I am a master tier Invoker... I understand that quas increases Carl’s health regeneration but, this show also likes to reference items from Dota. Exort manipulates fire elements... Carl was holding two leaves/blades of grass.. and it kinda looked like a “Faerie fire”.. it’s possible but, others may have their interpretations.. this is my own when I first saw that scene... it doesn’t restore a lot of health but, it’s enough and crucial for survival in a fight.. and you can have multiple if you want.

It's very faithful to the game. As a fan of the game and the lore I was really surprised they managed to pull it off. Especially since game adaptations have such a bad reputation. I think it worked because they were more focused on writing a story about the characters based on their existing lore rather than just putting every single thing in the game or writing a generic story first then placing it in the Dota universe.
Can you imagine what this series would look like if it were taken over by a team from Disney / Marvel / StarWars studios? Can you imagine a version with real actors?

I thought it was faerie fire but since he's consuming the grass that makes more sense if it's a tango since you use it on trees
Invoker either used Faerie Fire or a Tango, not Exort. The yellow orb was where he imprisoned the dragon.
