Thanks! I knew about the lockout mode but it takes more than 4 seconds for it to come out of it, which is how I ended up here watching this video! Saved me a trip back to Costco 😅😅

I'm having the same problem! I got one of the rings up, but I can not move the rings on the other two. SOMEBOSY PLEASE tell us what the trick is! I took it out of lock mode, but that didn't help.
Pull the top part of the flashlight up while holding the bottom half with your other hand or turn the top half counter clockwise and pull up at the same time while holding the bottom half with your other hand once you succeed in doing that there's collar ring and just pull that up...i hope this helps and don't worry there's no chance your going to separate the two, this flashlight is truly built tough 💪🏽

I got these from Costco today and I had a LOT of trouble getting that ring to slide up the first time.
