The quote “We can’t solve a problem with the same thinking that caused the problem come to mind”.
Years and years of efforts to promote production at all costs, cheap food and globalisation many direct policy’s that encourage destruction of biodiversity or at least limit any incentives to improve it are still in place. We can’t feed the world sustainably while restoring nature from the top down, it has to be built by empowering resilient communities to build up.
Unfortunately these laws will just further disempower communities, make people more dependent on even more industrial agriculture practices on a smaller area of land, make people more dependent on engineered food like products.
It all sounds lovely but the results won’t be pretty and this is not a call to do nothing but to question ideas that aim to protect nature from man rather than addressing why it needs to be protected from man.

Why is it anti intuitive that we end up with more fish when fishing with is forbidden or limited?
