I would try exposing the concrete to the vacuum in a measuring cup maybe putting the whole setup on a vibrator. After a couple of minutes you could try pouring it carefully into the final mold?

I use hydrostone (concrete plaster mix) and i leave enough space that i can run a wetted paintbrush (flat #5ish) around all the surfaces inside, then fill the rest of the way. Only thing that consistently works for me, just make sure to rinse the brush immediately and obviously don't pour the rinse water in the drain

Try a defoamer additive, that's what's used for countertops

Use a vibrating wand that actually goes down into the concrete. That's how a lot of the precast concrete is done.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually 3D printed something like that to fit on a muscle vibrator. It did help a little but I may try it again with a little patience.

@@justinmcclung Nice. I think the key for those is that the vibration is side to side and quick, so it makes a path for the air to escape.

Line the mould with grout before using vibration

a lot of modelers/sculptors pour a little bit in the mould then roll it around and pour it back out before doing the final pour, this should create a lining with minimal bubbles.

Love your vids ty, i did some reading.. #1mix water and crete then let sit 40min before the pour. This will hopefully degass the mix prior to pour. #2 use a release agent (some use Vaseline) #3 if this still fails you need a wetter mix or add sand or add fly ash. There are more things to try but these seem like the most common...
Then I found a video on youtube "how to make flawless concrete castings" he makes a legit bowl

Thanks for the tips. I do need to add more water as there is no way it can sit for 40 minutes before pouring as it will be hard as a rock by then.
