    My Japanese mom used to make this for me with a bag of mixed frozen corn, peas, and carrots. She didn't always use ground beef, but it was always one of my favs to get in my bento box. :) Thank you for the recipe!

    Yum! Another way to mix it up for my family when using ground beef (beef mince)! Can’t wait to try this recipe out!
    Question: Would it be possible to use an air fryer in lieu of shallow pan frying? Could these be prepped and frozen, prior to frying, if a big bunch of these were made?

    • @LemLTay
      @LemLTay 5 лет назад +2

      I haven't tried air-frying them, but imagine with a light spray of oil, they'd brown up nicely in an air-fryer. They also freeze very well - open frozen till solid, then packed into ziplock bags. Ready meals on the go, so reassuring to have things like that stashed away! They fry up beautifully from frozen without defrosting. I used to fry them a little longer to make sure the inside was hot all the way through. If I wasn't sure, I'd stick the tip of a small knife into the centre and then feel the temperature by touching the tip to the back of the hand - them were the days before instant-read digital thermometers!
