Everyone should have known that once we got to this location dragon age would change forever. Its an extremely technology advanced country just using magic. From lore reading it sounds a lot like a sci fi location in a fantasy world which tends to happen in very magic accepting cultures in fantasy. Of course the grim dark tone of dao is going to be gone. Im sure we will get darker story beats but im honestly not going to hate. The combat looks good to me. The ui looks good, the world looks just liike i expexted, and the only thing that annoys me is the change of the qunari appearance. Im so invested in DA at this point and aside from some fluff, inquisition with the trespasser DLC is a great game and had a good story. Im going to play it even if we get like a 7/10 game. If it sucks i will be taking an L but its not the first time id buy a game and not feel it and switch right away

I do lol, and now it's regarded as an amazing game that everyone loves lmao. Got a feeling this will be the same way. I am excited for it and will be playing day 1 ❤.

To be honest, the tactical camera needed to go. It might have been useful in Origins, but since DA2, it's pretty much been an afterthought.

I won't miss the tactical camera at all, never really used it, not even in Origins. Same with controlling party members.
Do the companions have any way you can set up how they act? Like in final fantasy 12 or in origins?
Hoping to win a copy of this game because I loved Origins and Inquisition, and the combat from DA: Inquisition was good and this looks more like that!
The UI reminds me of an action rpg like Diablo, skills with cooldowns and you also have access to trigger your companion’s abilities
@@deadexo-3 ui probably it’s weakest point. But then again inquisition wasn’t that much greater either
@@Khrazegaming I have to go back and try again inquisition. I kept trying to 100% each region and didn’t even see the end or the DLCs.
I did like DA2 tho, solely for the Mage combat… and the mod that let me be a Mage and keep the sister.
@@deadexo-3 do it. It’s so worth it. Rogue tempest and knight enchanter used to be my favorites. DLCs are worth it imho.
I don’t trust EA or BioWare. I’ll wait until full reviews are out.
Massive fan of what i'm seeing with the veilguard. Looks like a all around solid game. Not sure where the weird hate is coming from but hey gaming in 2024 needs to be filled with drama i guess
@Naughty-Carlos as I said I'm not really into hating games and pretending like I'm an actual gamer. I know a lot of Gamers seemingly just like you can't exist in 2024 without hating something. Maybe I should stop playing video games and go do something else in your life you're very clearly not fulfilled you have to project on a game that has show nothing but a solid overall title
Its not that we want to hate something. We are tired of the DEI agenda being shoved into every game.
Didnt help how drastic they changed the art style. It looks very cartoony. Yes they change the color schemes i guess you could say with each installment, but the character designs kinda look like fortnite.
Also, they've already been going on about how every character is pansexual and stuff, which could be fine. If they aren't making a big deal out of it, but if that's a selling point for a game, then that's concerning. Also, the writers and devs for this game have shown a few times they don't really know much beyond the surface level about the franchise which shows they don't really seem to care to stick to the lore.

Is the lock-on/camera angles wonky? apparently it doesnt track enemies and goes all over the place.
The gameplay we are watching i can't see any of that. Seemed to be switching targets rather smoothly.

@@CharlesVanexX but they really did, action based from Mass Effect used for Dragon Age Veilguard. No Tactical rpg order elements. It seems theyre taking going to take shortcuts so they use same combat but with guns and stuff. I’ll see how this game turns out.

I always turn dmg number on in games. There’s just something satisfying about min maxing builds and watching the numbers go up. Just found out you could turn dmg numbers on in Black Myth which is great!
So instead of a great RPG we got SFX orgy in an action combat game. I guess I'll skip that title. Not my DA anymore :(

I don t need to forget anything, nowadays games are so expensive that we can t affford to buy them with anything lower then a 10/10 in terms of interest in the game. To me it looks mid so pass, if there is a catered audience then be my guest

All I see is when you go into a fight, the exits are blocked off. That reminds me of a loot n shoot, then they changed their mind and made it offline but didn't bother to change the game.
Black myth blocks exists as well after entering boss fights. Only exception is spirits

I loved origins, and 2 i'll see how I feel about this when it's released. so far, I've been kind of Eh about it. I could accept the combat changes if it didnt have this horrendous art style.

It really doesn't, though. I love origins too, but let's be real: the gameplay was never its strong suit. That's why they changed it in every game since. Most DA fans are in it for the story anyway.

@@Khrazegaming Actually, kidding aside, I understand why it was not known to many - the terrible lag. Iirc, they only had a few servers in one region (NA?), no p2p connection. It always lagged a lot, even when connecting to friends nearby.
