    Hi, thanks for your video tutorial, very useful for the begainner. If we could make it slower when you key in the parameter/ setting or order, that will be great.

    I am modeling piled embankment with geogrid reinforcement. I used plate elements as pile wall in 2d plane strain, and I used volume element for the top 0.5m as pile head. The vertical stress distribution should be concentrated at the top of pile heads, but as a result, the stress is concentrated at the joins between the pile head and plate pile wall. How to make the connection between the pile and pile head be rigid? and get stress concentrated directly on pile head? Thank you!

      Surface at bottom was used to create interface at the bottom of the pile.

      There's no differences. It only indicates the side of the object you applied interfaces to.

      You need to check your Plaxis license type. Some functions is not available for a certain type of license.

    Can you help me please how can i simulate the load sharing between raft and piles in plaxis 3D piled raft foundation system... I know the method for this but it needs the normal stress on raft... My question is how i can get this value and it is location on the raft and do i use the maximum value of normal stress or the average?

    Hi sir, thank you for the very useful videos, I wanted to ask you, I modeled a raft pile foundation, (raft e and piles like element volume , but in the middle of pile I modeled dummy beams) I extracted the displacement load curve, now I would like to extract the displacement load curve of the single components i.e. of the raft and of the pile group, also as I would like to obtain the trend of the lateral and tip resistance with respect to the displacement of a each single pile, how can I do ?

    In stage construction part, In the second phase, you have not assigned the pile material. Kindly do so and check your results. Appreciate your video but make sure the process is correct,else it can be misleading.

    why negaitive interface, not positive? and for 2D, we generate the same interface?

    • @kyriakosn6172
      @kyriakosn6172 Год назад

      The role of the interface is to simulate the interaction between the surfaces of 2 different materials, i.e. the concrete slab and the soil in this case.
      Therefore there is no point in creating the interface above soil level, where there is no soil in contact with the footing.
