RnD and how they went about building this specific card are the reasons But it will pay off on the second and third production runs where they start turning that 20-30 dollar profit. However you miss the point, either card is fine because they both have 16gb Vram which is enough to power all games at 4k Res if required. And here AMD offers 16gb Ram v Nvidias 12Gb on the 5070 which is not enough to run some 1440p games let alone 4k. its ALL about the Ram and nothing else.

Can someone explain why AMD seems to be unwilling to compete with higher end Nvidia cards. Their next gen highest end card will only compete with the 5070? Why? Flagship GPU's are low volume products. The vast majority of GPU sales are in the $300 and under class. It also does not help that even when AMD did have the better top end product that Nvidia outsold them dramatically. So AMD may decide its simply not worth the R&D and production costs to go big.

I have both Rtx 4070 super and rx 7900gre and both gpus work quite well in 1440p on max settings but amd háve more VRAM meter stability in game and mutch better 1%lows and its cheaper the nvidia háve better RT performance and superior upscaler but many people will say that amd háve problems with drivers from my experience it is quitw opposite cuz my Rtx 2070super and Rtx 3070 OC was great and there was small issues with drivers but nothing big but with Rtx 4070 super i have quite issues in Last year cuz yes drivers Come out in tíme but many Times they fix a lot of issues and brake something in proces completly perhaps my obs settings or my oled monitor even IF i turn IF off its just not fully power off soo yeah drivers wasnt good at least this year with nvidia but in the other hand i gót amd from apríl of the year samé as the nvidia one but i must say this 7000series gpu is great and drivers are perfect and Last 4 updates i really feels gain in stability in oplication a lot. The only things Nvidia does better it's raytracing, which it's an overrated feature that very few use and DLSS it's indeed the best upscalling. How much it's DLSS worth it depends on price, cuz if you have 400$ and have to choose between an rtx 4060 ti 8gb and rx 7800 xt 16gb. Even with dlss on the 4060ti you probably won t match the raster perf of 7800 xt and game will look worse, play worse because the lack of vram and raytracing it's unusable anyway. So it depends.
