are you keeping the drain holes open, knowing now that they were drain holes? Also, I am wondering what tire pressure did you have the tires at for your test rides. I am also wondering how noisy is the electric motor compared to other electric motor scooters and electric bicycles.
I'm just about 68. I have a side by side, a dirt bike, a fat tire ebike. I bought youngest Gson a 12"wheel kick scooter and myself a 10" escooter. I've enjoyed myself so much I bought this VE1Pro and cant stay off it. It's fun riding to the breweries here. My wife is 65 and wants a VE1 now.
by far the most aesthetic pleasing scooters you have reviewed. I love the big wheels looks like it could handle any terrain you throw at it with ease. JP i was looking at varla did you see the eagle one pro 45 mph wow!!! I could not imagine going that fast on a scooter!!
On the vents in the side , my guess there either to vent gasses from the batteries or for heat . I am not sure if pluging them with silicon is a good idea . You might want to ask the people that made it .
I spoke with hiboy and they said they are drain holes for when water gets inside. I dont think water going inside would be good. But the choice is yours.
Looks like a good product Jay. I like the larger tires to smooth-out different types of terrain and looks very capable. There may be one in the near future for me. 👍
That’s a very cool scooter! I like the bigger tires on it 👍🏻 Now they need to make it with an optional seat lol 😁 Thanks for your awesome review JP!! ✌🏻💜
Wow just wow that was an amazing video you could do this I cannot wait for the next review with the unboxing instructions to put it together very detailed you did an amazing job doing this JP in the writing I could just imagine how fun it is writing that I wish I could get one for myself but with my conditions I don't think it will be possible but I will be sharing this link thank you again JP and I will see you in your next video
That scooter is awesome!!! That seems a much better option for gravel trails and such. It would do well in Lehigh Gorge for you. Nice review, and I'm glad to hear the larger tire size compensates for the lack of suspension. I saw an Amish guy riding a silver Amish kick scooter past the railroad parking lot entrance the other day. Weirdly I still want one of those even though they don't have electric power. I always enjoyed scooters.
Great review! I also have a Hiboy S2 Pro and it would be a painful experience riding on that kind of unpaved trail. There are several things I'm wondering about that I hope you can address. 1. It looks like it has a very large light. Have you ridden it at night at top speed? If so, do you feel that the light projects out far enough? 2. There was no mention of cruise control. Does it work like other Hiboy scooters; if you maintain the throttle in a constant position for about 5 seconds, it double-beeps at you, allowing you to release the throttle and maintain a constant speed? 3. Where does the charger plug into the scooter? 4. Is there a Bluetooth app that goes with it? 5. Do you feel like the kick stand is firm and easy to get to? The Hiboy S2 Pro kickstand is kind of tricky to extend as it's somewhat tucked up under the deck. Thanks!
I dont typically ride at night. The light is brighter and shines further than the s2 pro, but doesn't turn with the wheel. The charging port is on the rear side of the deck. There is cruise control and as far as I know, it doesn't connect to the app. The kickstand is better on this one. I also recommend checking out my latest hiboy scooter review of the Max Pro.
You asked, I shall give you my opinion. I liked the Pegasus best. Mainly because it's blue, of course, but it seemed to ride smoother than the HiBoy Pro. Just from watching the video you seemed to be more bouncy on the HiBoy Pro. And I would be afraid of blowing a tire while you are riding it. Had that happen on a bicycle when I was a kid. Not fun. Thank you for sharing this video with us and taking us for a ride!
Awesome review JP and it looks like a fun scooter! Any of the scooters that you have shown have their pros and cons and they are all great. I think my favorite is still the Hiboy S2 because of the seat feature. Thank you, great video!
That gravel path would be absolutely no fun on my S2 Pro. Fortunately, I only ride it on well-paved surfaces. Even a 1-inch curb is bone jarring on the S2 Pro. I'm thinking about, maybe, getting a second scooter for when I'm planning to be on rougher surfaces.
Very good presentation as usual. Unfortunately I have neuropathy feet and would need a scooter with a seat as you reviewed. Otherwise it appears like a very good scooter.
Thanks for the vid! Hey I hope you're ok with the question, but I'm contemplating starting a RUclips channel and so I was curious if your channel is monetized and if so in the ballpark, how much does a channel around your size take in per month? Thank you so much:)
Just got the ECOM 14 with the seat. It's so cool. How do you feel about the batteries on these? Are they fairly safe? I feel nervous about storing in my basement. We do have a detached garage which I would prefer, but my guess is it would be too hot/cold in summer and winter for storage. How do you store yours?
Wish I was young again for so many reasons. 😔I see max weight load is 220 so that will keep you on your diet if you at 220 now right? Could those little holes be for a little air circulation? I like that scooter. Thanks and enjoy.
I have this same scooter. I am having a problem with the front brake caliper mount being off. The front brake pads only contact 2/3rds of their surface area whereas the rear pads contact all of the surface area to the rotor. . It is easy to see the by the wear marks on the rotors. Do you have this issue also? I have checked the caliper adapters and they have the correct size markings for their mounting location.
Really cool looking scooter and great video. I wonder if those holes aren't to do with cooling the battery. Might want to stay away from plugging the holes for warranty purposes. If water could get in the top or around the edge now it would be trapped.
Thanks for the video 👏. I was wondering if it has cruise control. That would be great. The dashboard reminds me of hover 1 type which I'm not a big fan of because of error messages that come with those type. I'll be following this one too see if it holds up. Who knows I might consider. I had the hiboy max and I sent back because one it was way to heavy and two the folding mechanism was hard to deal with being a commuter who gets on buses and trains. But it was pretty fast and very maneuverable so I did enjoy it to some degree.
My S2 pro vertical rod for handlebars just cracked completely off from the deck. Insane. Had I been riding with any speed and it would have been ugly. If Hiboy does the right thing and gives me a discount on another scooter, I think this would be it, but the air tires scare me seeing as I live in Queens and not sure where to buy new tires if I get a flat.
If you're within the warranty period they should replace the parts or entire scooter. As for the tires, all you need is 16 inch tubes and just replace that when you get a flat.
@@JPVideos81 it's just over a year old, so doubtful I am under warranty. I am hoping I can email the Hiboy support team with pictures of the catastrophic failure and how if it had happened on the street with any velocity, i could have been killed, they will offer a discount on this model.
Wow cool j.p. there's one thing i would want is a seat then my option be great anyway i do miss your lives is there future plans on any sorry i was just wandering great video. So many choices ...................
I had a piece of rubber between the area on the brakes where the front disk brake is supposed to slide into which was causing me problems installing the front wheel before i found it and took it out. Was that supposed to be there? Also anybody have trouole instelling the front light because the screws were jammed in there? I got it put together, but lots if random problems and directions werent exactly clear.
I really like this one but couple problems I would want a headlight on top and bottom and it's not fast enough for me lol..but onto thoes holes the reason there..there for air flow for the battery the batteries do got warm on them.thsts to cool the battery down I would not plug them but I do like this one of the frame and wide deck..how much does it cost..
Many riders mount a rechargeable light on the handlebars so they have extra lighting. Cooling is a good point, but I'm more concerned with water messing with the electronics.
Nice scooter but do it show battery voltage? The battery gauge is not accurate just like ebikes so you'll have to know the voltage to get a better estimate on how much battery you have left..
@@JPVideos81 I'll wait and see if they would update the computer I just can't trust those battery meters but still a good scooter tho..I like the fact you could repair a flat tire without having to remove the wheel that's a big plus..
Wow looks like a nice one I like the big wheels Hey JP question to the last video of Old a banded house with the motorcycles wondering are the motorcycles ! for sale ? someone I know is interested in them if they are for sale and will pays fair market value

So should we seal the holes or don’t worry about them sir??
@@bigdogkellz5120 I sealed the front ones, but if you don't ride through water much, I would let them go.

Great video, you are my size and I ordered one because of your video. Proffessional and no BS. Thanks for the heads up
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it.
Ordered 4 Friday and they will be here tomorrow! Looking forward to riding them! Thanks for the review🤙🏻
How are they?
They are fun, but just ordered the punk rider pro. I want more power/speed and some suspension!!
Looks like a top-notch scooter ..Love the " B- roll " shots ...looks like so much fun ! You did a great job narrating the product review : }
Seems like a great option for trails like this one. Thanks for stopping by to watch it.
That looks awesome also and I think I could even assemble it!! Thanks for sharing!! 💖💙💖💙💖💙
Bottom holes are for drainage. If you plug them up, you will turn the battery box into a bathtub when water comes in the top.

This scooter or the hi boy titan? Which is your best suggestion
I haven't reviewed or ridden the Titan to compare.
Maybe the holes on the bottom are there for air flow to cool the battery?

Mine is in my garage where the temp is regulated and I only charge when I'm home and immediately disconnect charger once it's fully charged.
Is the gear whine normal noise level? Sounds like the motor gears etc could use some extra grease.
Normal and operates the same as of today.
hi JP Again Brian
Hello
I am wondering if you could use this bike to play golf and pull a golf bag behind it.
My only question is how are the brakes? Thanks for the awesome review JP.
The front and rear mechanical disc brakes work fine. Had no trouble stopping me at full speed.
Wish I was young again for so many reasons. 😔I see max weight load is 220 so that will keep you on your diet if you at 220 now right? Could those little holes be for a little air circulation? I like that scooter. Thanks and enjoy.
Actually that is incorrect information. The scooter can handle 330 pound (150kg)
What's the max distance it can go? That's what I'm hoping that you managed to test. Great review btw.
It depends on rider size and terrain. Ive yet to get less than 15 miles for a rider my size (215lb). I imagine I get get 20.

@@JPVideos81 Would you mind explaining how to activate the cruise control? I watched the 10 second video from hiboy, but can't figure it out.
