I will just add one thing that Al Haitham is great at is AOE and single target. Obviously doesn’t work with grouper like kazuha very well but has good innate AOE but being able to do both definitely separates him from other DPS and increases his value over regular hyperbloom noticably
Next time put it in the video because it is a significant part of a character's power level and regular hyperbloom is significantly worse in aoe content and also alhaitham is very flexible in rotation which is great for multi wave of enemies like we are getting in recent spiral abyss
Thanks for the video! You didn't mention my favorite Alhaitham team: Alhaitham, Kuki, Yelan, Xingqiu! I know that a second dendro character can be better for the 4th slot instead of one of the hydros, but I just love the double hydro core and the ton of energy it generates. I was able to use Alhaitham's burst almost every rotation with about 140 ER. I prefer this team not just because it lets me utilize my ER rolls in Alhaitham's artifacts and lets both hydro units get enough ER to comfortably burst every rotation, but also because I don't have to reapply Nahida's E to each enemy wave. And the resistance to interruption is nice. And the hydro resonance (Yelan deals more damage, Kuki heals more, everyone is more tanky) is nice. And I also feel like (it's probably not true) that if I'm using Xingqiu instead of Nahida, I deal more single target damage, and the teams damage is primarily single target anyway, so in multitarget content it may be better to kill one enemy faster than split the damage between the two/three because then you increase the speed of killing the enemy and get to switch to the next enemy faster.
IMO another benefit of Alhaitham is his teambuilding, which is very orthogonal currently to a lot of other meta characters' best teams thanks to Furina. He doesn't want Bennett or Kazuha, and not having Furina over XQ/Yelan is a much smaller DPS difference compared to other teams like Neuvillette or Xiao. Basically you can run Alhaitham/Nahida/XQ/Kuki with very strong results and then you are free to use Furina, Bennett, Kazuha, etc., on your other teams like Neuv, Arle, Hu Tao, Xiao, etc.,

Wuthering Waves is soo much better than Genshin Impact and here are the reasons: 1. Graphics - WW graphics are 10 times better than Potato Impact which is huge for a serious PC gamer like myself. 2. Combat System - WW combat system is also way better(heaps more fun imo) - obviously massive plus. 3. Artifacts - WW have root based artifacts meaning you can farm much as you want, unlike Genshit Impact's super limited resin plus 99% crap artifacts combo. - On top of that it's million times easier to get gg or perfect artifacts, so many people already have several perfect or near artifacts in WW. - So its day and night compared to game like Genshin.. 4. Wishes - WW wish system is super generous compared to Genshin, so many people got 5 stars within 2-3x 10 wishes. - WW developers already gave everyone one FREE 5 star hero, you know samething Genshin did for 3rd anniversary.. cough - WW doesn't have total scam weapon wish like Genshin.. you get the 5 star weapon you select within 80 pulls(usually much quicker). - Have fun getting Furina weapon by getting another two totally useless 5 star weapon first) Honestly way I see it Genshin died on the release day of WW, personally I've spent tons of $$$ in Genshin but I will NOT be spending another cent on that total rip-off game graphics made for old Nokia phones.
Yea, as much as I see the problem, I don't know why it's always dendro related teams or characters like Nilou,Nahida etc that get the sticker for constricted team building. The same people would be running the same XQ/Bennett/Hutao/XL/Yelan/Childe vape archetype for years but if another team even has 2 staple units, people complain like it's a new unique issue.

Tighnari usually prefers Yae Miko instead of Kuki, because he's not that close to the enemies as Alhaitham. Additionally, Tighnari's charged shots don't trigger Xingqiu's rain swords or Yelan's burst. So Tighnari and Alhaitham aren't exchangeable within the same team.
It's this precise reason that I switched out my Thoma for Dehya on my Tighnari/Yae hyperburgeon team. She's more quick swappy and doesn't need the normal attack to trigger her effects.

@@ChunderThunder1 Big L for Mihoyo on that. Me with 160ms ping can only occasionally perform this Kuki-Alhaitham swap. Also dodges were always clunky with such ping. And don't forget one particular artifact set being useless on >100ms ping.
People have to consider that if Lvl.100 is a reality, Dendro would benefit a lot. So just take that in mind. And in the Theatre you can use multiple DPS of the same element in other rotations.
I'm more curious abt the 5.0 leak i saw being correct or not. Lets just say if its true dendro is getting an indirect buff. Though it's mainly focused on pyro and geo
whaled hard on his first banner and went for c6 r5 with zero regrets. definitely one of my favourite playstyles too he feels so clean to play even on 300 ping
0_0 Bro i "whaled" for c2 r1 wanderer (alrdy had c0) this patch and lost the weapon banner but got a win and an early for c1-2 so i lucked out. Idk how you c6 r5 people do it. My wallet cries.
Alhaitham/furina/baizhu/kuki is peak comfort team and the extra fan fare and small spread damage increase make up a fair bit for the loss of nahida and you have so much healing and baizhu resistance to interruption (in the form of his paper thin shields) that you never really feel threatened unless you’re face tanking some really nasty enemies, imo alhaitham feels a lot better with interruption resistance so any team where you can run beidou xingu or baizhu can make things a lot more comfortable
@@ionized_salmon6417 Yeah I would rather swap kuki for raiden for the longer rotations if using baizhu/furina, but honestly I have mostly found nahida/xq/al/kuki the comfiest al team since he can facetank almost everything in this setup and xq's swords can keep kuki/nahida alive if they get hit when swapping. For this current boss event I have been running this team since most other teams without xq are getting oneshot if I miss a dodge.
@@ionized_salmon6417baizhu gives interrupt resist and healing (fanfare). If anything, kuki is a bit redundant and fischl would be better if available.
Baizhu interrupt resist shield is actually quite good to prevent you from getting knocked around, the heal is also very high, can replace kuki with raiden or fischl for battery
I think the problem with dendro isn't necessary caused by nahida, but with archons in general. It seems like hoyo want to make archons the strongest on what they do and very hesitant to powercreep them. This is impacted differently on every element. Anemo : the only element that the archon is powercreep by other. Most likely we will never get a better grouper than kazuha because it will powercreep venti again. Geo : to this day there's no better shielder than zhongli. This is one of the reason why shielder is generally weaker than healer, they don't want to powerceeep zhongli. Electro : it's very clear that hoyo is very cautious to make a better electro DPS than Raiden. Clorinde is toned down to aggravate DPS which raiden isn't to begin with. And most likely that they will never make a dedicated hyperbloom trigger because it will powercreep her and kuki. Dendro : Nahida is the first limited 5* dendro, but they don't want future unit to powercreep her. So they raised the bar so high so that they can fill the gap with future unit. This is why other dendro feels worthless now. Hydro : this is the perfect scenario. Furina is so strong but genshin is full of strong hydro unit within 3 years so she isn't as mandatory. I believe the future archons shouldn't have this problem too. Sorry for the rant. I wonder what's your thoughts about how archons affected the game (positive and negative). I love your rundown! Don’t apologize! You’re spot-on and I get that they don’t want to power creep the archons for lore reasons as well as making sure their value remains relevant. I wish they hadn’t locked themselves in for this bc it really limits the value of newer units in the game. I think they had learned their lessons and applied it to Fontaine/Furina. However, I’m disappointed that they don’t push the envelope more. One idea that I do love was from Jello and speculation of what’s to come. If they added a level 100 ascension and that ascension allowed a brand new passive for each character, it could give Hoyo a chance to correct some of these things. A way for them to allow some power creep to the archons but then give the archons something fresh that allows them to maintain value. Idk. I just really love that idea too bc we could fix older units like Yoimiya and others. Sigh… likely won’t happen but I can dream
I have to disagree with you re Venti. Up till now, he is still the best grouper. What his kit lacks is other buffs. But if we look at grouping ability, Venti is still the best. If we require more utility other than grouping, then Kazuha is the one. C0 Raiden is more of an universal battery than a dps and no one does a better job than she. If you want dps Raiden, go for C2. C0 Furina at most is a sub-dps with her seafood. She is currently the best buffer.
Per some other comments, I think we've reached a point where the Archons are still good but they're starting to get pigeon-holed into hyper-specific "best of" roles and even then have other pros and cons that need to be considered (e.g. Furina's HP drain). With that in mind, I don't see why they can't introduce another good Dendro applicator. Nahida is great because she's application + AoE damage + buffing, so there shouldn't be an issue with divvying those roles up while leaving Nahida to be the great all-round package. For instance, they could easily introduce a 5-star that applies Dendro consistently from a close-range aura. This would offer amazing synergy with Alhaitham since he's melee, or even Hyperbloom using Kuki. They could offload the Dendro application to a "pet" like Furina's or a better construct similar than Traveler's burst or even an "on-hit" mechanic like Yelan/XQ. Regardless of what form it takes, my point is simply that Nahida is such a great all-round package that it would be really difficult for them to fully powercreep her.
@@magiclover9346 i wonder if it's due to the ER for Baizhu or his low dendro app. cause usually i put kuki on a full stacked em deepwood set for this issue and Baizhu sticks to instructors or 2pc EoSF+2pc HP or double HP sets(if they have enough er.). I don't think it's a big deal since the transformative reaction damage change is minimal and there's instructors and dendro res to help her reach 1000 em.
Same I honestly hate using nahida with Alhaitham cause honestly the rotation feels very annoying with always reapplying her skill.. ANDi don't like kuki as well sooo my team is a baizhu furina raiden team and it's still veeeeeeerry strong and it feels sososo comfortable
Alhaitham is a strong dps with or without Nahida. He is fun and pretty easy to build. His design is also great. He has a ton of value and has proven his worth over time. Still the 3rd best dps in the game…
like if anything i think Al is more tied to shinobu than Nahida. Nahida is good though if you wanna see those green numbers pop off, one of my favorite teams for Al is Al/Shinobu/Baizhu or Yaoyao/Any Hydro can work XQ is the best 4 star option but like even frickin Barbara can work well. for this team I usually ran a full EM Deepwood Kuki since i find Baizhu(C0) and Yaoyao to be unreliable deepwood holders at times due to RNG or Low dendro application and i don't mind it since Transformative reaction damage between sets are pretty minimal. Sometimes i still run it even with Nahida(holding GD or GT) since in some cases she causes occasional spreads and those spreads also pop off hard.
@@usmanya5110 I used to run kuki on deepwood too! I pulled Al early game for me and got kuki on standard, and suddenly overworld became easy. Until I got nahida I couldn't find a better deepwood holder than kuki either - kirara had to be c4. Now I have Nahida/Baizhu kuki is Gilded, but good to know I wasn't the only one. I think al can work without kuki (either raiden, or in aggr Yae/fischl) but he becomes much less of a tanky support without kuki. In baiz/furina/al/raiden team I will die more often with more aggressive enemies since I'm so used to facetanking hits with kuki's healing.
Without Nahida Alhaitham is not a DPS but a semi dps semi driver because you NEED that high dendro to maintain quicken with an hydro unit on the team or else, you won't have any spread and mostly deal raw damages and hyperbloom damages

Alhaitham was my first ever 5* DPS back when I first started the game late 3.6 (lucked out and pulled him early during 3.7), and he's saved my but in story progression by far, and as someone who really loves the Dendro element, it has been great with no regrets at all. (Yes, Nahida is great and one of my favorite characters - along with Neuvillette, but I pulled Nahida MUCH later since I missed her last rerun and couldn't get her until Fontaine, so he was perfectly fine even before Nahida.)
It makes me sad that Nahida carries all Dendro reaction teams on her back, because there are so many Dendro and Electro characters I would love to have and build but I only have one Nahida.
For sure. You either have Nahida or Baizhu, but c2 Nahida is just a million times better than Baizhu. Edit: I blame Mihoyo for giving Collei/Yaoyao that weird ICD.

Nahida is not necessary. Also, jello seems like a waifu simp. The amount of "don't pull from Alhaitham" I heard in his video. He's definitely trying to discourage you. That's how waifu simps have always been all the way back to Albedos debut banner. I remember how Ganyu simps were literally telling me not to pull for Albedo. I pulled for Albedo though and skipped Ganyu.

Dont let his lies fool you. If you're gonna use a dendro spread alhaitham dps team with only one electro character, you need baizhu in there. With that, you can use any electro offield dps. So raiden, fishcl, or yae miko will be the best options

With the new endgame incentifies you to have boarder roster in your account, I think it make his pull value go up a bit. Still, if I would recommend newer player to go for 5* Dendro characters, he would be in the 3rd after Nahida and Baizhu bc - Nahida literally carries the whole element. - Baizhu offers 2 types of defensive utilities and can synergize very well with Furina that I think he has more pull value than Nahida is some situations.
I agree with Jello's advice at the end: Don't just get a character because they're good. Because Ganyu and Tighnari taught me I don't like charged bow shot characters, I skipped Lyney - who is great for damage, but whose playstyle I don't enjoy (so I skip). Similarly, Hu Tao is one of the top pyro DPSs in the game and I got her because she was great... but I never got used to her style. Arlecchino plays the way I wish Hu Tao played, and I regret Hu Tao not because she's bad, but because I don't like her and I will always choose Arlecchino for a situation where I would have considered Hu Tao. I have other examples, but I wanted to highlight two META characters that I either skipped or regretted. Don't go making my mistakes. :P
Bro, my alhaitham only has like 140 CD , and he is doing way more damage in the same setup as you played. Now, I truly think an hybrid build is better . A mix of everything ✨️
Alhaitham was the first limited 5 star I ever pulled and he has carried me through most of the game. I'm f2p, I have him on R4 Iron Sting, full Gilded, triple crowned, and I play him with Xingqiu, Kuki, and Nahida. They're my best team by far. (STILL CAN'T FKIN 36* ABYSS THOUGH)
As someone who doesn't like Nahida's design at all it really feels like it locks off a whole element. Like I'd just rather play characters that I like than power teams, but Dendro (and most Electro) just feels sad without her.
He is the reason why I can get all platinum plats in the Specially-shaped Saurian Search event, Without him, I don't think I can do it without him eventhough i have the others invested "top dps"
I don't have him, nor do I plan on going for him, but updated guides are always great! I love when we get to reflect a bit on how the characters have changed with the ever expanding roster ad developing meta
Good vid overall. The only thing i would disagree with is that saying units like hutao and especially raiden is close to his performance. Hutao is only comparable to him in ST and Raiden is honestly very mediocre by current dps standards.
Raiden is only a burst DPS and battery she's not an on field DPS so you are wrong, give her the signature weapon and her C2 and she obliterates everything she clean up the screen and leaves the field while recharging everyone abilities in the process
@@KamiKaXi But then you are comparing unequal investment. Raiden at C2 R1 is 3 5 star pulls, and currently there are many characters like Neuv, Arlecchino, even Lyney who can achieve better results at the same investment level, or similar results with less pulls.

I love alhaitham! Hes great at c0 and has a f2p weapon option which makes me always recommend him to people looking for a low investment option! I run him with xq (c6), kuki (c6) and yaoyao (c2) on 4pc guilded set and enemies already melt like butter, slotting in nahida must be a ton of fun! I really love what dendro did for elemental reactions and hope genshin keeps up with other elemental reactions for the future 👍
My favorite Alhaitham team is Alhaitham, Baizhu, Xinqui and Kuki. I've got a lot of skill issue and this team is essentially immortal, and Alhaitham + a well build Xinqiu with the hyperblooms from Kuki does more than enough damage.
@@richardm8155 You could, and it'll probably do the same amount of damage, but it won't be as comfy. Kuki heals, and Baizhu provides shields for interruption resistance. Damage wise though it's probably the same.

Alha is a beast at c0r1. I'd rather get him than go hyperbloom with nahida onfield and double hydro. Also for pure agg/spread w/kuki nahi baizou; in close combat it's bonkers. Alha clears abyss rooms in 3 seconds ^^ It's not an easy skip tbh
Before getting Nahida, I was running dendro MC in her position with Alhaitham and Kuki, and it felt really strong. Also for 4 star (+ MC) challenges I run Kuki, Xingqui and dendro MC + a flex slot, and again this feels really strong. So Nahida may be the damage ceiling but hyperbloom rules even without her...
I will say that I agree with most of Jello’s eval but for me Alhaitham is also one of the more fun characters to play and that pushes him up a tier for me.
I pulled alhaitham on his last rerun and still enjoy playing him and probably never stop enjoying his playstyle I got lucky when I pulled his weapon, I've gotten 3 40CV dendro goblets since I've pulled him with one of them being perfect substats Double Crit ER, EM I got just the other day My alhaitham build has 250 CV which is a lot granted the build I got on Is a 2pc/2pc combo with one of them being leftover wanderer's troupe pieces I don't use on anyone else atm I just want to mention if you don't have nahida its ok if you still want alhaitham I own nahida and I choose to not play her with alhaitham and I still get good clears I play *Alhaitham, Furina, Kuki, Baizhu they are all C0* Funnily enough I've played this team replacing baizhu with Proto Amber nahida and even tho it was good but for my alhaitham team I didn't see that much improvement except in certain scenarios because outside of nahida's DMG her buff to my alhaitham felt less impactful due to how good my alhaitham build is to a point that I would have to put more DMG artifacts on nahida to see a bigger difference
my hyperbloom teams still can't clear their half in 1 min 30s so it is kinda hard to believe that hyperbloom is really that wow insane op how important is the damage from non-hb sources within that team? (ie xingiu's rain swords from burst) for context i run nahida ei xingqiu barbara and ei gets around 1k em w nahida ult is it an artifact gap at this point?
by running barbara + raiden you're essentially losing a team slot here, which is VERY impactful on your damage. That's why kuki is so powerful for hyperbloom, she allows you to run nahida + two offensive characters. So you either have to switch to kuki from raiden, or go try hard and do xingqiu as your only defensive option. And definitely xingqiu + (yelan, fischl, furina, etc) are impactful to your overall DPS.
@@JelloImpact This! I use Raiden as trigger fairly often but she only feels good with on field kokomi's good damage + healing. You really want 3 characters that bring at least some decent damage + the trigger.
Do note that Nahida's burst doesn't work for off field characters so most of the time if you are bursting with her on the standard hyperbloom teams it's only for her on field duties while the other characters do their stuff off field, so Raiden doesn't get buffed by her burst, everything that jello said above is correct but also note that in pure hyperbloom triggering capabilities Raiden is better by a small margin but she doesn't provide healing and is useless against shields (I run nahida XQ kuki fischl and it works great for me but my fischl and xq builds are definitely lacking)
That’s the problem with hyperbloom it’s consistent but it’s not an always go to options in abyss. People cope by saying just use hyperbloom and you be fine but there’s so much more than that goes into it. I’ll give you my teams example I can clear the current abyss with Team navia, xiangling, Bennett, zhongli. Team xiao, faruzan, xianyun, zhongli or furina. Team knave, mono pyro with zhongli or kazuha and yelan zhongli. Team wanderer, faruzan, Bennett,zhongli. Team hu tao basic comp. Then team nevi with a pyro with like xiangling. Team raiden national or hyper. See how just hyperbloom fall off here with these example. Not including team rotation and positioning of the mobs. Having a team wide of variation equal more clears and comfort instead of the just one comp that people hype it to be broken that u need nothing else when it’s not true. But what am I to say I guess -_-.
I don’t thinks it’s an artifact gap more like a team choices but as the saying goes for a lot of the causal player play what you like if you can clear good. If not probably rethink what went wrong and how can you do better. If it’s artifacts then refarm again. If that’s not it pick characters that you will benefit more off of.
Got him a while back and didn’t regret it. That’s despite me having c2 Nahida and c3 Tighnari. He still holds his own in many teams even at c0r0 (mine uses Xiphos’ which is almost as drippy as PJC). But power wise, pulling two extra Nahida’s was definitely more than twice the value. Thankfully he’s relatively cheap in the sense you just need him, once, and you’re set. I mean you don’t *need* Nahida cons but c2 is hella tempting. I’ve decided the only characters I’m actively going to hunt cons for are archon level supports/hybrids with the massive flexibility they have. Next target is C2R1 Furina (C1R0 atm).
Question: Can Dendro get any better than it already is? Without massive power creep that is? Only improvement I can see is a 5* Kuki and that's about it?
Remember Neuvillete and Hydro traveler got the same Kit Dendro can improve in 1 way: a New DPS stronger than Alhaitham lol Or else Raiden shogun is 30% better than Kuki in hyperbloom
dendro has already shown sign of falling off, electro dps(s) tend to have lower numbers and alhaitham being the only dendro dps not having any cons has really hurt dendro teams' dps. you can maybe get a new kuki that heals more but the realistic option is alhaitham 2.0 with good cons
I feel like to make Dendro more versatile outside of bloom variants they need a "Cheveruse" for quicken IE Somone who could buff Tignhari or Al Hathim teams built around straight up attacking. (Even more specifically, a dendro off field one so they can use deepwood to replace Nahida's slot)
I wouldnt say Alhaitham Kuki Xingqiu Nahida is a "premium" team. Two 4 stars that dont need constellations (okay maybe kuki needs c2), the 5 star dps, and a universally good buffer is rather budget for a team.
he came at such a bad time. alhaitham furina and childe were the 3 characters I was planing on saving for. but with furina coming right after him I'm probably gonna have to wait another year to bring him home 😭
i have both him and nahida but personally i play alhaitham without her but rather with baizhu for shields and better sustain. but even as solo dendro he's totally fine. pretty strong dps overall, fun gameplay, good for hyperbloom, aggravate, nilou blooms

I think it's going to be close to impossible to make a dendro team that functions better without Nahida or have a dendro character that's a VERY close alternative. It may be possible with c0 nahida for the f2p though
my thoughts on Al -as a 1st Dendro pull he's pretty banger and that's what i'm planning to do on my 2nd account. obviously Nahida is better and higher value but Alhaitham is still very strong unit even without her. though if you have nahida his value can somewhat drop or increase depending on your situation since she herself is stupidly busted, she's nuts. before i barely used them together because nahida is so busted that i think it would feel too much if i use both on one side, and that my international team wasn't built yet. i started using them both together now after i finished building it. -i wouldn't pull him if i didn't have Shinobu any off field electro can work but to me she feels like Alhaitham's tool to function really well. ngl one of the funniest teams i played is running Al with three healers and for some reason it slaps. Barbara in instructors, Yaoyao/Baizhu on SoDP and Kuki on Deepwood. i run Kuki on deepwood nearly everytime with Al usually even with or without nahida. so i don't have worry about Baizhu's low off field application and Yaoyao's RNG and Short range, and the damage between transformative reactions isn't really that big, when i'm with nahida it makes run an offensive set and sometimes she does occasionally cause some spreads. for Deepwood Shinobu the way to build her would be full em and stack her with as much EM and hp substats as much as possible and dendro res and i'm able to reach 1k em. edit:i forgot about how he is good in ST and while also doing good in AoE. and how his rotations are pretty flexible, like you can do Q first and save the E or vice versa. or the Q,E plunge combo for bosses.
I tend to play Alhaitham/Yae/Nahida/Baizhu. Baizhu just gives so much sustain and buffs alhaithams damage up incredibly well. But yeah, I forgot he might have more value in proccing more aggrevates damage wise. Not having that 2nd electro hurts his damage. But damn so squishy then.
Uhm no the team is fine. You don’t need "more" electro to trigger more reactions. For spread you only need quicken aura which lasts quite a long time. Yae as an electro is more than enough here
I almost had this Dendro problem with Cyno, but Baizhu deals with it. In a team with Furina, Baizhu, Nahida and Cyno, if I need to change a unit for another Electro, I switch it in Nahida's place, 'cause Baizhu aplication is more relevant for Cyno.
The reason i'll never get nahida is the fact that she's so awkward and clunky to work with Cyno, which is so fucking ironic cause she works well with haitham and Nari. Honestly dendro will be saved if they just stop releasing onfield hyper-carry characters, WE NEED A DENDRO XINGQIU (without having icd restrictions and poorly timed per tick applications ex. Dehya skill, Candace burst, Thoma burst, Baizhu ult) or even a dendro crowd control, they have plants! Use that vines to trap enemies for fucks sake. Kaveh should have been an off field dendro support not a fucking bloom driver, they nerfed the hell down baizhu's dendro application and shielding capabilities just so they can have an excuse for a poorly made separate dendro shielder (kirara). And yes i do agree that the problem with dendro is the team composition, the team i use with Haitham is literally just the same i use with Nari and Cyno. The game team devs are getting lazy of thinking of a new, innovative and unique skill set, their just re-using the old ones of different characters.
@@lolidemon3163 Kirara is one of the poorly designed character in genshin. It's not her fault, its the devs who doesn't care about her. The only thing kirara has is her shield, poor dendro application, on-field driver, no party wide buff or any benefit to any of her team. While yes, you can use her in any dendro team, but in a bloom/hyperbloom/burning teams who would want a shielder than a healer? Having both a shielder and a healer is too redundant, even now with the new mechanic bond of life, you'd always prefer a healer, Yaoyao completely beats her with buffs she can give in a dendro team, Sayu is literally her anemo origin. Even at C6, if you want a shielder then just use Diona (that can give +200 EM, +atk spd) or even layla. She has too much competion and she lacks too much even for a 4star.
@aintailstweentales7964 eh her dendro app isn't as bad as ur implying. And in burgeon teams ur more likely to run a shielder than a healer. And bol is extremely niche and under utilized and is generally not really advisable to use. Kirara also has one of the best shields (wanna say 3rd best, though possibly 2nd) in the game and is better than layla bc cryo isn't really that good of an element. U do realize kirara buffs elemental dmg right for the entire team. Yaoyao really just heals. Other than dendro app/healing yaoyao doesn't do anything else. Ur definitely underestimating kirara all things considered. Hyperbloom ur not really running diona or layla. Yaoyao is a maybe but ur not running her bc kuki/xing. Burgeon, kirara is definitely better than yaoyao. Bloom, 3 slots bc u need nilou. So xing/yelan for the hydro spot, and for dendro u can comfortably do kirara+dmc and do really well. Yaoyao if ur running yelan, kirara elsewise.
I use Baizhu instead of Nahida and though He does not buff as much as her, Haitham deals a lot of damage on his own honestly and the decrease in dendro res just helps him even more
It's always funny to my, how the testers were all mocking his kit before his first run. "Dendro Keqing ololol", everyone was like, "he's not worth getting". I got him as soon as the banner was available, because I liked his character and my first impression was, "what are they talking about? He's awesome!". And a few days later more and more people went, "what are they talking about? He's awesome!". And even the "Dendro Keqing" bunch got more and more silent. Moral of the story: Don't trust testers or leaks. Get your own impression in the character trial once the banner goes live and if playing the character feels good to you then go get them.
I really want a pretty tall female model dendro sub-dps. Right now I feel like Nahida just does it all, I would love to see a Dendro off-fielder that specializes in burn or quicken so that Nahida specializes in bloom instead of specializing in everything. I used to think that at least Aggravate didn’t want her, but now with Clorinde not even Aggravate is safe from the cabbage child.
if you read the passive it sounds like garbage. Its high base atk isn't well utilized on alhaitham, and it only gives 64 CV. The vertical investment priority for alhaitham is c2 nahida -> c2 furina -> alhaitham. If it's between this or saving for c2 nahida, i would skip this tbh. If you can't raise 200 pulls by the end of the weapon banner it is always an instant skip
14:00 sharing my experience: ayato was my first 5 star pull and as such i did build him to my best effort (lvl 90, skill crowned, all lvl 20 artifact set) i picked hyperbloom as his main team with nahida, xingqiu, kuki as the support (also built them well) then after playing the game i liked alhaitham himself (from the story and from the fandom) so now that i got him, my dismay after knowing that ill just basically gonna replace ayato with alhaitham in a team is kinda icky. my other characters are not that built yet (only playing for less than a year) so im just stuck here not knowing what team i should put either one of the two
my option are vaporize for ayato or spread for alhaitham my second team is overload yae, xiangling, bennet, chev but if I pick spread i have to get yae a new artifact set, the guilded dreams, same as alhaitham so that's not fun and i tested vaporize ayato w bennet xiangling and it's not that good lmaoooo
Was patiently waiting for alhaithem until tighnari showed up on a 50/50 loss, and he’s been filling the dendro dps role so well I’m now debating on if alhaithem is even worth it
I do like Al Haitham but im going skip for Furina. I would only wish on his banner for 4 stars and i wouldnt be too mad if i got him i just have too many dps characters.
Why is it a problem that every dendro team wants Nahida but it’s never a problem to stuff Bennett, mostly with XL too, in almost every team in existence, saying that he is mandatory Or using Furina in virtually every team that can afford a team wide healer as the best buffer...hell people use Bennett even in her teams even tho he sucks for her Fanfares and healing the whole team Or using Kazuha as THE anemo character every time anemo is used Yet it’s always Nahida who gets the flack for being a great dendro character I really don’t get it
Nahida c2 is actually 2 parts: 1)bloom/hyperbloom/burgeon has 25% chance to crit; 2)quicken/aggravate/spread causes a 30def shred (not restricted to dendro dmg); I've found Itto/Zhongli/Fischl/Nahida comp to be stronger than Itto/Zhongli/Gorou/[fill]. Don't bother with Itto though (he's too weak), I have him c4 with redhorn, and can't plat any of the current saurian event bosses with him (regisvine/geovishap/chicken/seahorse). In fact, I can't plat with Hutao, Yoimiya, Eula, or Yelan either, and I've resorted to scuffed teams to get plat (used food, 5star weapons, and Nahida c2). //teams: 1)Furina/Kuki/Nahida/Xingqiu - regisvine; 2)Fischl/Zhongli/DMC(edit)/Nahida - geovishap; (would be better with Al Haitham) 3)Lisa(fav)/Xingqiu(mistsplitter)/Fischl/Nahida - chicken; (would be better with Yae Miko) 4)???
Alhaitham's a skip for me - Apart from the fact that i just don't like him (I think he is an absolute migraine as a character, he got on my nerves all the time during the story), it's like you said: I have Nahida, which makes him an easy skip. I simply don't need him as much as i need Furina for example. My Dendo teams kick butts already without Alhaitham, because i can simply do the Neuvilette-powerwash with Nahida, Fischl and Kuki - Not the most creative team, but highly effective if nothing else works. So i'mma save my pulls for the Diva of Fontaine, who will bring much more to my account than yet another DPS. It's not like we have a shortage of DPS characters anyways.
Alhaitam is extremely F2P friendly. Xingqui and Kuki keeps Harbinger of Dawn sword buff. Both my Nahida and Kuki have 1000+ EM and their killing everything so fast. My Alhaitam is using 2pc Gladiator + 2pc Wanderer with best substats.
Soo...I did all I could but couldn't get Arlecchino. Now I'm 5-10 wishes away from a guaranteed 5* and wondering...should I get Nilou? Or Dendro Keqing? I want more Sumeru characters, but they all look either niche (Nilou) or not sumerian (Wanderer). I already Have C2 Raiden and C3 Keqing, plus maybe want Clorinde, so Cyno as another electro DPS is definitely not tempting, as cool as he is. Any opinions appreciated, thanks. (Yes, I have Nahida).
imma be honest, my first limited 5 star was nahida and i am never going back. she just makes everything so much better, from abyss clears to collecting reasorces, especially for newer players shes super op. i will always think hyperbloom is the best rection in the game judt because of hiw flexible it is. never going back
What if i don't have or don't like Kuki? She has nice visuals but healer who drains own hp to heal is cringe. Compared to Kok or Yao or EMRaiden for me Kuki is way less comfy for hyperbloom.

Is there a table of characters that benefit the most from leveling them up to 90, and for which 80 + ascension is sufficient?
Usually just hp scaling characters (furina,yelan and so forth) and people that's better off with em like anemo characters like venti and kazuha, and of course characters that's pops dendro reactions mostly just Raiden and kuki
I will just add one thing that Al Haitham is great at is AOE and single target. Obviously doesn’t work with grouper like kazuha very well but has good innate AOE but being able to do both definitely separates him from other DPS and increases his value over regular hyperbloom noticably
Next time put it in the video because it is a significant part of a character's power level and regular hyperbloom is significantly worse in aoe content and also alhaitham is very flexible in rotation which is great for multi wave of enemies like we are getting in recent spiral abyss
Thanks for the video! You didn't mention my favorite Alhaitham team: Alhaitham, Kuki, Yelan, Xingqiu! I know that a second dendro character can be better for the 4th slot instead of one of the hydros, but I just love the double hydro core and the ton of energy it generates. I was able to use Alhaitham's burst almost every rotation with about 140 ER. I prefer this team not just because it lets me utilize my ER rolls in Alhaitham's artifacts and lets both hydro units get enough ER to comfortably burst every rotation, but also because I don't have to reapply Nahida's E to each enemy wave. And the resistance to interruption is nice. And the hydro resonance (Yelan deals more damage, Kuki heals more, everyone is more tanky) is nice. And I also feel like (it's probably not true) that if I'm using Xingqiu instead of Nahida, I deal more single target damage, and the teams damage is primarily single target anyway, so in multitarget content it may be better to kill one enemy faster than split the damage between the two/three because then you increase the speed of killing the enemy and get to switch to the next enemy faster.
IMO another benefit of Alhaitham is his teambuilding, which is very orthogonal currently to a lot of other meta characters' best teams thanks to Furina. He doesn't want Bennett or Kazuha, and not having Furina over XQ/Yelan is a much smaller DPS difference compared to other teams like Neuvillette or Xiao.
Basically you can run Alhaitham/Nahida/XQ/Kuki with very strong results and then you are free to use Furina, Bennett, Kazuha, etc., on your other teams like Neuv, Arle, Hu Tao, Xiao, etc.,
@@aerohydra3849 Yeah! That's especially nice considering the squishiness Furina brings to the team, so being able to use a strong defensive utility option (Xingqiu) instead without losing too much damage is great!
Wuthering Waves is soo much better than Genshin Impact and here are the reasons:
1. Graphics
- WW graphics are 10 times better than Potato Impact which is huge for a serious PC gamer like myself.
2. Combat System
- WW combat system is also way better(heaps more fun imo) - obviously massive plus.
3. Artifacts
- WW have root based artifacts meaning you can farm much as you want, unlike Genshit Impact's super limited resin plus 99% crap artifacts combo.
- On top of that it's million times easier to get gg or perfect artifacts, so many people already have several perfect or near artifacts in WW.
- So its day and night compared to game like Genshin..
4. Wishes
- WW wish system is super generous compared to Genshin, so many people got 5 stars within 2-3x 10 wishes.
- WW developers already gave everyone one FREE 5 star hero, you know samething Genshin did for 3rd anniversary.. cough
- WW doesn't have total scam weapon wish like Genshin.. you get the 5 star weapon you select within 80 pulls(usually much quicker).
- Have fun getting Furina weapon by getting another two totally useless 5 star weapon first)
Honestly way I see it Genshin died on the release day of WW, personally I've spent tons of $$$ in Genshin but I will NOT be spending another cent on that total rip-off game graphics made for old Nokia phones.
Considering how almost every pyro character is linked to bennett. I doubt dendro characters are getting away from nahida either.

Yea, as much as I see the problem, I don't know why it's always dendro related teams or characters like Nilou,Nahida etc that get the sticker for constricted team building. The same people would be running the same XQ/Bennett/Hutao/XL/Yelan/Childe vape archetype for years but if another team even has 2 staple units, people complain like it's a new unique issue.

Tighnari usually prefers Yae Miko instead of Kuki, because he's not that close to the enemies as Alhaitham. Additionally, Tighnari's charged shots don't trigger Xingqiu's rain swords or Yelan's burst. So Tighnari and Alhaitham aren't exchangeable within the same team.
It's this precise reason that I switched out my Thoma for Dehya on my Tighnari/Yae hyperburgeon team. She's more quick swappy and doesn't need the normal attack to trigger her effects.
Me who was already set on getting Alhaitham and already did all my research: INTERESTING
Alhaitham is great and he does not need Nahida… Wish you best on your pulls.

@@ChunderThunder1 Big L for Mihoyo on that. Me with 160ms ping can only occasionally perform this Kuki-Alhaitham swap. Also dodges were always clunky with such ping.
And don't forget one particular artifact set being useless on >100ms ping.
People have to consider that if Lvl.100 is a reality, Dendro would benefit a lot. So just take that in mind. And in the Theatre you can use multiple DPS of the same element in other rotations.
I'm more curious abt the 5.0 leak i saw being correct or not. Lets just say if its true dendro is getting an indirect buff. Though it's mainly focused on pyro and geo

Alhaitham/furina/baizhu/kuki is peak comfort team and the extra fan fare and small spread damage increase make up a fair bit for the loss of nahida and you have so much healing and baizhu resistance to interruption (in the form of his paper thin shields) that you never really feel threatened unless you’re face tanking some really nasty enemies, imo alhaitham feels a lot better with interruption resistance so any team where you can run beidou xingu or baizhu can make things a lot more comfortable

@@ionized_salmon6417 Yeah I would rather swap kuki for raiden for the longer rotations if using baizhu/furina, but honestly I have mostly found nahida/xq/al/kuki the comfiest al team since he can facetank almost everything in this setup and xq's swords can keep kuki/nahida alive if they get hit when swapping.
For this current boss event I have been running this team since most other teams without xq are getting oneshot if I miss a dodge.

Baizhu interrupt resist shield is actually quite good to prevent you from getting knocked around, the heal is also very high, can replace kuki with raiden or fischl for battery
I think the problem with dendro isn't necessary caused by nahida, but with archons in general. It seems like hoyo want to make archons the strongest on what they do and very hesitant to powercreep them. This is impacted differently on every element.
Anemo : the only element that the archon is powercreep by other. Most likely we will never get a better grouper than kazuha because it will powercreep venti again.
Geo : to this day there's no better shielder than zhongli. This is one of the reason why shielder is generally weaker than healer, they don't want to powerceeep zhongli.
Electro : it's very clear that hoyo is very cautious to make a better electro DPS than Raiden. Clorinde is toned down to aggravate DPS which raiden isn't to begin with. And most likely that they will never make a dedicated hyperbloom trigger because it will powercreep her and kuki.
Dendro : Nahida is the first limited 5* dendro, but they don't want future unit to powercreep her. So they raised the bar so high so that they can fill the gap with future unit. This is why other dendro feels worthless now.
Hydro : this is the perfect scenario. Furina is so strong but genshin is full of strong hydro unit within 3 years so she isn't as mandatory. I believe the future archons shouldn't have this problem too.

I love your rundown! Don’t apologize! You’re spot-on and I get that they don’t want to power creep the archons for lore reasons as well as making sure their value remains relevant. I wish they hadn’t locked themselves in for this bc it really limits the value of newer units in the game. I think they had learned their lessons and applied it to Fontaine/Furina. However, I’m disappointed that they don’t push the envelope more.
One idea that I do love was from Jello and speculation of what’s to come. If they added a level 100 ascension and that ascension allowed a brand new passive for each character, it could give Hoyo a chance to correct some of these things. A way for them to allow some power creep to the archons but then give the archons something fresh that allows them to maintain value. Idk. I just really love that idea too bc we could fix older units like Yoimiya and others. Sigh… likely won’t happen but I can dream
I have to disagree with you re Venti. Up till now, he is still the best grouper. What his kit lacks is other buffs. But if we look at grouping ability, Venti is still the best. If we require more utility other than grouping, then Kazuha is the one.
C0 Raiden is more of an universal battery than a dps and no one does a better job than she. If you want dps Raiden, go for C2.
C0 Furina at most is a sub-dps with her seafood. She is currently the best buffer.
I think raiden is batter/dps but if you have constellation for her then she would be a hypercarry
Per some other comments, I think we've reached a point where the Archons are still good but they're starting to get pigeon-holed into hyper-specific "best of" roles and even then have other pros and cons that need to be considered (e.g. Furina's HP drain). With that in mind, I don't see why they can't introduce another good Dendro applicator. Nahida is great because she's application + AoE damage + buffing, so there shouldn't be an issue with divvying those roles up while leaving Nahida to be the great all-round package.
For instance, they could easily introduce a 5-star that applies Dendro consistently from a close-range aura. This would offer amazing synergy with Alhaitham since he's melee, or even Hyperbloom using Kuki. They could offload the Dendro application to a "pet" like Furina's or a better construct similar than Traveler's burst or even an "on-hit" mechanic like Yelan/XQ.
Regardless of what form it takes, my point is simply that Nahida is such a great all-round package that it would be really difficult for them to fully powercreep her.

I don't think it's a big deal since the transformative reaction damage change is minimal and there's instructors and dendro res to help her reach 1000 em.
Same I honestly hate using nahida with Alhaitham cause honestly the rotation feels very annoying with always reapplying her skill.. ANDi don't like kuki as well sooo my team is a baizhu furina raiden team and it's still veeeeeeerry strong and it feels sososo comfortable
I generally play Al with Miko & Baizhu, throwing in Kazuha to swirl electro. It works for me as I rarely use my Nahida.
Alhaitham is a strong dps with or without Nahida. He is fun and pretty easy to build. His design is also great. He has a ton of value and has proven his worth over time. Still the 3rd best dps in the game…
like if anything i think Al is more tied to shinobu than Nahida. Nahida is good though if you wanna see those green numbers pop off, one of my favorite teams for Al is Al/Shinobu/Baizhu or Yaoyao/Any Hydro can work XQ is the best 4 star option but like even frickin Barbara can work well. for this team I usually ran a full EM Deepwood Kuki since i find Baizhu(C0) and Yaoyao to be unreliable deepwood holders at times due to RNG or Low dendro application and i don't mind it since Transformative reaction damage between sets are pretty minimal. Sometimes i still run it even with Nahida(holding GD or GT) since in some cases she causes occasional spreads and those spreads also pop off hard.
@@usmanya5110 I used to run kuki on deepwood too! I pulled Al early game for me and got kuki on standard, and suddenly overworld became easy. Until I got nahida I couldn't find a better deepwood holder than kuki either - kirara had to be c4. Now I have Nahida/Baizhu kuki is Gilded, but good to know I wasn't the only one.
I think al can work without kuki (either raiden, or in aggr Yae/fischl) but he becomes much less of a tanky support without kuki. In baiz/furina/al/raiden team I will die more often with more aggressive enemies since I'm so used to facetanking hits with kuki's healing.

Without Nahida Alhaitham is not a DPS but a semi dps semi driver because you NEED that high dendro to maintain quicken with an hydro unit on the team or else, you won't have any spread and mostly deal raw damages and hyperbloom damages

Alhaitham was my first ever 5* DPS back when I first started the game late 3.6 (lucked out and pulled him early during 3.7), and he's saved my but in story progression by far, and as someone who really loves the Dendro element, it has been great with no regrets at all. (Yes, Nahida is great and one of my favorite characters - along with Neuvillette, but I pulled Nahida MUCH later since I missed her last rerun and couldn't get her until Fontaine, so he was perfectly fine even before Nahida.)
It makes me sad that Nahida carries all Dendro reaction teams on her back, because there are so many Dendro and Electro characters I would love to have and build but I only have one Nahida.

Dont let his lies fool you. If you're gonna use a dendro spread alhaitham dps team with only one electro character, you need baizhu in there. With that, you can use any electro offield dps. So raiden, fishcl, or yae miko will be the best options

With the new endgame incentifies you to have boarder roster in your account, I think it make his pull value go up a bit. Still, if I would recommend newer player to go for 5* Dendro characters, he would be in the 3rd after Nahida and Baizhu bc
- Nahida literally carries the whole element.
- Baizhu offers 2 types of defensive utilities and can synergize very well with Furina that I think he has more pull value than Nahida is some situations.
I agree with Jello's advice at the end:
Don't just get a character because they're good. Because Ganyu and Tighnari taught me I don't like charged bow shot characters, I skipped Lyney - who is great for damage, but whose playstyle I don't enjoy (so I skip). Similarly, Hu Tao is one of the top pyro DPSs in the game and I got her because she was great... but I never got used to her style. Arlecchino plays the way I wish Hu Tao played, and I regret Hu Tao not because she's bad, but because I don't like her and I will always choose Arlecchino for a situation where I would have considered Hu Tao.
I have other examples, but I wanted to highlight two META characters that I either skipped or regretted. Don't go making my mistakes. :P

Bro, my alhaitham only has like 140 CD , and he is doing way more damage in the same setup as you played. Now, I truly think an hybrid build is better . A mix of everything ✨️

Alhaitham was the first limited 5 star I ever pulled and he has carried me through most of the game. I'm f2p, I have him on R4 Iron Sting, full Gilded, triple crowned, and I play him with Xingqiu, Kuki, and Nahida. They're my best team by far.

As someone who doesn't like Nahida's design at all it really feels like it locks off a whole element.
Like I'd just rather play characters that I like than power teams, but Dendro (and most Electro) just feels sad without her.
He is the reason why I can get all platinum plats in the Specially-shaped Saurian Search event, Without him, I don't think I can do it without him eventhough i have the others invested "top dps"
I don't have him, nor do I plan on going for him, but updated guides are always great! I love when we get to reflect a bit on how the characters have changed with the ever expanding roster ad developing meta

He was my 2nd 5☆ after Yae, it is incredible how he simplified my play.
Good vid overall. The only thing i would disagree with is that saying units like hutao and especially raiden is close to his performance. Hutao is only comparable to him in ST and Raiden is honestly very mediocre by current dps standards.

Raiden is only a burst DPS and battery she's not an on field DPS so you are wrong, give her the signature weapon and her C2 and she obliterates everything she clean up the screen and leaves the field while recharging everyone abilities in the process
@@KamiKaXi But then you are comparing unequal investment. Raiden at C2 R1 is 3 5 star pulls, and currently there are many characters like Neuv, Arlecchino, even Lyney who can achieve better results at the same investment level, or similar results with less pulls.

I love alhaitham! Hes great at c0 and has a f2p weapon option which makes me always recommend him to people looking for a low investment option! I run him with xq (c6), kuki (c6) and yaoyao (c2) on 4pc guilded set and enemies already melt like butter, slotting in nahida must be a ton of fun! I really love what dendro did for elemental reactions and hope genshin keeps up with other elemental reactions for the future 👍
My favorite Alhaitham team is Alhaitham, Baizhu, Xinqui and Kuki. I've got a lot of skill issue and this team is essentially immortal, and Alhaitham + a well build Xinqiu with the hyperblooms from Kuki does more than enough damage.

@@richardm8155 You could, and it'll probably do the same amount of damage, but it won't be as comfy. Kuki heals, and Baizhu provides shields for interruption resistance. Damage wise though it's probably the same.

Alha is a beast at c0r1. I'd rather get him than go hyperbloom with nahida onfield and double hydro. Also for pure agg/spread w/kuki nahi baizou; in close combat it's bonkers. Alha clears abyss rooms in 3 seconds ^^ It's not an easy skip tbh
Before getting Nahida, I was running dendro MC in her position with Alhaitham and Kuki, and it felt really strong. Also for 4 star (+ MC) challenges I run Kuki, Xingqui and dendro MC + a flex slot, and again this feels really strong. So Nahida may be the damage ceiling but hyperbloom rules even without her...
I pulled Alhaitham not for meta but well, for his looks.
I have alhaitham and dendro lumine and I don't plan on getting nahida at all. it works in abyss so no complaints
I will say that I agree with most of Jello’s eval but for me Alhaitham is also one of the more fun characters to play and that pushes him up a tier for me.
I pulled alhaitham on his last rerun and still enjoy playing him and probably never stop enjoying his playstyle
I got lucky when I pulled his weapon, I've gotten 3 40CV dendro goblets since I've pulled him with one of them being perfect substats Double Crit ER, EM I got just the other day
My alhaitham build has 250 CV which is a lot granted the build I got on Is a 2pc/2pc combo with one of them being leftover wanderer's troupe pieces I don't use on anyone else atm
I just want to mention if you don't have nahida its ok if you still want alhaitham I own nahida and I choose to not play her with alhaitham and I still get good clears

Funnily enough I've played this team replacing baizhu with Proto Amber nahida and even tho it was good but for my alhaitham team I didn't see that much improvement except in certain scenarios because outside of nahida's DMG her buff to my alhaitham felt less impactful due to how good my alhaitham build is to a point that I would have to put more DMG artifacts on nahida to see a bigger difference

by running barbara + raiden you're essentially losing a team slot here, which is VERY impactful on your damage. That's why kuki is so powerful for hyperbloom, she allows you to run nahida + two offensive characters.
So you either have to switch to kuki from raiden, or go try hard and do xingqiu as your only defensive option. And definitely xingqiu + (yelan, fischl, furina, etc) are impactful to your overall DPS.
@@JelloImpact This! I use Raiden as trigger fairly often but she only feels good with on field kokomi's good damage + healing. You really want 3 characters that bring at least some decent damage + the trigger.
Do note that Nahida's burst doesn't work for off field characters so most of the time if you are bursting with her on the standard hyperbloom teams it's only for her on field duties while the other characters do their stuff off field, so Raiden doesn't get buffed by her burst, everything that jello said above is correct but also note that in pure hyperbloom triggering capabilities Raiden is better by a small margin but she doesn't provide healing and is useless against shields (I run nahida XQ kuki fischl and it works great for me but my fischl and xq builds are definitely lacking)
That’s the problem with hyperbloom it’s consistent but it’s not an always go to options in abyss. People cope by saying just use hyperbloom and you be fine but there’s so much more than that goes into it. I’ll give you my teams example I can clear the current abyss with Team navia, xiangling, Bennett, zhongli. Team xiao, faruzan, xianyun, zhongli or furina. Team knave, mono pyro with zhongli or kazuha and yelan zhongli. Team wanderer, faruzan, Bennett,zhongli. Team hu tao basic comp. Then team nevi with a pyro with like xiangling. Team raiden national or hyper. See how just hyperbloom fall off here with these example. Not including team rotation and positioning of the mobs. Having a team wide of variation equal more clears and comfort instead of the just one comp that people hype it to be broken that u need nothing else when it’s not true. But what am I to say I guess -_-.
I don’t thinks it’s an artifact gap more like a team choices but as the saying goes for a lot of the causal player play what you like if you can clear good. If not probably rethink what went wrong and how can you do better. If it’s artifacts then refarm again. If that’s not it pick characters that you will benefit more off of.
Got him a while back and didn’t regret it. That’s despite me having c2 Nahida and c3 Tighnari. He still holds his own in many teams even at c0r0 (mine uses Xiphos’ which is almost as drippy as PJC). But power wise, pulling two extra Nahida’s was definitely more than twice the value. Thankfully he’s relatively cheap in the sense you just need him, once, and you’re set. I mean you don’t *need* Nahida cons but c2 is hella tempting. I’ve decided the only characters I’m actively going to hunt cons for are archon level supports/hybrids with the massive flexibility they have. Next target is C2R1 Furina (C1R0 atm).

dendro has already shown sign of falling off, electro dps(s) tend to have lower numbers and alhaitham being the only dendro dps not having any cons has really hurt dendro teams' dps. you can maybe get a new kuki that heals more but the realistic option is alhaitham 2.0 with good cons
i use alhaitham in a spread team with miko, fischl, and baizhu and it always clears abyss so i wouldn't say that he needs nahida
I feel like to make Dendro more versatile outside of bloom variants they need a "Cheveruse" for quicken
IE Somone who could buff Tignhari or Al Hathim teams built around straight up attacking.
(Even more specifically, a dendro off field one so they can use deepwood to replace Nahida's slot)
I wouldnt say Alhaitham Kuki Xingqiu Nahida is a "premium" team. Two 4 stars that dont need constellations (okay maybe kuki needs c2), the 5 star dps, and a universally good buffer is rather budget for a team.

i have both him and nahida but personally i play alhaitham without her but rather with baizhu for shields and better sustain. but even as solo dendro he's totally fine. pretty strong dps overall, fun gameplay, good for hyperbloom, aggravate, nilou blooms

I think it's going to be close to impossible to make a dendro team that functions better without Nahida or have a dendro character that's a VERY close alternative. It may be possible with c0 nahida for the f2p though
my thoughts on Al
-as a 1st Dendro pull he's pretty banger and that's what i'm planning to do on my 2nd account. obviously Nahida is better and higher value but Alhaitham is still very strong unit even without her. though if you have nahida his value can somewhat drop or increase depending on your situation since she herself is stupidly busted, she's nuts. before i barely used them together because nahida is so busted that i think it would feel too much if i use both on one side, and that my international team wasn't built yet. i started using them both together now after i finished building it.
-i wouldn't pull him if i didn't have Shinobu any off field electro can work but to me she feels like Alhaitham's tool to function really well.
ngl one of the funniest teams i played is running Al with three healers and for some reason it slaps. Barbara in instructors, Yaoyao/Baizhu on SoDP and Kuki on Deepwood. i run Kuki on deepwood nearly everytime with Al usually even with or without nahida. so i don't have worry about Baizhu's low off field application and Yaoyao's RNG and Short range, and the damage between transformative reactions isn't really that big, when i'm with nahida it makes run an offensive set and sometimes she does occasionally cause some spreads. for Deepwood Shinobu the way to build her would be full em and stack her with as much EM and hp substats as much as possible and dendro res and i'm able to reach 1k em.
edit:i forgot about how he is good in ST and while also doing good in AoE. and how his rotations are pretty flexible, like you can do Q first and save the E or vice versa. or the Q,E plunge combo for bosses.
No matter what alhaitham will probably always be the best dendro after nahida aand theres also the fact that they are used together often

I tend to play Alhaitham/Yae/Nahida/Baizhu. Baizhu just gives so much sustain and buffs alhaithams damage up incredibly well.
But yeah, I forgot he might have more value in proccing more aggrevates damage wise. Not having that 2nd electro hurts his damage. But damn so squishy then.
Uhm no the team is fine. You don’t need "more" electro to trigger more reactions. For spread you only need quicken aura which lasts quite a long time. Yae as an electro is more than enough here

I almost had this Dendro problem with Cyno, but Baizhu deals with it. In a team with Furina, Baizhu, Nahida and Cyno, if I need to change a unit for another Electro, I switch it in Nahida's place, 'cause Baizhu aplication is more relevant for Cyno.

The reason i'll never get nahida is the fact that she's so awkward and clunky to work with Cyno, which is so fucking ironic cause she works well with haitham and Nari. Honestly dendro will be saved if they just stop releasing onfield hyper-carry characters, WE NEED A DENDRO XINGQIU (without having icd restrictions and poorly timed per tick applications ex. Dehya skill, Candace burst, Thoma burst, Baizhu ult) or even a dendro crowd control, they have plants! Use that vines to trap enemies for fucks sake. Kaveh should have been an off field dendro support not a fucking bloom driver, they nerfed the hell down baizhu's dendro application and shielding capabilities just so they can have an excuse for a poorly made separate dendro shielder (kirara). And yes i do agree that the problem with dendro is the team composition, the team i use with Haitham is literally just the same i use with Nari and Cyno. The game team devs are getting lazy of thinking of a new, innovative and unique skill set, their just re-using the old ones of different characters.

The only thing kirara has is her shield, poor dendro application, on-field driver, no party wide buff or any benefit to any of her team. While yes, you can use her in any dendro team, but in a bloom/hyperbloom/burning teams who would want a shielder than a healer? Having both a shielder and a healer is too redundant, even now with the new mechanic bond of life, you'd always prefer a healer, Yaoyao completely beats her with buffs she can give in a dendro team, Sayu is literally her anemo origin. Even at C6, if you want a shielder then just use Diona (that can give +200 EM, +atk spd) or even layla. She has too much competion and she lacks too much even for a 4star.

And bol is extremely niche and under utilized and is generally not really advisable to use. Kirara also has one of the best shields (wanna say 3rd best, though possibly 2nd) in the game and is better than layla bc cryo isn't really that good of an element. U do realize kirara buffs elemental dmg right for the entire team. Yaoyao really just heals. Other than dendro app/healing yaoyao doesn't do anything else. Ur definitely underestimating kirara all things considered. Hyperbloom ur not really running diona or layla. Yaoyao is a maybe but ur not running her bc kuki/xing. Burgeon, kirara is definitely better than yaoyao. Bloom, 3 slots bc u need nilou. So xing/yelan for the hydro spot, and for dendro u can comfortably do kirara+dmc and do really well. Yaoyao if ur running yelan, kirara elsewise.

I use Baizhu instead of Nahida and though He does not buff as much as her, Haitham deals a lot of damage on his own honestly and the decrease in dendro res just helps him even more

It's always funny to my, how the testers were all mocking his kit before his first run. "Dendro Keqing ololol", everyone was like, "he's not worth getting". I got him as soon as the banner was available, because I liked his character and my first impression was, "what are they talking about? He's awesome!". And a few days later more and more people went, "what are they talking about? He's awesome!". And even the "Dendro Keqing" bunch got more and more silent.
Moral of the story: Don't trust testers or leaks. Get your own impression in the character trial once the banner goes live and if playing the character feels good to you then go get them.
I really want a pretty tall female model dendro sub-dps. Right now I feel like Nahida just does it all, I would love to see a Dendro off-fielder that specializes in burn or quicken so that Nahida specializes in bloom instead of specializing in everything. I used to think that at least Aggravate didn’t want her, but now with Clorinde not even Aggravate is safe from the cabbage child.

if you read the passive it sounds like garbage. Its high base atk isn't well utilized on alhaitham, and it only gives 64 CV. The vertical investment priority for alhaitham is c2 nahida -> c2 furina -> alhaitham. If it's between this or saving for c2 nahida, i would skip this tbh. If you can't raise 200 pulls by the end of the weapon banner it is always an instant skip

sharing my experience:
ayato was my first 5 star pull and as such i did build him to my best effort (lvl 90, skill crowned, all lvl 20 artifact set)
i picked hyperbloom as his main team with nahida, xingqiu, kuki as the support (also built them well)
then after playing the game i liked alhaitham himself (from the story and from the fandom)
so now that i got him, my dismay after knowing that ill just basically gonna replace ayato with alhaitham in a team is kinda icky.
my other characters are not that built yet (only playing for less than a year) so im just stuck here not knowing what team i should put either one of the two
my option are vaporize for ayato or spread for alhaitham
my second team is overload yae, xiangling, bennet, chev
but if I pick spread i have to get yae a new artifact set, the guilded dreams, same as alhaitham so that's not fun
and i tested vaporize ayato w bennet xiangling and it's not that good lmaoooo

Nahida c2 is actually 2 parts:
1)bloom/hyperbloom/burgeon has 25% chance to crit;
2)quicken/aggravate/spread causes a 30def shred (not restricted to dendro dmg);
I've found Itto/Zhongli/Fischl/Nahida comp to be stronger than Itto/Zhongli/Gorou/[fill].
Don't bother with Itto though (he's too weak), I have him c4 with redhorn, and can't plat any of the current saurian event bosses with him (regisvine/geovishap/chicken/seahorse).
In fact, I can't plat with Hutao, Yoimiya, Eula, or Yelan either, and I've resorted to scuffed teams to get plat (used food, 5star weapons, and Nahida c2).

1)Furina/Kuki/Nahida/Xingqiu - regisvine;
2)Fischl/Zhongli/DMC(edit)/Nahida - geovishap; (would be better with Al Haitham)

Alhaitham's a skip for me - Apart from the fact that i just don't like him (I think he is an absolute migraine as a character, he got on my nerves all the time during the story), it's like you said: I have Nahida, which makes him an easy skip. I simply don't need him as much as i need Furina for example. My Dendo teams kick butts already without Alhaitham, because i can simply do the Neuvilette-powerwash with Nahida, Fischl and Kuki - Not the most creative team, but highly effective if nothing else works.
So i'mma save my pulls for the Diva of Fontaine, who will bring much more to my account than yet another DPS. It's not like we have a shortage of DPS characters anyways.
Alhaitam is extremely F2P friendly. Xingqui and Kuki keeps Harbinger of Dawn sword buff. Both my Nahida and Kuki have 1000+ EM and their killing everything so fast. My Alhaitam is using 2pc Gladiator + 2pc Wanderer with best substats.

Soo...I did all I could but couldn't get Arlecchino. Now I'm 5-10 wishes away from a guaranteed 5* and wondering...should I get Nilou? Or Dendro Keqing? I want more Sumeru characters, but they all look either niche (Nilou) or not sumerian (Wanderer). I already Have C2 Raiden and C3 Keqing, plus maybe want Clorinde, so Cyno as another electro DPS is definitely not tempting, as cool as he is. Any opinions appreciated, thanks. (Yes, I have Nahida).
imma be honest, my first limited 5 star was nahida and i am never going back. she just makes everything so much better, from abyss clears to collecting reasorces, especially for newer players shes super op. i will always think hyperbloom is the best rection in the game judt because of hiw flexible it is. never going back

What if i don't have or don't like Kuki? She has nice visuals but healer who drains own hp to heal is cringe. Compared to Kok or Yao or EMRaiden for me Kuki is way less comfy for hyperbloom.
Is there a table of characters that benefit the most from leveling them up to 90, and for which 80 + ascension is sufficient?
Usually just hp scaling characters (furina,yelan and so forth) and people that's better off with em like anemo characters like venti and kazuha, and of course characters that's pops dendro reactions mostly just Raiden and kuki
