New subscriber! Good vibes from Brazil 🤙👏
Mad respect from a crew of cold-water Baltic Surfers in Poland. This wave looks heavy, tumultous and has a shifting peak/take-off. Hats off to the locals, aloha from Central Europe!
Aloha! 🤙😎🙏
Much respect to the finless leashless softop 😂
Would love to meet the person who went out with that setup. Hilarious.
@Michael Kean I was giving whoever it was a virtual high five for being awesome. You missed the point I was trying to make.
@Michael Kean it’s called being smug
probably didnt have fins either
That's what I was going to say! I'm like, is that a Wavestorm alaia???
YOU GUYZ ROCK! I don't think people realize how sketchy this spot is. WELL Done!
Sharky?
💯
@@atm083 sharky / rippy / rocky reputedly
We do ;-) Been there windsurfing a few times and yeah it's a tricky one..
53 degree water, waves from every angle and still a crowd ... gotta appreciate these guys!
💯
I used to surf this spot and Crons so much when I lived in Sonoma County prior to moving to Encinitas in 2001, and it's no joke super sketch. Cold, rips, sharky, and the locals don't put up with barns. Much respect and love for this place. I may be back someday to get a sesh in, but I may choose a smaller day haha!
If you live in Encinitas you might know a one time bay area surfer, he's in North County, Oceanside to be specific. He's surfs Cardiff Reef a lot. His name is Marcelo, I won't mention his last name here.
@@BangTaoBeach Totally know him haha! Surfed a lot with him at Grandview (Avo's).
Very cool!
I absolutely would love surfing in such surprisingly unexpected place. Great waves!
You should!
I used to surf here by myself and be the only person out. Never, ever saw it this crowded before.
Calm down haters it's a short video inside a bay of a spot where the waves are breaking from every direction, check it out some waves are breaking literally 90 degrees from how others break, plus an insane current due to the placement of the spot and an inconsistent takeoff point. And yeah these are just normal people. But nice job all the professional surf watchers in the comments lmao. Watched a few WSL contests and think they understand how to surf heh
Funnest dam wave ever !!
Insane current and shifty sets? They would be right at home around the corner at OB, if they could make it out!
Barn fest
To your defense, unless anyone has ever surfed a heavy current and refracting waves, it’s a crap shoot on where to line up to and if you wanted to line up there, the current keeps you away. Bad placement will suck you out to sea.
Haha 😂
the boys looked like they were having a tough time getting in the right spot. except for zuckerberg on his flying surfboard at the end
That wasn't zuckerberg, he doesn't know how to surf.
@@kawikadee9670 bruh
I wonder if that's the same guy to got his shit beat down a few weeks ago. Seems they don't like foilers there.
@@TKM11370 Pretty shitty behavior, specially considering that foilers do not interfere with the others! This is what gives surfing a bad rap!
@@nixl3518 the guy lost his foil and it got flushed through the lineup. Lucky no one got taken out. It was an extremely dangerous situation. Foilers shouldn't be anywhere near surfers for safety reasons and the locals there do not tolerate any crap.
Looks like a tough break. Really cool. I bet the Golden Gate looks huge when you're in the water.
Such a cool break. Right under the Golden Gate Bridge, beautiful
Thanks for the comment! 🙏 Glad you like it
I didn't realize how sketchy those waves got. You've got waves heading in at every angle and then big outside sets. Mad respect.
Love it. Don't think I've ever seen Ft. Point spit like that before
Yeah, usually not too safe a ride, these so nice 🍺
LOVE IT!!! SO GOLDEN!
🌉
Guy paddling for the wave at 3:08 ...lol
I love the dude with the wavestorm like slippin around
OK OK OK, everybody was screaming when they pulled up to take a look 🍺
Love part-time casual wave spots
🤙😎
Great serendipity
💯🤙
Hell wave storm shredding
Best wave finless wavestorm
😂🤙
I like that shot under the bridge👍👍
Even never surf this spot love this place cool vibes ;)
Looks like a hard wave to catch, gotta be a lot of current under the bridge there
Water under the bridge
@@foryou1324 the current (flow of water)
Much love from winter surfers in Veneto, Italy!!!
Gratzi!! Much love to you too 🤙
Really dope!
Looks cold. But wow!!
😎🤙
A lot water always moving around there. Cold and sharky. A bit of a novelty spot and at the same time an excellent venue with the Fort, the bridge and Alcatraz to boot. Nice video.
Couldn't agree more!
i love our Planet, how beautiful Spots it gives for Us
Huh wrong comment .....for this video....not the most naturall spot ?!
@@johnpaschos7140 next
I surfed there in the mid 70's. They live and possibly die by the tide charts.
Super cool.
Great Waves & Great Whites!
👀
Looks cold and peaky
Looks really cold... As a Hawaiian surfer, Ima pass on that, it looks very sharky and you guys are all in the line up wearing seal costumes...
😂
without those seal costumes we’d be dead from hypothermia anyway 😂😂
More please. This is cinema gold. Like a silent comedy.
awesome work bro, great vibes. at one time SF was my second home.
🙏
Reminds me of the Princeton Jetty in regards to refracting of waves. GGB has a nice left. Jetty a sweet right. Hats off to all out there earning stripes and cutting teeth.
Totally agree
The kooks were ripping. 😁
😂
beautiful spot
Very!
@@NorCalSurfer what about the sharks?
this looks crazy! would love to try here on a smaller day. Does that happen? Is there a time where the currents are less... dangerous?
Entry and exit is a little sketch even when small. Currents can always be a factor
That wavestorm guy is epic
😂
Wow, a Foil and SUP. How lucky for all these surfers to share such a tight lineup with a Foil and SUP. LOL.
You got that right!
I'm not if NorCal Surfer took this video from someone else, but another clip shows the foil using a boat to get into the lineup. Apparently, he was a complete kook, lost his board, and the locals took it and destroyed it on the rocks.
I have seen that spot break previously, but not like it is depicted in this video. It looks like a fine surfing day in the city by the bay!
Indeed!
No two waves area the same just wonderful
SSF in the house! The bay area has the best surfing spots! From Mavericks to Linda Mar to Ocean Beach to The Jetty to Dunes Beach to The Golden Gate To Montara To Rockaway and to Santa Cruz out of the way way! PS Their is a secret spot inside the SF bay that breaks at very high tides with 2 sometimes 3 ft faces and endless lefts somewhere between San Mateo and Redwood City. The water is warm to and no their are no waves at Coyote Point.
Who'd a known the golden gate bridge takeoff was a slab.
Sooo cool
awesome sauce
🤙😎
So sick getting towed otb with a wake board boat off the tower lol. But str8 peaks out there it is going off
Flopping hell yes id surf it. didnt know you could even surf under that bridge. iv only seen this bridge in films, when you are surfing at this break can you see Alcatraz Island? What a location to surf at, flopping ripa!!!!! Gday from Western Australia or Shamesville as we call it. Peace and Love ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's crazy knowing how many Great White Sharks swim around there too
True that. Takes a special type of surfer
@@NorCalSurfer yup, Nor Cal has those types lol
Just like this when I visited 30 years ago
At least no one can figure out where this is - it’s home break of my youth.
Would cut school at Presidio and Washington day after storms .
How peaceful, and great optics. Me personally I would be afraid of white sharks.
Actually reminds me of how South Garbage at Sunset Cliffs (SD) breaks when it's bigger.
Or indicators
Nice lefts.
They are
Yes I like it
😎🤙
What was that ski boat doing out there tow in’s?!?
I'm from Huntington and that's one of my bucket list waves. Looks so fun and gotta love the novelty element too!
💯
Damn surfers will surf anywhere.
Can't even head dip the joint😂
Was there tuesday which was pretty good also
Man it's just hilarious watching popular spots these days
I don't get it?
Why’s that
Because everyone's a huge kook
@Michael Kean are you not entertained?
@@damodaraomalley3974you probably haven't been surfing long
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeew✌️❤️
line up of barns
With how much i see people talking about currents, the ones that are on long boards & learning seem have no trouble with it 🤔 definetly colder up north so yew to the rippers
That's pretty good for Fort Point.
Straight firing out there 🤙
Wonder what the left up the point was doing this day…
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've lived in Marin my whole life and am an open water swimmer who loves swimming in big waves, and I have never heard of big waves here! Thank you so much @NorCal Surfer
Reef,boulders or sand underneath?
That takes some big kahunas the size of coconuts to get out in water that cold and not to mention waters that harbors some of the biggest great whites on the planet. RESPECT.
💯
how often does this wave break? I'm guessing it needs very specific swells? would love to know :)
Needs to be pretty big
SHARKYYYYY
Looks like you’re more likely to get hurt by a shoulder hopping kook than the rocks
Death from above!
Agree Bo J.
I thought I saw a dorsal fin. A really big one. Probably a reflection off of the water. Probably.
That’s my bot back there- well I have the exact same bot
I seem to recall a much better wave up the bay from there which was even more sketchy and dominated by kneeboarders. At least that's how it was in the 90's.
Where the better waves were coming through, it looked like there were too many wash-through to maintain a decent position. You’d have have a LOT of cardio to successfully sit there.
Ugh... High Tide?
If you can't see the rocks, it's not worth paddling there.
Thanks for sharing NorCal Surfer!
Peace, love, and respect.
BVB still out there?
gotta be a way to actually take off on the peek ,, seems the best waves go un ridden
Needs some super strong shoulders
nivelazo en el agua jjojojojojoj
Cold, dark and Sharkey...just the way I like it, from looks of the surfing there it's not that good very often 🧚
It isn't...
....but when it's good it's super fun
Is water clean or dirty
interesting wave
Sure is 🤔
cool
Amazing pic
Thank you so much 😀
were some of those waves caused by wake from the large ships that went by in the background? or maybe made bigger by the wake form those ships?
I think it was a powerful winter swell (from Alaska) 🤙
@@NorCalSurfer I would think there'd be a little bit of push from those large ships. I imagine you've seen Ben Gravy surf those large ferrry boat's wakes up in Jersey. He was relatively close to those wakes so the distance that those waves at Golden Gate bridge might be able to gather a bit more momentum... idk. Just thinking aloud! 🏄♂️
I'm sure the big cargo ships' wake do effect the way the waves break
Freaky wave for a strange city. How come the dude on the finless WaveStorm got one of the better rides? The dude must know something...
That’s what I was thinking. Like he got towed in. Good eye.
Wait let me drop in one you 🤣🤣🤣
One thing about FP , it is about 100 times gnarlier than it looks from shore.
The "drag you out the back"at outgoing tide is real.
No, it looks gnarled and scary just from this video ❄️🌊🦈
Man the waves were cooking. Was so hoping to see someone get slotted on a bomb. I'm sure it will happen soon enough
One of these days!
I don’t know what planet you are on but where I’m from it’s still fall winter starts 12/21
Watch out for jumpers!
Always wanted to surf that wave . Kinda crowded and guys seemed to be out of rhythm
That barrel is pinching so much in the end but I think its doable, hardest bit is to be on the spot.
Nah just nobody knows how to ride a barrel
juvenile white shark cruzed the lineup Tuesday
I'd believe it.
