Let's chat about my journey to monetization with RUclips in 2022. It was my first year with monetization. How much did I end up making? What does RUclips pay for a channel like mine? Which videos were winners and which ones were stinkers? Where are my top earners? Let's find out today! I believe in transparency so it's important to recognize that I have been making content for over 2 years to get to this point and more than 100 videos before I hit the monetization milestone on RUclips. There were countless hours, days, and yes money that got put into making this channel what it is. My goal isn't profit, it's having fun, giving back, so just like others would pay to do a craft or Robbie on the side, I feel the same way about RUclips. But if you are looking to get into it in 2023? Know it's probably not going to happen overnight!

I would just add this thought:
“Making a difference in the lives of other individuals around the world…PRICELESS.” That is what you are doing, and I am sure is your main motivation. Thank you.

I just discovered your channel today, so apologies if you've already addressed this question.
Have you considered doing collabs with larger channels? Not only would it be fun with the right people and help raise awareness about whatever topics you choose to include, but could help grow your channel viewership.
A couple channels that come mind that are run by blind people:
    Molly Burke
    Matthew and Paul
(Come to think of it, Paul and Molly are originally Canadian, as well as blind.)
My favorite disabled and chronically ill creator for years has been Jessica Kellgren-Fozard. Some of her disabilities that you may relate to are chronic pain and EDS, and an ambulatory wheelchair user. She's blind in one eye but that doesn't seem to affect her as much as some of the other things.
All three of those channels focus on a variety of topics, but definitely have a focus on education and awareness raising in a lot of their content.

I always try to give a thumb up and a comment to help you with the algorithm. I always lived by the adage, "The man who loves his job never works a day in his life." - Confucius. I did a lot of things that I loved not for the pay but for the enjoyment and the sharing.

My pleasure. I had a few people commenting recently that I was clearly in it for the profit, or making piles of cash from RUclips and I should better spend my time elsewhere. So I thought I better go on the record and set things straight haha. So glad to have you in our little community. :)

Hi there, I've been using the no-jab more and more recently as I find it much easier with the impact prevention on my balance. As for balance issues, you may consider a white cane for obstacle avoidance and a standard walking cane in the other hand for mobility, although I could never manage that. Some also just use a combo mobility/white cane which does double duty as an ID cane and mobility cane. Hope that points you in the right direction :)

Thank you for talking about this. Then there is the fact that often the search literally works against you. People can put key words in and your vid may not even show up while others with larger subs get the views, i.e not allowing smaller channels grow even if they are just as good. If they are doing something that's already being done yt doesn't fairy allow them to compete. It's nuts. Some shorts we've done got a lovely 0 views, and you know that's yt. We reuploaded, changed the title and got a load more so no real logic. None. LOL. Sadly it is about making good vids in part but then the other part is luck of the draw, which does not feel fair. You're doing great, though, and so are we and it's just doing what you love when you feel like it and hopefully making some friends.

With all that work, how do you have time and energy to do whatever other work you do that brings in income?
From personal experience, I know that chronic pain and chronic illness are exhausting. And very expensive.

@@UnsightlyOpinions if the point is to get your message across to as many people as possible then yes you should post everywhere that’s possible you’re not diluting your message in any way you’re seeking a larger audience.
With the larger audience they will look for contact and other places, and I can ultimately grow the monetization channels as well, and allow you to possibly find other avenues to monetize with sponsors and others will look at all the platforms that you are posting to and consider this when they seek US has somebody they want you to support their products
