After cussing in the mirror for an hour, I finally got it. Thanks for the video, now I'm going to leave this tie tied so I never have to do this again.
Never leave the tie tied... it will ruin the tie
@@dan-ob7zh worth it
@@hoads123 what?
Better to keep practicing rather than letting it tied
@@strumf6 yeah, exactly
From New Jersey in the United States..OMG..It took a couple of attempts, but your mirrored video was the miracle I needed. Thank you.
4th knot tying video I've watched, first one in which I was successful!! Many thanks from Tusayan, Arizona!
Great video - very precise and easy to remember. I got the knot in first couple of attempts (wasn’t getting a good triangular shape of knot in first attempt).
I managed to somehow catch it on fire..
Totally normal! Just keep going!
Thats so funny
@@ReefKnotsUK I managed to garrote myself...to death...thanks

Never worn a tie, never tied one for someone else. Never thought I’d need to learn to tie one but it’s now part of my child’s school uniform. This video was awesome and after trying it twice I can now tie one. I also taught them how to tie one. Thank you so much- you’ve saved us both hours of frustration.
Glad I could help!
Somerset. I've been tying a full Windsor since I was 11 (I'm 72 now!) and kept running out of tie length, I had never heard of a half Windsor until I saw your video, now I can use almost any tie length, thank you very much, I have a wedding to go to next month and can't wait to show this off!
After cursing at multiple videos I played this one, slowed it down, and got it! Thanks from New York!
You are welcome! Glad it helped!
Tying this knot from the courtroom. Thanks to you I was just found innocent for a horrible crime that I totally committed! Thanks!
Knot guilty! (Now that’s a good pun!) 👊👔
@@ReefKnotsUK THAT was amazing lol. *dying* from laughter.
Ben's Boring Videos did some research and apparently this got incarcerated for life for triple murder
I'm all set for the wedding now, lol.

My son is in Jr. ROTC here in Tallahassee Florida and it's midnight and I'd want to thank you for showing me how to tie this dang ol Whindsor knot. Xoxox
This video is very helpful down here in Wellington New Zealand. Thank you Patrick very much for your confidence. This is my second year at a boarding school which is very strict about looking smart with our dress code. Menswear like our Blazers, dress pants, white dress shirt, ties, polished black leather shoes and even haircuts. I have finally learnt how to do a tie with you. People in New Zealand are quick learners! Thank you very much.
Glad I could help! I was at boarding for school at 7 years old. I know the feeling!
Montgomery Alabama checking in. I have learned how to tie all different types of styles from your videos. THANKS 🙏🏾
I always forget how to do this and have trouble finding a good video to help me. Well this one did and I'll be sure to keep it in my favorites for future reference. Thank you.
👊
Seen in traverse City Michigan thank you for such an easy to follow video as my job requires me to wear a tie now following my promotion this was the simplest guide to follow didn't even need to use a mirror just quick simple direction
I check this video out every few months to get it right, since I don’t wear a tie more than 5x a year. Perfect every time! Especially on St. Patty’s Day 🧙♀️
Paddy's Day
It worked. Los Angeles. My dad never tied a tie or knew how to do this. Thank you.
Who else got super frustrated, threw their tie on the ground, started crying and will never tie a tie again even though it's part of their school dress code? Just me? Orightyyyyyyy
Nah, I am the same. I have been attempting this for...uh...2 hours? Still no dice. I don't get it how they get the triangular shape of the knot... Mine comes out all topsy-turvy and stuff.
Tie being tied before my nephew's wedding on Ocracke Island, North Carolina, U.S. THANK YOU for the video.
Great! Hope it was a good day!
thanks after 50 years you would think i would know how to tie one!!!
Haha, I have tied about 10.000 of these, and the half Winsor is quite simply the only real knot for a true gentleman. Perfectly symmetric and the perfect size. I usually use the "down the lake" and "up the lake" expressions, but everything's easy when you've done it literally thousands of times.
Well said!
Best tie tutorial ever :) Did it in 1 go with your instructions!
For several years now I've watched a great many vids on how to tie a tie so that I can fix my boyfriend's. I've found my favorite here. Thanks.
I love this video but am late for school 😂😂
Don’t panic. I called the school and they said it’s fine to stay home and watch RUclips. I thoroughly recommend my vlog!

Oklahoma City, OK 70 years old new church member. THANK YOU!!!
OMG!! Thank you so much!!! As a sophisticated female who likes to wear ties from time to tome, this is the only video that was super simple for me to follow along!! My dad taught me when I was little, but I haven’t worn one in years! Thank you again!
My job requires me to wear a tie everyday. Given various widths of ties I own, it helps to know a few knots. And like you, my favorite is the Half Windsor. Thank you and wish you the best. Seoul, South Korea.
Thank you and God bless you. India ......................

WOW…. Got it on the first try Thank You… The mirror made it very easy, this video is a keeper. My father never took the time to teach me, so I self taught myself to hand tie without it being around my neck. Did the job but wasn’t the best knot in the crowd. 52 year old from San Diego California. (No I can start a tie collection) 😊
Glad it helped!
Watched. Learned. Forgot. Then I dig into my RUclips watching history for the last 12 months only to find this video. Thank you!
The gift that keeps on giving.
Everytime I need to tie a tie I forget how and have to watch a bunch of videos and it always ends up looking sloppy. This is the first time I've watched your video and after redoing it over and over to get the length right I think I've finally gotten it down! It was 2nd nature after a while and it looks clean as could be. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for your detailed careful steps of demonstrating using"Mirroring" ,I am sending your video to a friend in Taiwan, hopefully he manages to learn successfully.
Best out of all the how to tie a half windsor knot! It really makes a difference that he's from where the house of Windsor is from! I may be American but I'm a royalist at heart. I'm in Northern California.
