I'm currently taking a class on the Elegy and I have to present on this next week. Hearing it read really illuminates the beauty and cadence of Milton's words (I think my favourite line is "And Daffadillies fill their cups with tears", its just a gorgeous image). This is a great reading. :)
Thanks for this splendid recording. A marvellous rendition. Are you open to requests? I'd love to hear you reading Wordsworth's sonnet 'London 1802' - From memory it begins "Milton, thou shouldst be living at this hour, England hath need of thee!". Thanks again for the 'new' Lycidas. Much appreciated.

This is a very helpful and informed reading. One suggestion, though. At line 141, it is "vernal", not "venal" floweres. -- RHL -- USA
The poem didn't really resonate with me until I heard it.
new to this page and loving the reading. One question . Who is Tom O'Bedlam.?
Are all these pronunciations right? I'm memorizing this and want to make sure...
@scifiwritir Perhaps you could put it on an mp3 player and let him hear it.
