My Japanese mom used to make this for me with a bag of mixed frozen corn, peas, and carrots. She didn't always use ground beef, but it was always one of my favs to get in my bento box. :) Thank you for the recipe!
My school used to serve these but with ham and cheese once a month for breakfast and I loved them so much I begged my dad to let me go to school sick so I wouldn't miss them.
Marion, I just want to say that my wife loves me (and my food!) more ever since I found your channel 😄😄😄 Can't thank you enough!
Also, I love your accent so much! My heart warms everytime you say water.
MY MOUTH LITERALLY WATERED.
I also find the shape of the croquettes very satisfying.
Thanks for uploading so many videos!

Every time I think your recipes couldn’t possibly get any better you come out with something like this!!!! I’m totally a meat 🥩 and potatoes type of guy 😎. Thanks Marion!!!
You're so welcome! Thank you Glen! Always so nice to hear from you!
I'm really loving these easy to make delicious recipes from Marion, really inspires me to cook at home instead of ordering home delivered food that's hit/miss quality but always overpriced. Also Marion, you should create your own line of affordable quality cookware & kitchenware. I love all the stuff u use on this channel. Those bowls & plates are stunning! ❤️
Marion I love every video you and Mama Noi make. Thank you so much for sharing.

Well done, classic basic recipe to teach others. big thumbs up!
Man, this was a bomb recipe. I think the mayonnaise also made a lot of difference. I used beef+pork mince and it turned out perfect. Glad I made a big batch and froze the breaded leftovers (each one plastic wrapped) for emergency needs of yum yum
oh im totally gonna make this one. this is perfect for my irish diet!! 😁
Looks delicious and quick, I make something similar called rolled cutlets, savoury mince and mashed potato. I place some mashed potato in my hand and flatten it and then add the mince to the middle and enclose it with the potato, crumb and deep fry - yum
this is my fave recipe of yours yet ! yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

A must try recipe
UGH croquettes are the bomb
I'm shocked this channel hasn't seen any Japanese or Thai curry recipes (unless I've overlooked them), it'd be a pleasant surprise if you ended up making some!
Yummy Marion, you are the best🍀😊
Hi @Marion'skitchen. Love your videos. Love making your recipes because they're simple yet delicious. Could you make pandan chicken? I've seen so many versions of it but I can't find the right recipe
And I love your channel! 😀😇
Something new for my business idea
What is difference between mayonnaise and Japanese mayonnaise??? Thank you so much!!! Love your food and your channel!!!
Awesome
Thank you for sharing this recipe Marion 😍😉 .. we have something similar in Indonesia name perkedel kentang aka mashed fried potatoes 😉
Hello! It looks so good! Can we replace Japanese mirin for something else?
Ah! I'm craving for croquettes now....
the spoon breaks up the bubbles that form when something is boiling..so it doesn't boil over. Great recipe!
Made these earlier except my version is chicken with some cheddar & jalapenos. Will definitely try this recipe next! 😁👍
Japanese western style cuisine thanks Marion.
This with panko breadcrumbs oh yum ! Could they be made in tempura?
Yum! I love your recipes. Can you make a video for okonomiyaki?
The channel, "Cooking with Dog" has a really good video for Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki.

LOL...the film crew downed about 20 of these with my coconut chilli sauces!
Marion's Kitchen it's yumi i love it
The spoon-as someone says below-breaks the surface tension and stops the head of foam from accumulating
My pots must have missed that class.
I am a marion addict❤
Love love love your recipes, you make it look effortless! Could I please have the Exact measurement?
Yum! Another way to mix it up for my family when using ground beef (beef mince)! Can’t wait to try this recipe out!
Question: Would it be possible to use an air fryer in lieu of shallow pan frying? Could these be prepped and frozen, prior to frying, if a big bunch of these were made?
I haven't tried air-frying them, but imagine with a light spray of oil, they'd brown up nicely in an air-fryer. They also freeze very well - open frozen till solid, then packed into ziplock bags. Ready meals on the go, so reassuring to have things like that stashed away! They fry up beautifully from frozen without defrosting. I used to fry them a little longer to make sure the inside was hot all the way through. If I wasn't sure, I'd stick the tip of a small knife into the centre and then feel the temperature by touching the tip to the back of the hand - them were the days before instant-read digital thermometers!
Marioan do you have your own style of vietnames “ CA Kho Ta “?
Yummm😋😋😍😍
Marion which is the pan you using?
Have you tried adding some spiciness to the potatoe-beef mixture, like one or two finely chopped chilis?
Thanks for sharing this easy and yummy recipe.I love the way you speak you have beautiful voice.pls tell can i use vinegar in place of marine.😘😘😘😘👌👌👌👌❤❤❤❤👣🌹🌹🌹🌹
Does Marion wash the dishes as well after each video?
Great recipe! What can be used as a substitute of mirin?
Just skip it and use a pinch of honey/hoisin sauce maybe? Although hoisin has a distinct flavor.
First one to watch this amazing cooking vid!! It makes me yearn for it 😖 I lo e how you explain the procedure and the cooking. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for watching Estelle!
I made a curry flavored croquette that I copied from the one I had from the Mitsuwa supermarket food court. I wasn't even aware there is a meat version. I will make this meat version in the near
future.
Hi again! Could you prepare this with salmon also? I am so impressed with this!
Oh yes it's great with salmon! Slightly different recipe. I'll add it to my list!
@@Marionskitchen Wonderful, thank you for spicing up our meals!
What potatoes,s do you use please Marion
I've tried the wooden spoon thing. It doesn't keep the water from boiling over. Using a bigver pot or less water works great however.
Yessss I’m the first one! These look so amazing, I cannot wait to give this dish a try! You are amazing 😉 thank you for sharing and well done👏
Aw thank you!
Hi marion can i used pork instead of beef?
Anyone spot what looks like a grub in the Panko @ 3.30?
Could curry powder be added ?
Wasabi could be used or only horseradish green onions would be great with this.
Woohoo I'm the second comment. I got here as soon as I got the notification. These look absolutely fabulous Marion!
Nice one Roby!! LOVE it!
@@Marionskitchen Thanks Marion. I always look forward to your videos.
Notifications squad here 👋👋👋
Woohoo!! Thanks for ringing the bell!
Can you cook it in air fryer?
That looks like really high quality mince.
Hi! It is possible that the amount of soy sauce is wrong in the recipe in the website? it says 1 tbsp but in the video it looks like more than that and when I try to replicate the recipe it looked like a very little amount... Am I missing something?
Another kind of side dishes to pair?
What about using sweet potatoes it would be authetic.
A normal Japanese croquette is only salt and pepper.
Basically, Japanese stick to simple seasoning.
Best eaten without sauce.
It’s like Shepherds pie croquettes! Yum! Inspired!
your first 😱
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Can I have 6 to go please
Got another one to add to my question about potatoes Marion how far behind am I in your video,s of cause I,m seeing comments like made 12 months ago like I said chuckle slow moving Jones ( ya gotta be able to laugh at yourself Cobberdog or Gavin
Hi Marion, I’m a huge fan, I’m not a fan of the background music, I just want too hear you! I think the music is a huge distraction. But I love what you do,
I'm the first
What's up with the audio on this video?
I’m not saying this doesn’t look good because it definitely does... but ultimately this is just a hash brown with beef in it
