Wow, I cannot believe that I actually programmed my remote! My remote broke and I found this remote in the junk drawer - without instructions. So, I followed your instructions and guessed at the number of clicks it would take and viola! The garage door opens and closes now with ease. Dude, this worked great. I just installed a new Chamberlain Garage Door opener and it came with two remotes. I have three cars. I purchased a Chamberlain Remote a few years ago and threw the instructions away. Your video was perfect and it worked for me. Great video.

I changed the logic board for only $76 thats including shipping. EASY do it yourself. I was quoted just to look at it 160 bucks. Logic board $200. That's not including labor. Five minutes to install. lol couldn't figure out to program my opener. THANKS FOR VID

Thanks for the video. My garage door randomly decided to freak out the other day and dropped the code. In trying to remember how to reprogram it, I managed to mess up the connection to the other door too. I know I have the directions some place but I couldn't find them. With your video, I was easily able to reprogram both of them in a couple of minutes. I have a 25 yo lift master and a 5 yo chamberlain and both took 3 clicks of the button to program. For anyone setting it up for the first time, I think I had to set a few of the dip switches when I first got it because it was doing odd things. So I'd look up those if you're seeing some weird behavior. In case it helps anyone, mine are set to 2, 7, 10, 11, 12 ON, all the rest off.

OK...I have a big problem. The garage opener I have is a Sears Craftsman 1/2 HP device that doesn't have a smart button on it anywhere. I got a ladder and looked all around it and it doesn't have a smart button. There is a smart button on the remote device, but not on the actual opener machine. So how does one program the remote to a machine without a smart button? Help!

Is it possible to program a second door when utilizing the DIP switch option? I only see one set of DIP switches. Wouldn't I need a second set for door #2?
My remote does not program so easily and it is frustrating. Had it programmed and then it stopped opening one of my garages

What if you have multiple garage door openers for the same door, and need to reprogram all of them?
I have a Chamberlain 1983 model. Even programming with the dipswitch, I cannot get it to program. Unfortunately I tore up the packaging and tossed it. My second garage door opener is a non compatible brand.
Does this mean that you can install an electric remote garage door opener to a garage that has already been built with a manual door please?

Can you open it if so It might be the sensors on the bottom of the door.
