I learned to drive they way this Pro explains. The first time I got into a dicey situation with anti-lock brakes, I damn near lost it. They have been disabled on all subsequent cars.
So instead of adapting to a technology that, certainly in more recent cars (ie. The last 20 years or so) is safer as it stops your wheels locking up under heavy braking, thereby allowing you to perform evasive manoeuvres under heavy breaking, you just disable it?
@@Jo3man96 It's doubtless safer for the majority of drivers who are essentially lousy behind the wheel. A well experienced driver might well be more efficient and much safer with the older technology.
@@tomtom1541 No question. The first time it activated it nearly threw me into a spin. I managed to override it with my foot on the brake and regained control of the vehicle. I seldom get into hard braking situations despite the incompetent, inattentive drivers around me, but one or two subsequent events without the anti-lock were well and safely controlled and disaster avoided. 🙂
4:01 - “But he’d turned into his garage space in such a hurry, that he’d hit the post and knocked the roof down”. 😂😂
24:34, surprised they allowed that word on TV in the 90's!
I wasn't even aware they made 6 of these. I bought the first three on VHS and thought that the American one after the third one was their last.
The UK has good driving laws...good cops and lousy courts and sentencing.

@@Brian1Gravesyour not though, abs can activate in around 0.1 seconds. You can't move the brake pedal nearly that fast.

Funniest part was the drunk cyclist at the end. I once saw a drunk arguing with a lamp post - yes really.
