- While Darrin's (Dick Sargent) mother (Mabel Albertson) is visiting, Tabitha (Erin Murphy) makes an antique doll magically fly across the room.
From Season 7 Episode 28 'Samantha and the Antique Doll' - Samantha allows Darrin's mother to think that she has magical powers. A fake séance cures her of this idea.

THANK YOU!
The fact that Sam allows her daughter AND son to play with dolls warms my heart.
Tabitha is my favourite because despite the rule of keeping the family secret. She is never ashamed of being herself. I love the fact that she embrace s both sides of herself. At times she could even rival the abilities of her mother.🏵️🌟
I love how Tabitha embraces her witch hertiage
@Ashania Pearleena18 Tabitha has yet to learn restraint and see the potential problems from exposing her abilities to the mortal world-salem witch trials.
@Ashania Pearleena18 According to a season 7 episode Tabitha is the first child born of a union between a witch and a mortal which makes her unique.
@Ashania Pearleena18 There's an interesting avenue the show could've explored but never did, that being the potential medical issues that may arise and the fact Dr Bombay has no medical precedent for treating a mortal/witch.
@Ashania Pearleena18 thank you for your time. I have a question to pose to you, what is your opinion of Darrin? what is your opinion of the original Darrin vs the second Darrin?
After witnessing the magic, Mrs. Stephens will have a sick headache and want a glass of sherry, lol.
True 😂😂
Yep - She's gonna say "Frank I think I have one of those sick headaches".
And a tranquilizer
Yes 🤣🤣
Just one glass? 😏
Elizabeth Montgomery's comedic facial expressions are classic.
These little scenes always make me smile.
Mrs Stephen’s eyebrows make me laugh, when she is shocked 😂
Love the face on Mrs Stephens and Sam. What a great show it was.
What a surprise to see an episode featuring Adam! I feel old yet honored to have seen this era of Bewitched in first runs. Also Erin Murphy was starting to become a little scene stealer (in the best way).
Who was Adam? I thought Tabitha was an only child.
@@maidahaltrecht6577 Adam was Tabitha's younger brother. He was a mortal child, not a warlock. (Jan Griffiths).
@@douglasgriffiths3534 actually no. In “Adam warlock or washout “ it’s proven he is a warlock
@@rmac113 Yep, you're right. I just watched the episode. I have the boxed DVD set. (Jan Griffiths).
@@douglasgriffiths3534 Actually, in the show, he was a warlock.
I love it when Sam said, in response to seeing the doll, "Oh, it's beautiful! Why, I haven't seen one of those since I ..." She stopped in mid-sentence. I wonder what she was going to say? 🙂
"I was a little girl" because Sam is close to 400yrs old
I like it how Samantha always calls her mother-in-law Mrs. Stephens. It's just funny.
I know. I always called my MIL Mom. (Jan Griffiths).
Weird just call her by her first name like she calls you.
Grandma Stevens taking those psychedelic pills 💊 again 😂
Eating funny mushrooms 🍄
Elizabeth loved to watch Mabel Albertson and Agnes Moorehead in scenes together, she would stand back and think "Lets just see how this turns out"
Wonderful Samantha and her children🥰by Tiziana,Italy🙋♀️
I think this the episode where Mrs Stephens thinks she has powers and turns Frank into a stubborn mule 🤣🤣
Elizabeth Montgomery was such a beautiful woman.
Poor Samantha, she knew the cat was now really out of the bag and it was going to take a really good explanation to get Mrs Stephens from going into wild speculating.
Tabitha was such a cute little girl!
Those bags are beautiful. Probably still didn’t decompose 😂
Samantha was like oh no what do I say to this
So funny how she calls her mother in law MRS. Stevens
Lol oh my goodness this scene looks familiar indeed!!! 😯😅🤣
Look at Sam's eyes!
Samantha looks demented with those eyes. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Yehhh…she’s high on something. It was the early 70’s, after all.
@@richparsons4205 What does it means it was the early '70???
@@CC-fm1hu This episode of Bewitched was in the last year of the Bewitched series, (the early 1970’s). The decade of the 70’s was replete with drugs experimentation.
@@richparsons4205 I wanted to say, why was Samantha drug addict ?🤣
Love it! ❤
Full episodes please - quit teasing
Can’t because of copyright laws.
Try Plixor, that's where I've been watching it, hopefully it is still available for viewing (haven't seen it in a couple of weeks though)
My mum said to me many year's ago why didn't they let Mrs Stephens on the secret of Samantha being a witch.the poor woman thought she was losing her mind at times, Samantha had a lot of patience with her. I remember one episode Mrs Stephens was running the family down to Serana, Serana was so put out she turned Mrs Stephens into a cat, for being catty.
"Cat Stephens" - haha. And right after Serena turns her into a cat, the cat dashes over the back of the sofa. If you pause there, you'll see that Serena turned her into a BOY cat.
I can't stand mrs stephens she is so annoying and stuck up
There was an episode that they told Phyllis about Samantha being a witch. However, the witches council disapproved of it and threatened to harm her if Samantha didn't fix it. Also they made it in that Samantha's powers would no longer work in front of mortals, with the exception of Darwin of course. The witches council was often cruel and immoral, but they didn't trust Phyllis to keep that secret.
Love it
More full length episodes pleeease?
Yes, I'm with you! :o)
full episodes of shows keep getting pulled from YT due to copyright issues. Meh.
Mrs. Stephens should have been told that Sam and Tabitha were witches! Samantha should have just done it. Mother in law would have choked on her crackers, i.e. fainted dead away, but it would have been funnier than all get out.
Yes, it would have been. Samantha should have told Louise, too.
I miss you elizabeth
Great clip but tighten up the editing with the end of the incidental music to the scene and then close it out with your Bewitched page
This episode was on the gacFamily Channel today, 3/7/22.
Toward the end of the series, Adam was in more scenes. Unfortunately, by then, the audience had mostly stopped watching the show.
Who was Adam? I thought Tabitha was an only child.
@@maidahaltrecht6577 No, Adam was Samantha and Darrin's son, and he was a warlock. He was born in season 6, and in season 8, we find out that he also possesses magical powers. Much of Bewitched's audience stopped watching the show during season 6 (possibly because of the change in the actors who played Darrin), so many people missed the development of the storyline during the last three seasons.
Darrin #2 is unwatchable perhaps hes the reason the ratings dipped
@@eijiniizuma6184 Dick Sargeant didn't have the acting range that Dick York had. And Dick York really did love Elizabeth Montgomery, which created a genuine chemistry between them. I wish Dick York had never hurt his back. I think we would have had a lot more good episodes. And did you know that William Asher actually wanted Dick Sargeant to play Darrin right from the beginning? I think that would have doomed the series.
@@BrylcreemBill The show wouldnt have lasted longer than a single season had Dick Sargent been the original Darrin he has negative charisma and chemistry with EM. his lack of emotion and cynicism doesnt play well at all.

@@mircat28 doing magic. her mom sanatha is that way too. and so is endera the grandma

Hola , podrían subir la serie en idioma español.por favor.😊
Growing up tabatha ‼️Lol
Elizabeth played Samantha so flat (to me) the last two seasons. She was animated and excitable in prior ones, I wonder if it was a conscious choice, or she was just over it at this point. Even in S6 when Dick Sargent came aboard she was more expressive.
I knew she was over it in season 8. But this is season 7 and she’s over it here, too.
Elizabeth wanted out after season five. This caused nervousness at the network level and at Screen Gems. She wanted to move on to other more dramatic roles. But Liz resigned with a pay increase and a 20% ownership in BEWITCHED.
After she pulled the plug after season eight (I think there were some more episodes to be done), she was still under contract. So that's when Liz started doing TV movies.
Bewitched had been renewed for a ninth season. Elizabeth seldom spoke of BEWITCHED for nearly twenty years. That ended in 1989 when she met with Herbie Pilato for his book THE BEWITCHED BOOK (retitled BEWITCHED FOREVER for later editions). The first question she asked him, "Why are you doing this?" He explained his love for the show, it's messages, and the love story. She agreed to talk about the show.
There's a two-part interview with Elizabeth here on YT done in the early 90s along with other interviews with her.
Now that's how to do a witchhanger err I mean cliffhanger!
Oh, lol.
I just realized sam was older than Darrin's mom XD
Tabitha really should have been taught not to use her magic in front of mortals, especially her mortal grandparents
when you are part of such a special, interesting family, you must learn the difference between the magic and mortal sides of your family. Tabitha and Adam are still a little too young for this. But when they get older, they will cherish being part of a magic and mortal family!
She was taught. She is an innocent little child. Samantha was always telling her not to use her witchcraft. She did it anyway. And justifyably so, with all the mean mortal kids she encountered. She was always being pushed around by somebody. She didn't really think about it around others. It was natural for her.
@@markgionet4337 It was natural for her, and this is exactly why Darrin needs to lighten up for his children and allow magic in the family and home. Darrin cannot keep his children out of the magical world forever, it is a part of them. Both Tabitha and Adam are both half-bloods(half magic, half mortal) and have a natural connection to both worlds. Darrin needs to accept this and allow his children access to both worlds-and to go off to a school of witchcraft to begin their magical education!
Darrin, especially in earlier seasons, was so obsessed with being a typical, normal, mortal family that Tabitha was almost completely discouraged from practicing her powers at all. They should've set a side time daily to get her use/practice/learn her natural born gifts rather then completely surpress them like Darrin wanted. He didn't want Tabitha learning/doing anything at all with witchcraft.
@@markgionet4337 Samantha warned Tabitha she wasn't allowed to perform witchcraft around Grandma Stephens however she was permitted to perform witchcraft with Grandmama Endora.
Samantha also told her age, somewhat. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh the Mrs. Stephens the video is referring to Darin’s mother. Now I get it. But the title still could have been Tabitha performs Magog in front of her grandma
LOL!!!
Tabitha should turn Mrs. Stephens into a cat. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Hi Harper. I'm curious about something. Why do you always put "From Ms. Harper Stacey" at the end of all your comments? We can see your name at the top.
@@KarenAlexandrite-aka-PinkRose I wondered the same. I've seen it a few times.
Darrin's mother often accused Sam of being an overly protective mother. What the heck is she? Sam and Darrin have been married for seven years. I think Sam knows what he likes, since she's been cooking for him and McMann & Tate's clients for that long with no complaints.. 😀 No wonder Endora has little use for Darrin's mother, while playing up to his father. Serena loves playing up to Larry.
What do they have in common? They don't like mortals. Sam told Darrin that once.
Serena warms up to Darrin after she has an encounter with one of Darrins 15th century ancestors
Will you STOP the ads in black on the screen? They are annoying and cause thumbs down.
I always thought they should have fessed up to being witches at that moment. I don't think Mrs.Stephens would have spilled the beans except maybe to her husband. (Jan Griffiths).
😄
I never did understand why they changed from her twitching to the fingers when she did a spell.
She got to a point that she hated it. A thing she did naturally when she was annoyed became intolerable to her. She hated to be asked to do it.
Samantha looks a bit evil at the end.
The look she gave Mrs. Stephens was kind of scary. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Oh, that was the age of thick, oily, colorful plastic bags. They keep forever. Which is maybe the exact reason we don't make them anymore...
Am I too late to adopt Tabitha?
Not really. If you can talk her into it, adult adoptions are actually perfectly legal. 😉

This was the 60s and these women grew up in a different era. They had zero issue with a little boy playing with a doll. So why do people freak out if a little boy wants to play with his sister's doll? This is a new problem that makes no sense.
I can't believe she called her mother in law Mrs Stevens instead of mother or mom.
I found it odd that Sam never calls her mom in law by anything but Mrs. Stephen's.
In South Italy still today It Is normal to call the mother and father in Law by their surname ti show respect.
I love Bewitched but way too much gaslighting.
I agree. Darrin's mother and the nosy neighbor, Gladys Kravitz were often gaslighted on some of these episodes. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
The only character I despised was mrs stephens ,couldn’t stand her then and can’t stand her.. loved when Sams family pranked her ,even funnier when Tabitha used her magic around her.
