  • Marvel Crisis Protocol is a deep and interesting game. We continue the start of the channel with a deep dive and detailed discussion of our one of our favorite affiliations: Midnight Sons
    We rank each affiliated character, our favorite splash characters, and each and every tactics card into a tier list. No stone goes unturned as we spend a good amount of time going over each and every character, discuss synergies with the leadership, and debate how best to play the Midnight Sons.
    Syndicate Gaming is a RUclips channel focused on the ins and outs of competitive gaming. Most of our content is for Marvel Crisis Protocol, but we will dive into other miniatures games like Star Wars Legion, Warhammer, and Star Wars Shatterpoint.

    Really appreciating some new MCP content. Got in to the game recently and a lot of the content is from different points in the game before certain waves of character updates and crisis changes so the info is a little outdated. Also a lot of content creators are splitting their time now on Shatterpoint.

    I've watched this probably 5 times by this point.
    As a new player, thinking of starting Midnight Sons then going to Criminal Syndicate or Convocation: you have an instant fan.
    Best of luck to the channel! I look forward to continued content.

      Glad to hear you’re enjoying the channel! We just want other people to get as much fun out of MCP as we do. You won’t regret trying out midnight sons- they can do so many cool things.

    I enjoyed the video quite a bit and I feel as though I learned a good deal about the Midnight Suns (I don't play them, and most people at my LGS don't either).
    Like the previous video, though, I would like to see an explanation of what each tier means BEFORE you dive into any rankings. I think that would help me as a viewer better understand why you prize the things you do, and I think it would help you remain focused.
    As for more videos, I would love to see you break down Sentinels, including what you think they need in their next character box (whenever that might be coming).
    Looking forward to the next one!

      Thanks for the input, really glad you’re liking the videos! The tiers for us are mostly just to stimulate conversation, but I agree we should do more to define them. To me an S is a character that has some kind of unique impact that could swing the game for you, and also is good enough that you want them in the majority of your games. A are your consistently good characters with less of a big splashy impact or with a major weakness. B are characters that are niche role players. C are fine characters but struggle to make your competitive roster. D characters are just hard to do anything good with.

    I would love to see tier lists/list building per leadership.
    Like...
    X-Men with Cyclops leadership
    Avengers with Sam Cap leadership
    Avengers with Hulk Buster leadership
    Defenders with Daredevil leadership...
    And so on...

    I am surprised no one runs MODOK (either one) in midnight sons. His biggest weakness is being thrown into obscurity and bump pretty much removes that as an option. Have you guys tried using him?
    I hear the Venom works well in Midnight Sons as well aince he is slow and automatically causes bleed. I am wondering if Carnage would likewise be good as he does the same but has a farther move. What are your thoughts on those two?

      That is a great idea! Honestly can’t believe I never thought of trying MODOK.

    I feel like for Blade you want to splash Weapon-X characters for the bleed on every character and low cost spenders, which makes for a brutal attrition game when the whole enemy team is losing a health per round or sacrificing actions, and they really like the bump to get in range for double attacks with pierce and their host of place mechanics from attacks. Making a hyper mobile attrition team that basically makes Blade only killable by one shot since he has essentially a healing factor of all his health every turn if he's near enemies.

    • @johnparker3264
      @johnparker3264 Год назад +1

      That for sure plays to his strengths, which is pretty crucial when you only have the one leader. I really love the bump on Weapon X too!

      Leaning super heavy into his bleed synergies is a sure fire way to lose more games than win them. MS doesn’t need any additional help outside of affiliation to win the attrition game, especially with iHulk.

    • @nklinef
      @nklinef Год назад +1

      @@skylerlowery5437 the biggest thing is playing into hyper mobility and the low cost spenders letting you bump into position and still get your combo off, while simultaneously repositioning. Blade is there for clean up and hold central objectives once your Weapon X models have bled everything in sight.
