Hoping you might be able to give me some information. I have the PE770, when I turn it on the brightness screen is showing. When I go to touch screen it's like it's frozen. I have tried shutting it off for awhile then back on and still showing brightness screen. This is the first time that I have turned this machine on since December of 2019. It hasn't moved or been touched since then. It was working perfectly.
It sounds like one of the boards needs to be replaced. A service center can do this for you. Or you can try taking it all apart and checking all of the wired connectors to the board, making sure that they are all plugged in.
My shaft is having a difficult time moving up and down. Feels very tight. I've opened the top left side of the machine and cleaned it out, but still no luck. Any suggestions would be helpful.
When you turn the flywheel snd it is hard to turn it can be a number of things. 1. Make sure that your bobbin area is clean. 2. Take off the left top cover (screw is in the back for removal) and look inside at the gears. Lots of time thread gets wrapped up in the gears. I use tweeezers, scissors, and razor blades to get the thread out. This can take awhile depending on how deeply it is wrapped up in the gears. 3. Another issue but less often is that the shaft has become “frozen” because the bearings needed to have been oiled. If you aren’t able to solve the issue, take the machine to a service center. Brother, Babylock and some other dealers can service the machine for you.
Yes! The mechanism that carries the hoop has screws in the bottom. You can remove the casing and clean the interior of lint and thread and then oil along the shaft.
wonder if you can advise me what to do with my machine, not tying off the stitches at the end of satin stitch letters. working with brother dream creator
The machine will stitch as it is "programmed" through a design. If there is not a "tie off" perhaps it was not put in by the digitizer. A tie off is simply a stitch in place for 3 or more stitches or a backstitch that acts to lock the stitching. You can manually do this. You can also use a bit of glue on the back of your work to secure the thread. This is my best answer and I believe all to be accurate however I don't pretend to know everything and someone else may have a different answer. I always advocate for going back to the dealer and ask questions! That is what they are there for (or should be anyway.)
It’s possible that the sensor is damaged. Try removing the presser foot from the bar. And then when the bar is down, see if you continue to get the message. At times when the presser foot is not on the bar correctly then it won’t let the presser bar completely down. If after all of that if you continue to get the message then your sensor is not sensing that it is down. That would require a service tech to repair.
Usually this happens when you are using an incorrect bobbin. Try another one? Preferably one that came with your machine or purchase new ones that your owner manual outlines as the correct bobbin. If it is not the fault of the bobbin, is the bobbin winder turning?? If it is not, you will need to take it in to a repair shop.
I hace a trouble whith my pe700...I turn it on, and when I have to press ok in the screen it doesn't do nothing... Just stay in that message and do no more... Help!! 😭🙏
Luis, If your machine is not responding to your touch on the screen, the LCD panel may need to be replaced. It should not be very costly....The part is not very expensive, but finding a technician to change it out may be difficult. Try the closest Brother dealer for a repair. Another option would be to purchase a very used model of your machine to use for parts and try the repair yourself.
@@zigzagsewingstudio9114 allright... ! i thougt it may be a memory fail or some sensor... so i'm gone to take your advice and take it to a brother dealer.... thanks very much!!
Could you please give me a reason why my machine won't pick up the thread to make a stitch thank you

Can you oil the hoop cartridge?
Yes! The mechanism that carries the hoop has screws in the bottom. You can remove the casing and clean the interior of lint and thread and then oil along the shaft.
@Zig Zag Sewing Studio Everyone is saying to take to a technician. I have watched a video on the main machine but not the hoop cartridge. Thank you.
