@@anthonytaylor7928 No. It was a nightclub. It was a hole in the wall that was real popular with young Black people in Columbus for a long time. And, I remember them playing this song. There used to be a lot of really pretty women in there.
My parents, who met at Ohio State, used to go there in the late 1940s. I am not from Columbus but I stayed there briefly after undergrad and have family there.

The right wing media tries to make this place seem like a hell hole because we are a pro labor Democratic stronghold with a million Black people and a million Latinos. Do we have issues? Yes. But, Chicago is not even in the top 20 cities for violent crime per capita. There is a lot going on here but we are not stacked on top of each other like cities in the East.
All of the Great Lakes cities are similar (Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Toledo, Erie, Buffalo, Rochester, and Cleveland). They are different from other parts of the Midwest. Chicago is just the biggest one.
