Yeah it's so completely crazy.
but makes complete sense tbh
She is not in the top 10billionares in the world. There is no Chinese, Japs n Koreans too. 1 Indian in the 9th position n the others r mainly US n EU. Where did she come from. Is her money in yuan billionaires list?

Lisa is an absolute inspiration. Since seeing her first interviews and AMD presentations in 2014/15s, I was absolutely blown away by her passion. Happy to see Lisa succeed, best of luck going forward! (and keep in mind my wife thinks I'm a chauvinist)
Im annoyyed at my self. I was told by a friend to invest in amd when it was all the way down and amd zen was just a speculation. He told me that amd was about to go up. And i believed him but decided not to because i though no one could beat intel. Now i wish i had invested my money in them instead of just bitcoin. But all thr good for amd.

Her innovations is fantastic, they forced Intel to drop their overpriced chips and actually innovate.

In our college last year ceremony, one of our accounts staff member said "its easy to do our own work, its difficult to get work done from others".
totally agree. We have 100% control of our own work, i.e. priority/dedication/schedule etc. But when it comes to drive others, things begin to diverge. You start to work with all kinds of cultures, values, priorities, personalities etc.
Try doing it all on your own helped by AI and robot
When Jensen says when he wakes up in the morning, he doesn't feel happy and accomplished, he says, he's always thinking worried and concerned.
Now I understand what he meant by this.
He also said his chips will be bought even if his competition is giving theirs away. amd has nothing for Nvidia. lisa su has taken 50M a year or so even with amd struggling and has struggled for over 2 years. Inspiration? I don't think so. Maybe to those that don't hold any shares?
she is like empress that take throne on dying dynasty and rise it up to the golden age

LIke Queen Elizabeth? haha
Lisa's leadership at AMD is truly inspiring, taking the company from the brink of bankruptcy to being a powerhouse in the semiconductor industry. Her strategic vision and dedication to innovation have reshaped AMD's trajectory, making it a force to be reckoned with. 💡
This is what happens when CEOs are engineers/scientists/programmers at helm of a tech company... unlike some businesses that have business graduates as their CEOs/Top Execs that know nothing about the business they are heading.
LOL yet they’re successful. Many CEO’s don’t even have a bachelors in the fields their companies are in yet they’re successful in leading conglomerates. Entrepreneurship is not a study. That’s why not everyone can be an entrepreneur. You can’t read yourself into it or give exams on it. Most engineers don’t run conglomerates.
I like how steve jobs who wasnt an engineer/scientist/programmer led apple 😂 not even a business graduate.

"You can teach business to engineer, but can't teach engineering to businessman"
@@Ashnesss From a man named Steve Griffin from reddit
What caused Hewlett Packard downfall?
Business people caused its downfall. I strongly believe that MBA graduates are not innovators by nature. They are qualified to run companies, not to project their visions for the future of technology onto the company and demand all get behind that vision!
Bill and Dave were great innovators, by contrast Mark Hurd was / is a great cost cutter. Business people should not run companies who's life blood comes from innovation. Founders are usually engineers by trade and have a vision. They do it for the vision not the money. Shareholder return is not the reason they run the company.
In HP you had so many empires and board member agendas that nobody could establish the true vision for HP. So, why not buy companies with 'vision'. Only thing was that the board was too incompetent to buy well and had practically zero appreciation for integrating companies. Plam, EDS, Autonomy are just a few. I think these companies alone resulted in $18 Billion of write offs.
I worked for HP for 3 years. I felt proud to join and glad to leave

My manager always asks me how I feel. As an introvert, I genuinely don't know how to answer that question. I see this as an irrelevant subject to address with my boss. I owe them my time and labour. My feelings, my business. I know she expects me to talk about my family, hobbies, etc but I think that's an unnecessary intrusion into my personal life.
I used to be in that situation and found it hard to share my thoughts, or shape my thoughts into words. Now I have a better idea. I think your manager is more of asking how you feel about your work, such as work load, tasks (interesting or not), interaction with coworkers, and the work situations etc, instead of personal stuff such as your families and hobbies, except if those impact your work.
After these two… all descendants have to be engineers
Very necessary video for our understanding of the world. Cheers to the long lost art of giving content creators recognition for important work. And, oh yes.... Thanks for the great video.🤟
A key manager can make all the difference! Instead of hiring money manager AMD hired an engineer and that did it!
WOW, thank you for this. I was blown away. I had no idea of the number of transistors they have in the MI300X. And what a dynamic women. I love how you give us News that makes us Think. Thank you.
Lisa didn't just change AMD, she changed the entire damn industry.
Boeing made a mistake in not selecting a CEO from an engineering background. On the other hand, Honda's choice to prioritize CEOs with engineering backgrounds has proven beneficial, as it aligns with their engineering-driven culture and values, leading to innovative and successful leadership.

She is a legend ❤
Her cousin is Nvidia founder and CEO 😮
Not cousin. Lisa's maternal grandfather is the elder brother of Jensen Huang's mother. Technically, Lisa is Jensen's niece. She has to address him as Uncle Jensen.

@@Hermit-CrabBut age wise they're not that far apart
I work at amd, it's a very very good place to work, the culture is amazing, supportive and uplifting, great work life balance and decent pay. I can say most companies only say these things and they've become a cliche but trust me amd lives upto these virtues. And that is why the company is doing great. There are a few issues as well, it's not a perfect place however, the issues are related to ecosystem development, the company does not pay much attention to software, that is where it is not able to unlock the full capabilities of it's hardware, amd hardware is actually superior to Nvidia and Intel where it lacks is the software to utilize the full extent of the hardware capabilities. Also with regards to people, most of thr times people here are more capable and competent then their skills ars put to use, you can't be unconventional here, it's a very conservative environment too. I wish the company a great future ahead.
Cool, what do you do at AMD?

" Investors may use the rear-view mirror to evaluate an investment's attractiveness by looking at recent performance, upward sloping price charts, past interest rate movements, and buying high and then selling low. However, investing based on past performance can lead to buying high and then selling low, which can be disappointing and detrimental to an investor's performance."
Its fascinating that both people who head the both of the biggest processing chip manufacturing companies are distantly related to one another
one of the greatest CEO ever
Wouldn't want to miss this next big thing in AI.
AMD the next king of AI.
The difference in a CEO that talks and delivers (Nvidia) and a CEO that just talks (amd) is about $3400 adjusted for a 4 for 1 split (Nvidia). When i think about lisa su and amd I think about the fellow a long time ago that kept messing with the gas lamp to drive his wife crazy. The term gaslighting comes to mind when i think about amd.
Respect
Lisa SU and Jensen HUANG are Taiwanese (formerly known as "Republic of CHINA") nationality but CHINESE ethnicity. Unlike the Indian CEOs in USA who basically inherited a well-known brand and well to do and established company from White men like Google's Sundar Pichai in year 2015 and Microsoft's Satya Nadella in year 2014, the CHINESE ethnicity people are more capable in transforming a small company from scratch to a big company. That is why there is no single Indian company in the top 10 position of the "Forbes Global 2000" ranking for the biggest companies of the entire world. India's Reliance Industries (managed by Mukesh Ambani) is only ranked 45th whereas 3 out of 10 companies in the top 10 positions are from China.😊
Nvidia and AMD are innovative technology companies. Boeing's decline is due to a non-engineer as CEO who has led a high-tech aviation company. We saw what we got.
I remember when bought a loptop in 2014, classmates asked me whats my processor. I said amd and they were silent. Unfamiliar i guess and expecting something like core i something.
Isn't the title wrong? Should this be AMD and not NVIDIA?
Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed too. Surprised nobody else commented on that.
She looks like the nvidia ceo in female
They are cousins.
They’re related but someone else said that’s his niece
BTW Nvidia Ceo Jenseng Huang is her cousin, that makes nvidia and amd kinda like a monopoly.
Nice
Lol, this is the first time I learned about what AMD means
The secret to AMD and Nvidia's success is that both companies use TSMC's advanced chips to beat their rivals.
This is an IQ of 160+ person CAN do for your company.
How did she do it?
She told others what to do who managed others that managed others who did actual work and got paid pennies
So, SHE did everything to build AMD?
Why does the title say NVIDIA instead of AMD?
Lisa Su and Jensen Huang both are cousins. Say, hi to your cousin!!

AMD needs to step up their GPU game.
Chinese CEOs at AMD and NVIDIA and Broadcom made the companies the semiconductor giants of today. Bigger than Qualcom and even Intel.
Theyre american but nice try
They’re Taiwanese-American, nothing to do with Chinese.
@@test-pn3ex They all have Chinese DNA, spoke Chinese as their first language, brought up by Chinese parents. And Hock Tan was not from Taiwan. And these are only well known here because they are companies in America. China has just as many giant companies, all run by Chinese folks. Like Tencent, BYD, Huawei, and many other giants that you all probably never heard off.
@@test-pn3ex but They’re Han Chinese
@@test-pn3ex Taiwanese is probably more Chinese than Chinese, given the Chinese Confucian culture was cut off at a certain time in the mainland China, but has been well preserved in Taiwan.
If it wasn't for Tesla AMD would be my favourite company. If Tesla didn't exist I would of invested in them. Don't regret it because Tesla has grown 5x since I bought their stock in 2020 while amd "Only" doubled. I would of invested in NVIDIA too. But long term I think Tesla stock will crush NVIDIA. Still NVIDIA has grown 10x since 2020.
Craziest thing is her and Jensen Huang are cousins
that is peak Asian parenting

she's like the woman version of Nvidia CEO
USA beholden to Chinese talents.😊
Nvidia has the male CEO version & AMD has the female AI generated version
Doesn't matter, Nvidia is eating their lunch. amd is finished as a premier company. Will pick up a few crumbs and that is it. 50 million a year and all she does is talk.
Her son teaching? How?

Ok why do we keep going to CPU and processing companies and acting like the CEOs changing the world. It’s economics the demand has increased exponentially since crypto and AI and only a handful of companies produce these pieces of technology. No offense to the CEOs but it’s coincidental.

Amazing to think how the Taiwanese have managed to dominate the chip manufacturing market,no wonder China is so keen to annex Taiwan!😅
I'm running an AMD machine, but the one thing I keep missing out on is the ability to run the latest generative AI models. Nobody cares about AMD in this space enough to write software that runs on it, AFAIK.
Shouldn’t she be Jensen’s niece?
The proper term is "Cousin once removed" so they're technically not niece and uncle, but I like to informally think of it as "cousin-uncle/aunt" and "cousin-niece/nephew".

Cool story but I only use Intel.
I respect Lisa Su very much and consider her as an amazing CEO but you give her WAY too much credit. They focused on CPUs and led the graphics card part basically die. They were very competitive in graphics card and were lacking in CPU performance.
There were 2 graphics card manufacturers, nvidia and amd. Nvidia 2014 was worth also only 10 billion...
I agree that too much credit is given to Su. The discrete gpu business is dying at a fast rate. Amd still has competitive advantage on apu
