- Fishing the Big Creek for March STeelhead - A day or 2 away from being prime conditions we got into a few quality fish in the cold murky flows of xxxx creek.

So nice to see Mike back at at. He started the day hot, never missed a beat. Uncle Rob didn’t have such a great day but his last trip made up for this one. Western NY has some beautiful tribs and the last spot was no exception. Cold feet, cold hands but worth the pain to be out enjoying some fresh air and great time with Mike and Rob. The Erie tribs seem to be doing better than the Ontario tribs. Glad you and Mike got to fish again.

Not a bad trip at all👍👍 hopefully there will be some good fishing this upcoming week when the water goes back down... looking like there's going to be some nice temperatures too🎣

Good to see the crew back together again lol definitely a grind but at least you got into to a few fish and kept your streak alive that is definitely impressive to be able to land at least one in 25 straight trips. I braved the cold weather this weekend and and was able to land a couple but definitely had to put some miles on to find fish

Great video as always Bill, glad to see Mike with the hot hand! Been on a couple week hiatus, but looking to make at least one or two more trips before bass heats up. PA seems to be on the wind down but OH has been red hot with all the water they’ve had.

Nice video bill I went out today and got 34 smolts! I tried to get away from them but I couldn’t only landed one nice jack a strange day for sure. Man my reel was froze up, tough conditions going out tomorrow for a little bit before I have to head back home.

Mike gets a happy meal, sorry Rob, just a coffee, lol. Must've been a few days ago right ? Before all the rain because aren't all the streams on both lakes blown out now after all the rain and melt ? Should be some good fishing coming up don't you think ? Anyway, not a bad day fishing, water still cold. Let me know what you think about my questions, thanks. Good luck next time. I've got a lot to learn...got back into this for the first time in Jesus, 15 years. When I stopped I mostly fly fished, but I'm just rolling with a spinning rod these days. Don't really have the tackle to do much other than drifting sacs. Just started buying a few jigs. By next season I'll have more decent floats, beads, and whatever flies my dad does well on I'll just steal when he's buying smokes 😂. Watched your videos for years since the road snake days. I'm around Mike's age, cool seeing him doing well, you guys remind me of my dad and I. we definitely need to appreciate some of our better looking places to fish. On average your spots might look a lil better than ours in northeast Ohio, but The Grand River can be pretty. Only fishable a week out the year though 😂.Be safe, tight lines.
Edit: never bottom bounced but I remember seeing a guy crushing it on Elk Creek pa doing it one day when I was a kid. Any advice?

i used to bottom bounce quite a bit with just enough shot 18 to 24" above the hook that it would stop now and then
