Our poor backgrounds may play a role in our perspective as well, I know in both our families multi generational homes weren't unheard of only a few generations ago. On the topic of children fearing their parents: I’ve been a single dad of two girls since 2015. I’ve heard my whole life that being a single mother is hard, but being a single father to two girls (12 & 9)… it’s incredibly easy. I don’t know what’s so hard about it. They do what I say without much pushback. The women tell me that it’s because their scared of me. Well they should be but they aren’t. My girls know how to play me. Yes they understand that papa don’t take no mess but they aren’t scared of me. They are just kids loving life.
My daughters fear disappointing me. It hurts them the most when I tell them that they have disappointed me. That’s the relationship that I want with them. I don’t have to hit them to hurt them and I’m not unreasonable with my expectations because I’m a man they are my daughters. I let them make their choices and I know that boys are coming into the picture fast.
Honestly, I have two sons and when I tell them to do something, theres always some sort of push back or negotiation at first. They are only 8 and 10 years old. When my husband tells them to do something in the most normal manner possible, they move instantly like they just recieved instruction from a Sargent General. I find children truly understand that the man in the house is head, he's stronger and superior so they yield to that authority more readily than they would to a woman. My boys behave like lion Cubs trying to take over the pride when the male lion (their dad) is not around. Perhaps this is why women for the most part tend to do a horrible job raising boys as a single parent.
I’m glad Kevin asked the lady how many times she wears a dress. That made me think because I was forced to wear dresses being the only granddaughter on my mother’s side. I was taught how to cook from scratch serve my two brother’s (I’m the middle child) I’ve never had a hot girl summer or lived with a female. I'm an engineer who married an engineer. I come from a married family she came from single black women households. My masculinity would not allow another masculine lady, so her independent teachings went far to the back burner. Going on 6 years of marriage and her single female coworkers are going on 30+ still trying to date for marriage. They will at least be able to take care of themselves...but man they are freezing their eggs and/or accepting not having any more children. It sucks, but life is about choices and tradeoffs. Hot girl summers get old after more than a decade, and harder to leave when it's all you know 😳.

yup my husband is an alpha, I was raised by a single mother. He had to teach me the family unit, and I'm grateful I met him. I get to show my daughter the definition of who a man is and how important he is in the family unit. I also work, make 6 figures annually and we still run a traditional household. It can be done!

The young lady who proudly proclaimed that she can cook macaroni was failed in her upbringing. It's a shame that there are so many young (and older) women who don't know how to cook! When I first heard the saying "the way to a man's heart is his stomach" as a little girl, I took that saying to heart and was determined that I would learn how to cook (I was cooking pancakes, eggs, and sausage for breakfast at 8 years old) . I remember in college, I was a part of an organization and we were having a potluck meal. One other young lady chuckled at the fact that she couldn't cook. Inside all I could do is shake my head--thinking "how do you expect to get a husband if you can't cook?". I actually thought that! Meanwhile, I was serving...ironically, a big aluminum pan of baked macaroni and cheese to which, at the end, was completely gone (yes, I threw down in the kitchen AS A COLLEGE STUDENT. I had pots and in my dorm room).

However, there’s a legit fear of gold diggers that cause men to generalize. Just as there’s a legit fear among women that most men just want sex. I’ve put in a tremendous amount of work on improving myself. I used to suffer from severe social anxiety because I did nit think and behave like the other women, they targeted and bullied me. I would prefer to be a housewife as working full time and still being expected to be fit, well rested looking, and in the mood for sex is hard lol. On the topic of children fearing their parents: I’ve been a single dad of two girls since 2015. I’ve heard my whole life that being a single mother is hard, but being a single father to two girls (12 & 9)… it’s incredibly easy. I don’t know what’s so hard about it. They do what I say without much pushback. The women tell me that it’s because their scared of me. Well they should be but they aren’t. My girls know how to play me. Yes they understand that papa don’t take no mess but they aren’t scared of me. They are just kids loving life.

Honestly, I have two sons and when I tell them to do something, theres always some sort of push back or negotiation at first. They are only 8 and 10 years old. When my husband tells them to do something in the most normal manner possible, they move instantly like they just recieved instruction from a Sargent General. I find children truly understand that the man in the house is head, he's stronger and superior so they yield to that authority more readily than they would to a woman. My boys behave like lion Cubs trying to take over the pride when the male lion (their dad) is not around. Perhaps this is why women for the most part tend to do a horrible job raising boys as a single parent.
I’m glad Kevin asked the lady how many times she wears a dress. That made me think because I was forced to wear dresses being the only granddaughter on my mother’s side. I was taught how to cook from scratch serve my two brother’s (I’m the middle child) I’ve never had a hot girl summer or lived with a female. It was by the way I was raised my mom instilled feminine in me she passed when I was 19 years old. I’m now 43 years old outside of my occupation being in uniform as a lab technician I own mostly dresses, skirts and blouses which is my comfort zone the first choice I wear. I'm an engineer who married an engineer. I come from a married family she came from single black women households. My masculinity would not allow another masculine lady, so her independent teachings went far to the back burner. Going on 6 years of marriage and her single female coworkers are going on 30+ still trying to date for marriage. They will at least be able to take care of themselves...but man they are freezing their eggs and/or accepting not having any more children. It sucks, but life is about choices and tradeoffs. yup my husband is an alpha, I was raised by a single mother. He had to teach me the family unit, and I'm grateful I met him. I get to show my daughter the definition of who a man is and how important he is in the family unit. I also work, make 6 figures annually and we still run a traditional household. It can be done!

I remember in college, I was a part of an organization and we were having a potluck meal. One other young lady chuckled at the fact that she couldn't cook. Meanwhile, I was serving...ironically, a big aluminum pan of baked macaroni and cheese to which, at the end, was completely gone (yes, I threw down in the kitchen AS A COLLEGE STUDENT. However, there’s a legit fear of gold diggers that cause men to generalize. Just as there’s a legit fear among women that most men just want sex. I’ve put in a tremendous amount of work on improving myself. I used to suffer from severe social anxiety because I did nit think and behave like the other women, they targeted and bullied me. I would prefer to be a housewife as working full time and still being expected to be fit, well rested looking, and in the mood for sex is hard lol. I hated working alongside feminist women who seemed pretty competitive and miserable on average.

Interestingly enough she fought for keeping her relationship together! She wasn't kicking his back in. Everyone doesn't start at the top. I started from scratch with my first wife and we produced a decent life with three productive children.

We live apart and it works! We're both financially sound I'm a business owner and his a high salaried paid professional man. Nevertheless we do everything together outside of our work. Yes living together is a complete lifestyle change. I love sleeping alone knowing I have my man. Great question who's going to move to who. I'm sure we will figure this out as we go. I make sure we revisit our relationship goals regularly so we can be on the same page. We will share space one day.
