I totally agree about the NSE benches. Best ever around. I really like this railway and I think am going to take up a life time membership with them as I want to support them as much as I can. I have been making an awareness video about a project idea of preserving the Class 769 as 769008 there in the future and I am happy to hear that the EKR are going to extend the platform as well which I think would be ideal because with the Class 769 (ex-Class 319) being a 4 car unit. It won't be necessary to lock out the rear most doors of the driving unit at Eythorne if they can fit a 4 car train onto the platform with the new extension. A fun fact is that the East Kent Railway is also included in Train Simulator Classic on DTG's London Victoria to Ramsgate and Dover route that is their Chatham Main Line. A very nice touch and I am glad they included this heritage railway on that route as well. Thanks for another great video as always buddy. I look forward to more from this channel. That's what's this channel is about finding these unique places & events to put it out there to the people to attend and help these places get the footfall, EKR is possibly the best priced attraction in the whole of Kent all of this for a tenner minus the miniature railways & certainly the NSE benches are so relaxing to rest up on!
It's not new I'm afraid - it's been in existence over 30 years, I was involved in its early days back in 1989, so hardly hidden! Open days have been very regular and lots of running days.
I could of evnvisied my version of new which would include this railway my bad 👎 Yeah I have never though about going down there, tended to go SKLR or tenderten but will be going back down there for events and when 73130 is running!
