When I was a small child, I really did not think that Lithuania could be so proud of itself, but it happened and we, the entire Lithuanian nation, we will never and never allow them to occupy us. Hi, food couriers are walking because there will be no car parking right next to the cafe in the old town, and also because this couriers are usually delivered only in this area. Those who drive outside the old town are transported by car. It is wrong to say that Vilnius is relatively small, because Vilnius is 400 km2, while Stockholm with its suburbs is 381.63 km2. The Old Town you were in is only 2-3% of Vilnius. About 800 thousand people live in the Vilnius region. I live in the 10 kilometers from the old town, it’s clear that couriers bring food for me by car.

    Hello guys! I see you did not go to Kaunas my hometown. It was funny because I live in Gothenburg Sweden right now. :) You did not missed to eat kibinai in Trakai, did you? People are going to Trakai from the rest of Lithuania just because of that! Well, Trakai castle of course, but KIBINAI (small cakes with meat, mushroom or cabage filling) and gira (kind of like cambucha but made from dark bread and cumin) the best refreshment out there in hot summer day!

  •  3 года назад +11

    Honest question, though: do you guys ever feel like you're living too much too fast and that you get kinda numb to new experiences? Because I can't imagine what it must be like to go to so many countries in a row, I believe there would come a point where I would be so exhausted I wouldn't even remember my previous trips in full detail anymore, so that's why I'm asking, I wanna know what this is like for you. Thanks.

      @newyorkeranew 3 года назад +2

    • @OskarandDan
      @OskarandDan  3 года назад +6

      Fair question! That's partly why we're documenting it, to be able to remember it all better (and for our family to have it, hopefully for generations, too). But we also spend more time than this in most countries. Latvia and Lithuania are just so close by that the trip got sorta rushed :) We also do take breaks in-between most trips, it's just not always shown here on RUclips. We LOVE our life and wouldn't trade it for anything else atm!

    Hi guys, so loving your videos thank you. Just wondering exactly when you were in Vilnius as I thought it would have been much cooler if it was October when you were there! Safe travels. Great also to see al, the vegan places you are discovering as I’m vegan too. I remember years ago i was lucky to even find anywhere that offered soy milk!!! Glad things have changed. Did you find anywhere offers nut milks btw?
    Cheers,
    Marg

      This was second week of September! And yes we’ve also noticed a HUGE difference in vegan offerings over the years😍 Oat milk is offered in most of Europe and North America now, nut milks are less common we find!

      @@OskarandDan lovely to hear from you thank you so much. September, oh okay wow, that’s when I’ll be there next year, so good to know, thanks. Good to hear that oat milk is slowly being more widespread as a choice. Now I just need Europeans to learn how to make a weak cappuccino!! Lol!! All good, it’s all part of the travel experience isn’t it!? Happy travels, stay safe,
      Cheers,
      Marg

    you actually can't deliver food by walking :D most likely there are so many people walking with the food bags, is because they are going to their cars, since it is pretty hard to park in the city

    One of these guys has the same voice as Rick Steves. Anyone else notice that or find it ideal for a travel channel?

    There is an Indian in the background, speaking Malayalam from 14:50 onwards. How in the heck did she land there? I bet she is a nurse working in the health care sector.

      Here are a lot of exchange students in our univercities and many Indian immigrants working in tech companies. I really doubt you could see one here working in healthcare sector though, because of the language barrier.
