  • How to a tie a tie in the half Windsor knot with our super easy (and mirrored) tutorial.
This video is filmed in a mirror to make it super easy to copy. Just tilt your phone and place it next to a mirror, and then copy the clear instructions. You should be able to tie-a-tie in no time!
The half Windsor tie knot is a versatile and practical tie knot for all occasions. Smaller than the bulkier full Windsor knot and slightly more full than the popular four-in-hand knot.

This video was awesome and after trying it twice I can now tie one. I also taught them how to tie one. Thank you so much- you’ve saved us both hours of frustration.

This is my second year at a boarding school which is very strict about looking smart with our dress code. Haha, I have tied about 10.000 of these, and the half Winsor is quite simply the only real knot for a true gentleman. Perfectly symmetric and the perfect size. I usually use the "down the lake" and "up the lake" expressions, but everything's easy when you've done it literally thousands of times.

Totally managed it. Had to do it twice to length right, but thats fine by me. The mirror really helps, because I have difficulty reversing everything in my head. Commenting from Austin TX. Thank you.

You’re so unapologetically English with your accent. I love it! 😍
