To me this color is a gorgeous shade of purple. I've always loved purple and I would like to try this. Thank you for the many color combo suggestions; I would not have thought of peach with purple but I love it. I would like to see this used in a bedroom. I also like the idea of a ceiling paint!
I painted my studio periwinkle a few weeks ago--Sherwin-Williams Breathtaking (SW6814). I didn't want white or gray...wanted something cheerful and uplifting. I really like it.
You forgot to mention Benjamin Moore - Lux, a beautiful dark and rich purple color. Going to use it on my fireplace instead of American clay and the like. It will be accompanied by Benjamin Moore Thunder on each side of fireplace!!!!
This color is spectacular as it's my favorite shade of purple. I call it Tanzanite purple, again, my favorite colored stone. Too many purples lean pink. Yuk! A bluish purple is perfection!
Periwinkle has been my absolute favorite color since I was a kid. It still is. I absolutely love Very Peri because it actually is periwinkle. So often when periwinkle is identified as the color shown in an article of clothing or home decor, it's not really periwinkle but some other shade of purple like lavender and even mauve. Even this year when the debut of the color was shown in fashion, almost none of the garments was actually periwinkle. Same with home decor examples. Not periwinkle either. So, I am grateful to Pantone for keeping the color purely peri and I will cheer for it every time. Everything else is an periwinkle imposter!
In Australia Resene makes a glorious purply blue called Hendrix. I chickened out on a whole wall but made a huge abstract artwork from it mixed with blue, green and metallics. Fell in love with purple in my pencil case on the first day of school but neutral walls are more relaxing to live with for me.
Shut the front door! No... seriously... the front door of my beach house is a periwinkle-ish blue purple that I had the pleasure of custom mixing with the help of "the paint guy" at Ace Hardware...( you know....Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man.) Anyway. My neighbors were asking when I was going to update my 1955ish home. So I painted the front door, slid into my flip-flops , and went to the beach. Update complete. VeriPeri looks like one of those colors with multiple personalities. Absolutely love it. oh ....the rest of the house...outside....is white. Looks a m a z i n g !
Lol. Ace is the place! It reminds me of Home Hardware (in Canada). My dad owned a store and their tagline back then was Home of the Handyman. ❤️ The tagline has changed now for obvious reasons. Lol But I agree… a Very Peri on a front door is my fave. :)
Where can I find the rug at 3:50? I love this color! Actually changed my mind on colors for my guest room when I saw Pantone's color. It's not "old lady dusty" or "teenager wild". I've just bought a little ranch house and am painting, flooring, changing lighting, etc. My colors are deep teal and navy. Yes, teal kitchen cabinets! But this color will go in that far room with the same gray flooring that's throughout the house. My plan is a rug, pillows, throw, and some damask stenciling on light gray walls. Accents! Yum!!
I love it. I have it in a settee and pillows in my Dining Room which is painted in Morrocan sky--which reminds me of a Mexican cartel mansion. It's gorgeous!
It's more blue than purple. Valspar has "Mystified" which is very dark blue with purple undertones as well. My mom put that on my son's dresser she refurbished but it still works with the Navy blues in his room and toys. I like SW "Sensuous Gray" I used it on my bathroom vanity with pink granite top, but I had SW tint it a few shades darker. (My bathroom is SW "Perfectly Polished" pallette) The vanity is more gray than purple though. I also love purple in churches like satin banners against a gray stone wall. It's a hard color to work with.
I love this color on its own. I find it's difficult to be combined, though, and look well in real life. As I love this color, I have many pieces of clothes in purple-blue. But it never looked good in any combination I tried.
It’s like a periwinkle kind of. And I have to say I have a friend that painted that colour back in late 1980s. Maybe more on the blue side but I remember vibrant but pretty. Striped couch was white and same colour as wall. And dark wood floors. Wood accents as I remember.
Pantone's Very Peri pitch" blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah" Design Chickee- blue-purple That is why I love Design Chickee Real words for real people.
Probably so. But it's not like you can purchase Very Peri. It's not a product. It's not a paint company. The whole idea behind a 'color of the year' is marketing.
Purple has always been my favorite!
Love it and loved the scandinavian blue
For many years I was in love with purple but recently I’ve been gravitating toward dark blue.
Thanks for watching and commenting!

Is it purple or blue? I don't know 🤣

Sounds great!

I am studying this video. So unexpected! Good combos.
Blue or purple to depends on lighting to me. I think I will bypass this color except in clothing. 😁
❤🤗
I agree. I think this colour in fashion is much more appealing!

I love this new color! I have to convince my hubby now .
Good luck! And thank you for watching!
My favorite color!! It is violet/periwinkle!

Love the sofa at 3:25, but as a wall color Very Peri seems Very Challenging to use successfully in interior design!
Very true! ;)

Love periwinkle hedging to blue violet!!! Also like SW dried lavendar for more subdued agree it is hard to find exactly the right shades.

That is why I love Design Chickee
Real words for real people.
Lol. Thank you and you’re welcome! :)
I have always believed that purple is for a teenager's bedroom. I guess it could work in a great room with the right accessories and furniture.
Purple
Pretty color but not my taste for decorating. But some of the rooms you showed were nice.
Thank you for watching and commenting! :)
Would love to like it! But no. Lilac is nice in nature and knits.
I have to agree!
New color ? So what’s the difference between this and periwinkle? I think it’s beautiful but the we created a new color is marketing
Probably so. But it's not like you can purchase Very Peri. It's not a product. It's not a paint company. The whole idea behind a 'color of the year' is marketing.
I hate this Color in decor no matter what sorry 😣
Yikes it's awful. I'll keep watching to see what you suggest re incorporating. I did go there once with a pre teen girls bedroom in the 2000s.
To me very peri Is more Blue, i like all kind of Blue, lavender, purple and mauve, not this fake.
Very Peri is purplish blue 😂
Nice one! Thanks for watching!!
I think Pantone lost their minds this year! It'a ridiculous!
Last year they picked gray and yellow! It was hazardous! 😂
💯
