This one is just one of those Ren classics that should be heard more. Check out this video from Ren's recent appearance at Secret Garden Party with none other than Eden Nash. ruclips.net/video/sPIe6M6p7o4/видео.htmlsi=knba38_bs2KS84Em Sad to hear that Ren is not doing so well atm and will be heading back to Canada for more treatment next month. His health was deteriorating at this concert. Nice reaction as usual. Kia kaha from NZ
They sang this back when Ren was still producing from his bedroom. Ren and Eden got together to perform this live at SGP. They found a last minute trumpeter that sounded great. Seems like Ren's life is cycling back into his songs with his health relapse. He will start home treatment as soon as he is done filming this weekend. Can't get back into Canada treatments till end of Oct. Feel so bad for him. He didnt need the stress of the Kujo thing for sure. But this us the nature of chronic illness .Life on pause again.
The kinetic lyric video really highlights the words. Eden was with Ren & Co. at The Secret Garden Party this year. Ren fans were thrilled, since Eden had not been doing much music in the last few years. She found modeling paid more. 😉 Thanks Izzy!
So glad you did this one. Great reaction . I use the "wait for the wisdom this fool will create" often. I think the difference in how we perceive this balance of light and dark. If I am able to look at the light with gratitude it keeps me from being over anxious about the inevitable return of the dark. Gratitude for the light helps me stay in the light and to retain hope in the dark. Hope you don't mind these long comments. You always make me think deeply, and I appreciate you for it.
I was lucky to see Ren's SGP show and was blown away when Eden joined him on stage with a properly good trumpeter and smashed this song outta the park! There are some vids on here of that song from the crowd. I think Elizabeth J's content from SGP is the best, I think she must have been within the area right in front of the stage. Eden Nash just dropped a song, it's really good. Never wrong to put some SKA on!
@@IzzyIzenstain thank you! I'm a recovering addict and I'm thankful to anyone willing to speak on the subject and especially thankful to Knox and Ren for bringing attention to it. I have lost many to the disease of addiction and it's heartbreaking. I went to school for addiction counseling after I got clean. Unfortunately I couldn't take the pain of losing so many clients to od, I think it's just too much for myself, but I've found ways to help others from the things I learned by getting my degree in that field. The more people that talk about it and break the stigma, the more others might feel like they can come forward and ask for help. I appreciate you! 💙💙💙
Ahhh what a great reaction, thanks Izzy. Full of little pearls of wisdom as always. I love what you said about the branches of a tree not being able to reach up to heaven without the roots reaching down to hell. I'm a sucker for a pithy adage 😄
I was a bit a Nutty Boy / Rude Boi in my early teens, I'm still a big fan of Madness, The Specials and The Beat. I'd love it if Ren did a cover or mash up of some early Ska classics. Baggy Tousers by Madness would suit Rens rapping style or Mirror in the Bathroom by The Beat would suit his reggae singing tone. Eden nash has a beautiful voice! and should have a lot more followers. Great video Thanks Izzy
Kevin Rolland says brum is his home city, saw the new album tour 10 years ago, it was awesome, latest Dexys cd is worth a listen for sure, Izzy, loved it, thank you Sir 🙏🐊❤️🦉👍
Yes Dexys were Birmingham (Kevin Rowland from Wolverhampton) I still absolutely love them and they are my most played LPs until I discovered Ren who has now pipped them off my top spot 😀
Hey Izzy, good ju ju to you mate. One of my favourites and an aptly named track. Love the messaging. The wisdom in lessons from rearview reflections. Easy to say, not always easy to learn. Grateful to be a student though. Take care Heath
I love this song! ❤ Thanks for another great reaction to a great song 👏🫶 Should get much more attention imo. The other collab of the two is Ocean, also definitely worth listening to!
Loved your reaction. I’m a big Dexy’s fan. You’re the first person I’ve heard mention them in years. I saw them once in Austin. I met and got to talk to Kevin, he signed a poster for me. I’ve read he was influenced by Bryan Ferry/Roxy music❤. I’d be thrilled if you ever wanted to do a show on LP, searching for the young soul rebel , and Roxy Music’s first album with a pinup girl in the front. I’m 67, I was a huge fan of both 0:18 from the beginning. Side note-Iggy Pop was a huge Bryan Ferry fan too. I enjoy your reactions. Thanks.
I discovered Gogol Bordello, many years later. Their live show reminded me of Dexy’s live show. Another side note - I saw Slade, Skyhooks, Nick Cave, lubricated goat… all Aussie bands I think, some go way back. I discovered the sensational Alex Harvey band when I was 19. I could write a book. Anyway if you ever get into any of this old obscure music, on your reviews/ reactions, I’d be down for it. 😎
Great reaction,. He did,Ocean, with her as well, which is worth a listen, she's very talented, but its so tough for indy artists.
Yep, another vouch for Ocean!
I'll check it out! Thanks!

He'll bounce back! He's that kind of guy! It's inspiring. Love to him! And to you, Frances!
🔥🔥🔥💙💙💙💥💥💥
Eden Nash recently released a new song on her channel that's pretty amazing as well. Plus Ren ft Eden on Ocean.
The kinetic lyric video really highlights the words. Eden was with Ren & Co. at The Secret Garden Party this year. Ren fans were thrilled, since Eden had not been doing much music in the last few years. She found modeling paid more. 😉 Thanks Izzy!
Thanks, Bonnie! I may check that out.
A song that really makes you feel good. "Get bigger boots," :D you always make me laugh. Ren's vocals on this are hitting it.
Lovely to hear, Barbara! Thanks!
hey Eden Nash has new song out called 3:05
She performed at the garden party that he did a couple weeks ago where he headlined the concert. She’s cute too, man.
Awesome reaction! I love Humble, it's part of my daily playlist ❤
Thanks, Amber!
I have this and their other, "Ocean," on my commute playlist. Gives me a bit of energy. Ren finds great talent to collaborate with.
So glad you did this one. Great reaction . I use the "wait for the wisdom this fool will create" often.

Not at all, David! Comment away! I have found great value in some of your comments! Be well, my friend!
Eden has a new song - 3:05. It’s worth a listen
Yes it’s great
I'll see if I can fit it in soon!
"Wait for the wisdom that this fool will create" is my next tattoo. It's become one of my favorite mantras for trying new things.

Nice! I'll check it out!
Always love your Ren reactions. Always interesting. Thanks Izzy ❤
Thanks, Sandra!
One of my favorite Ren songs. But to be honest, it's hard to choose between all his excellent songs.
It is!
Knox Hill ft Ren, Fentanyl, drops today. The audio is out now but the music video drops in 2 hours. It's a very deep song.
Video is amazing :)
Gonna do it soon!

Love the groove on this one❤
Reggae-Ren is awesome 🎉

I'll give it a spin! Thanks, mate!
Thx Izzy ❤
Dexys are brum / so many different styles. Kevin is an artist.
Good reaction 👍
Thanks, mate!
I believe Eden Nash recently performed with Ren at the Secret Garden Party. There is a fan video online of them doing this song. Thanks Izzy!
I may check it out soon. Thanks, Beverly!
Yep. Just cool af. 😂❤
I listen often to this song when I'm down and my illness seem too difficult to continue and every time I feel better and kind of decide to struggle on
Songs that can do that are so important! Glad you have it! Wishing you well, Anna!
I’m so happy you are looking at some of Ren’s older catalog. Early Ren is simply divine! Thanks Izzy.
I'm gonna get to it in the next few weeks!
🔥
You should really do Oceans after this one.
Cheers! 🍺

Me too, mate! Good vibes to ya, my friend! Thanks!
❤✌️
Eden recently decided to get back into music after taking a break from it for a couple of years. She released a new song named “3:05” a few weeks ago.
I might check it out, Colleen. Thanks!
I love this song! ❤ Thanks for another great reaction to a great song 👏🫶 Should get much more attention imo.
The other collab of the two is Ocean, also definitely worth listening to!
Thanks, Lana! I will get to it.
I used to give Kevin and some of the band lunch at my parents pub in Brum. 😂
Cool stuff! Is the pub still there?
@@IzzyIzenstain yes it’s the Camp Inn, Kings Norton.
Nice reaction.
Thanks!

Thanks, Jeannine! I'm a huge fan of Iggy Pop, Roxy Music and Slade! and I know bits and pieces of the others. Thanks, for watching!
loveee Dexy's Midnight Runners!
Ruby J, another woman that Ren has music with, really, really sounds like Amy Winehouse but different enough to not be a carbon copy.
Ruby J has an amazing voice - Ella Fitzgerald vibes ❤
English Beat maybe?
I think she was a girlfriend at one time., maybe.
