They thought the game was too easy is beyond telling that they didn't play test the game thoroughly, along with many of the re-used stages, shows that the game was rushed from the very beginning it was being made.
@@doclouis4236 not really, it's more like they played the game too much that it became easy for them and afraid that the fanbase complains about the difficulty being too easy : the reused stage are just an excuse to pad out the game, soo many things about this game are uneccessarily padded out like the excessive completion and n-verted mode if it was rushed or not playtest them, the game would be a buggy mess with not much thought being put out. But nope the game is pretty much polished and the level design is well made all things consider, it's just the completion they intentionally made some BS move just so they can make it "difficult"

WTF were they thinking when making some of these decisions? The padding is unnecessary just as much as the inclusion of extra characters, which they don't even get to have their own complete level (with the exception of one for Tawna) and have to reuse yet one of the same levels they use for Crash/Coco but only with minor changes to the box layout, this already on top of having an n. verted version for levels that already recycles the same level. Which means they reused a certain amount of levels with the extra characters, at most, four times. That's absurd. They made the game intentionally difficult by limiting your moveset and more requirements for 100% completing a level, how does anybody enjoy this? It's taking some of the most annoying aspects of the classic games and amplifying them to induce more anger out of the player. There is no way anybody can say in true honesty that this is a good game when it doesn't do much new or innovative to the Crash formula that the originals already did and Crash 4 just lifts certain level gimmicks or powers from previous games and just places them in a different context with limited use cases in specific levels that you only get to use a handful of times before taking those mask powers away (also, you can't even wear the masks on your face).
at 3.5 hrs expected to watch this in the background, but the pacing and editing was just too good, kept me hooked the whole time and im gen z that never happens

Aside from the occasional over-editing, this video is actually insanely good. The fact that you did this all blind is so much more entertaining than the million other plat videos of people just using a guide from the very start. Generally a very entertaining 3 and a half hours.

I generally loved the video, good time throughout the whole video. I liked how you put the difficulty into perspective with the timer and references to how long it took others; the background music was always between good and fire; it was good to see the effort didn't fall off after the first 10%. I think the glitch-horror parts were a bit loud and over the top (I always sped up to 3x in these parts); I wanted to see more of Nitro Processing; I would like to see the song names/artists pop up briefly as they start (I just Shazam'd my headphones instead); sometimes when you fail a section, you didn't show you succeeding; most of the zooms didn't help me see what I supposed to look at.
First of all, amazing video, i'm glad you're back. Secondly, one of the gems is at the jumpscare section, which i did find a bit of a weird shape for a jumpscare. Thirdly, crash 4 TWOC was my first crash game, i'll always respect it and respect how fucking hard it was back then

Great video! Props to you for finding all the hidden gems with minimal help. I got my crash 4 platinum a little while ago. Got incredibly lucky with toxic tunnels and got the N sane relic in a couple tries after getting all the gems. But boy did the time trial remind me how lucky I got, took me forever to get the platinum.
The best thing that helped me was learning that you don’t need all the boxes to get the under 3 death gem! Spent so long trying to do certain levels, when I figured I can fly through them, ignore the boxes and do it easily under 3 deaths hahaha
I watched this video over the span of 2 weeks. What a colossal achievement Xem, I enjoyed it from start to finish. Shout out to your editor too because this would have taken weeks or months to put together and it really paid off.
For what it's worth, I'm very happy with the viewership it's currently getting. I always aim for views = sub count every video, and it's nearly there! Everything past that is a bonus :) I'm glad you enjoy it!
To be honest, considering you even beat developer time trials very quickly you managed to do EXTREMELY well in this game. I'm currently on my second 106% playthrough and the only dev relic I ever got was intentionally in Rude Awakening. My second playthrough isn't much easier than the first despite already having mastered the game just half an year ago. 😨

I played Crash 4 through the PS Plus monthly games, and I wanted to platinum it before my PS Plus expired after a month (I wasn’t gonna renew it afterwards), and I couldn’t do it. not because I ran out of time, but because I gave up to spare my sanity

It’s crazy how easy 106% was the second time around. PS5 save took about 80 hours, and the second time around on PS4 a year later only took around 45-50 hours
Yeah my first time through completing this game it took me FOREVER to collect everything like roughly over 100 hours. And it sucked mainly the N. Verted hidden gems. However when I got the game for my PS5 and so obviously I had to 106% it and surprisingly I got it no problem and even quicker when I played the free PS5 upgrades version. Crash 4 has become one of my favorite games to just complete casually

Xem, LOVE what i've seen of the vid so far (and fully intend to watch the whole thing) but just as feedback I'd like to mention, as someone who's on the very photosensitive end, a lot of the static/glitch effects especially over montages are very rough to look at for me. Like, hurt my eyes rough. I love this though

I feel like I'm the only one who likes the underwater n-verted effect. It gives these levels a really relaxing atmosphere.
Crash 4 is pain incarnate, and the overall vibe of a rated E mascot platformer humbling you adds to the mental damage. Great job.
