The EU Nature Restoration Law

The EU Nature Restoration Law (NRL) was taken off the Council of Minister’s agenda for final sign off on March 25th. Its future is uncertain. The presentation will set out the losses we have caused and witnessed, the urgency of restoring nature and the milestones our governments are committed to. In the second half of the talk we explore how - from tiny adaptations to large scale opportunities. Restoration examples will focus on wetlands and functioning of the coastal zone with extra climate change mitigation and adaptation challenges. A final word is on the pitfalls of narrow focus restoration projects
