Please watch this on a big screen (in 4K if possible) and then say again the 4K transfer has less detail... It has a ton more fine detail and fine grain. You really can't see it? Well this is embarrassing.
Detail-wise, it doesn't looks much better. The 4K doesn't have the filtering and DNR that the bluray had. The key seems to be the HDR for this release.
Sad to say I don't like either version. There are HD scenes where the brightness is so high that you can hardly see the characters at times. In the 4k version the resolution looks the same as the HD except sometimes worse, and the HDR I would describe as dim and overall terrible.
