Thank you for watching! Happy Crocheting :) Хобби
Probably just me, but this new stitch visually reminds me of those popcorn tops that were trendy for a hot second in the early 00s. XD
Exactly what I was gonna say! 😂
the ones that reminds you of thneeds?
My aunt had 4 of those tops.
Those were so itchy 😭
Omg first thing that popped on my mind when I saw it 😂
Ooohw…the “flip, chain…wait, what did I even do?…ok ok..chain flip..oooh…wait wait wait!..ok yeah, am I doing it?” Is so recognizable with watching a tutorial on youtube!
This is me watching your tutorials sometimes 🥹😂😭😭😂😂😂
That texture, stretch, and snappiness of the zigzag one makes me think of those stretchy tops from the late 90s early 2000s lol
It might make a cool bag. But I’d probably cry if I started over as much as you did.
Imagine it as a pocket... so much stuff can fit inside🥹
Thabk you for trying out all of these swatches! Your sacrifice will be honored for millenia. 😂 I am storing this video essay in my mind palace of crochet stitches to remember for future projects.
I'm super shocked with how insanely stretchy that swatch was! And it turned out very pretty. I'd love to see a sweater vest made using that stitch.
Have a wonderful rest of your day! Be safe! 💖
So I started out as a knitter, and a few months ago I wanted to teach myself to crochet. I watched a RUclips tutorial for the slip stitch with a yarn over (I thought that would be easier since it looks like knit) omg it was so difficult, it turned me off to crochet! Now I know I should’ve definitely started with regular single crochets lol
I am so glad you are figuring out the hard parts for us. LOL 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
I love when you get into the specifics of crochet haha I learn stuff that beginner videos don’t talk about as often!!
The texture on this stich is very nice as well. Have a great and Passioknit Day❤😊
I dont know much about the stretchy stitches, but I did learn the herringbone stitch yesterday. its super cute, I love how chunky it is.
Currently obsessed with your picot bandanna tutorial. I made 3 last night and I’m making one while watching 😂
Me too!!!!!
same! ❤😂
samee!
I love her bandanna tutorials but when l do 75 or 85 chains l keep messing up because l loose track when l am counting (It’s a me problem)
The stitch was interesting and I’d love to see something made with it.
“I keep forgetting which way I just twisted” is so me 🤣💜
The yarn over slip stich works very nicely if you combine with the slip stich , 1 row yarn over slip stich and next row slip stich. It is great!
Just a thought, but you could run a shelf around the top of your room for extra storage. Also, from an older video you said someone gave you grief saying knitting and crochet were two different hobbies. Just tell the next person that you are bi-stitchual.
😂😂
the way the zigzag stitch bounces back is absurd i'm in awe
slip stitch back loop is my toppp, it looks good and stretches good!
When I was younger they actually had shirts with that texture. They looked really small and just stretched to fit you.
Me when learning a new pattern @8.47 😅😂😂
Love the video thank you❤
Wow, that new stitch really reminds me of the smocking that they put in clothing to help with sizing. I feel like that might be a good option for crochet tops! Especially if an author is writing many different sizes
I forgot it was Wednesday and I just got so excited!!
that stitch looks so cool! Perfect time to eat my lunch!
Love the look of the sl st blo and how it stretches
This was such an interesting video, thank you Kelsie!
Hi kelsieee I love your channel I just want to say you inspire me so much that I am starting my own crochet business 🎀🖤🖤🖤🖤
This new stitch opens up so many possibilities, one being stretchy neck sweaters!!!
I needed this #yarntutorial. Thank you for doing the hard work...

Thanks for taking us on a fun little crochet adventure. Always look forward to your content. Hope your week is fantastic.😊🧶😊
Thank you so much!
Love you Kelsie!!
I love your Blog so much! It's fun to crochet with you!☆☆
the new stitch is so interesting!
Holy hooks! This changes everything.
Always excited when I get the notification 🥰😂
Love when I get the notification for a new passioknit vlog 🎉❤
This was such an informative and interesting vlog I definitely think the zigzag stitch was cool see all worked up. Love the idea of a top made with it
Hi, enjoyed watching you learn a new stitch. It is stretchy. Interesting. 🧶🫂
So fun! This is definitely me with most tutorials 🤣 except yours!
Very informatif! As a knitter, I like the looks of the slip stitch in blo the best. The 'new' stitch is very intriguing.
I’m so glad you’re doing this. I tried this myself, and I also was very confused and definitely said my share of swear words!
I’d love to see you design a top with that stitch. 🤓
Great content. Depending on what one is making, choosing the elasticity of a stitch can be very important. Slip stitch BLO is my favorite, classic beautiful look, looks better than the zig-zag IMO, and stretches well.
Just got out of a crochet slump so I feel rlly motivated to crochet while watching your video :)
All I want is to make bucket hat with your tutorial.😊
The zigzag stitch one looks like a nice headband to me😊
The earliest I’ve ever been! I’m just so happy to watch your videos and crochet along without feeling alone ❤
never been so early but im glad! watching while working on projects myself since i have today off. hope youre doing well kels! ❤
My favourite is the single crochet blo, love the look of that. 😊The new stitch looks very complicated to me. 😮
Sl st blo is still my favorite. Thanks for doing the comparison.
Still a beginner so it would take me an hour to figure it out a stich 😂 I love trying new stiches to crochet 😊
Lol Love the concentration tongue! Mom says I pout when I'm focusing on my crochet. 😂
This stitch reminds me of Lori's Twisty Bind-off in knitting that I just learned while making a ranunculus sweater.
Hey! Us 40 yr old ladies take exception to your Candy Crush addiction. My mom plays Candy Crush obsessively and she's 65. You are actually a senior. 😂
This is such a helpful video I had to bookmark it!! Thanks, Kelsie!!
I recently made a triangle shawl with alternating FPDC/BPDC and DC. I am amazed at the stretch.
Looking at them, I don´t really like the new stitch, but it stretches great. I prefer the third one, but the second one stretched out is also gorgeous.
My fave looking would be the slip stitch but it is slow 😔 definitely going to try the zig zag
Thank you for showing me the SLST BLO I'm going to use that as a way to put pockets on my cardigan :) so they stretch and lay flat too
The new stitch reminds me on the sewing technique smocking so I wonder if doing like some sewn projects such as tops, dresses or skirts with a smocked top would work in crochet depending on the yarn drape 🤔 i tend to prefer slip stitch blo for most things since it tends to go back to shape and somehow more satisying than like sc blo. Hopefully my comment will actually post... I seem to have a problem where my comments dpnt always go through even with good internet. Thank you for another video! ❤
Thank you for doing this. My husband wants a beanie, but I don't normally make wearables, so was struggling trying to decide how I wanted to make this and I'm definitely going to go with the slip stich one.
Not me watching your vids while I crochet a sweater from your tutorial 😅
Of the two winners - the new one and the slip BLO, which is faster, and which uses less yarn? This was an awesome comparison video.
This was a really good experiment. It's good to know for any projects in the future 🤔
This was so interesting! I would love to see you make a bandeau top in the zigzag stitch to get an idea of how much negative ease you would use. Best wishes from Czechia.
WHAT, WE NEEDED THIS VIDEOOO
This is information I never knew I needed! Thank you so much ❤
I personally love using the herringbone hdc. It looks really pretty and can stretch quite a bit
I feel like this would make such a pretty shirt :O But I wouldn't have the patience for it x'D Cheers for sharing your experiment! :)
I've only done half double crochet back loop only. I'm definitely going to give it a try
Like the look of the zigzag stitch, but HDC is my favorite to do.
The snip of your scissors is so satisfying to me lol
the SS in BLO is so gorgeous
maybe I need to learn to knit lol
It’s an interesting stitch but looks complicated so I don’t know if it’s worth it. Hope you’re having a good evening!!!❤
I'd love to see the alternating front-post/back-post HDC or DC to see how that compares to the other ribbing, it kind of follows the idea of the zig zag one more and stretched horizontally like that... I do think the regular BLO stitches look better though
For the last week I have been working on a slip stitch back loop only project, so when I saw this video, I got really excited to work on it. The project started as a ribbed knit project but I think even slip stitch back loop only goes faster than knitting. Might be interesting to do a speed test between the two.
Can a video where u make everything pink 😊 please
Love the look of the zig zag one ❤ will have to give it a try ❤
This video is genuinely so interesting and good to know information!
Great show of the stitches. Thank you.
i love your videos! you should do "how many aboc tops can i make in one day!"
my fav looking is the slip st in back loop only. like you i dont like slow so prob wouldnot use it for rib looking bands and stick to the usual scblo. loved the video, its great seeing close up looks , thanks for putting in so much time on it.
Would love to see a top made with the new stiches. Also more of these test patterns would be great
slip stitch BLO looks the best but i do not have the patience hahaha.
i also learned that with tunisian crochet V stitch, you can achieve a similar knit-like v-stitch look of the slip stitch BLO but it's way easier to do IMO! i like it for scarves
I would love a tutorial on how you make the granny square buckle hat with your changes, it's easy to follow you. thanks
Good vid. Thanks for doing the comparison and for letting us know about the new stitch RUclipsr. I'm thinking that the new stitch would make a good top or bodice of a dress like you said.
Please Create a pattern of a Bandeau top! Your patterns are so easy to follow! Thank you for your creativity!
Lol this felt a lot like when I was starting crochet!
im usually never this early! i like this kind of video. i know you were looking for quicker content, and i think it would be cool for you to try out more crochet trends!!
Yay another video, i really liked the concept of your last video posted on yourube about reddit stories
I enjoyed this video. I'm going to try it eventually when I work up my courage LOL!😅
I recently found d a pattern that makes ribbing by alternating front post and back post double crochets and that’s the only way I’ll ever do it from now on lol it’s actually not very stretchy at all but it works up SO much quicker than other types of crochet ribbing and it’s a beautiful texture
wow. i've never seen that before ❤ great video ❤
Kelsie, you could maybe try to make different versions of crochet squares (I mean there are few “plain” ones like granny square, v-stitch square etc.) and compare their qualities in a video.
Love your video's you, inspire me a lot
Have you ever tried knooking? I discovered recently and I think you would like it cause you can do knitting stitches with a crochet hook
Looks awesome.... but I'm a beginner and won't even try to make it😂
Kelsie can you make a video of you weaving in your ends ?❤
❤
I love seeing how much your pup adores you 🐕🐾💖 Good God! You don't look 40!
She is 24 😂
@@Kehala20 HAHAH no wonder she doesn't look forty! Sometimes her dry wit sails right over my head rofl!
I haven’t watched this yet.. the other day I was thinking of stretchy & not stretchy stitches. So had the idea to make a video on this even though I don’t make videos!😂I suppose I manifested this…I am excited to see if you put in single crochet in the back loop every row, that is very stretchy & beautiful.
I do like single crochet in the back loop because my Grammy made me an afghan in that stitch, zig zag so it is sentimental to me & it looks great in many colors. Also love the slip stitch one.
Yay!! love it! Super stretchy ! Question - what would you make yours for? Bag? Cardi? Scarf? Beani?
is it normal to be frustrated when I' not able to watch your vid early? our net got disconnected last night!!! anyways, I love how your vids becomes more creative every week!
I bet that felt like learning to crochet again for the first time 😭 this seems like it could be good for waist bands??
