Shower Repair - Trevi Therm MK1 Exposed 310 (Therm 310) & Parts

  • This video is to show how I repaired my shower by replacing a small part which costs less than £20. It is a small cog comprising two parts and it fails when the outer toothed ring begins to slip around the inner brass centre. The effect is that the water flow control knob continues to turn beyond the usual shut-off position and the water flow is harder to shut off completely.
This particular shower is an Ideal Standard Trevi Therm 300 but the process may apply to similar showers

Very useful video - thank you. I now need to find a way to recalibrate the thermostat cartridge on the other side

My issue is that the water is too hot and I believe that one of the two wheels got loose. Could it be?

Are you sure this works as the cartridges are behind them cog I have a problem with a shower which isn’t full turning off.

If the hot or cold cartridge is seized, the cogs strain and the white ring gear doesn't grip the brass centre anymore.
I replaced the valve and the gears/cogs. Check out my other post on this video. Best of luck 👍
