I’m reminded hearing this fresh new remix of what made them so special. They could sing and play at the very highest levels, no limitations whatsoever. But, what really separated them from their peers was an almost unimaginable gift for arrangement and production. The spaces in this song take ones breath away. No one else did this. The arrangement is more like a perfectly directed scene than almost anything heard in music of the time and they could do this over and over, filling an entire side of an album with one unique masterwork after another. I feel so fortunate to have been there to witness this mastery in real time.

Like so many have said, they should have hired you for the job. Thanks again. Awesome! Greetings from a Swedish fan.
Thank you very much for this nice comment. Giles and his crew have done a wonderful job with some of their restorations but I think they missed the mark by trying to remix The Beatles recordings as music is mixed to a younger crowd today. I'm not convinced that this can be done successfully. My efforts try to remix in the style of mixes that were done just a few years later in The Beatles era, mostly around the early 1970's when a few more multi-tracks were available to work with.
This is the way it sounds back in the early 70s played on JBL 15 inched speaker with horn and my Macintosh receiver and Phillips turntable. The Beatles were the best on great stereo equipment back then. It was magical, nothing like them, even today.
I've heard McCartney say in interviews that he was hurt not to be asked to sing the back up harmony and that John chose to overdub it himself. But listening to this separation of the parts it does sound like Paul on the second vocal. 😊❤
Paul's memory isn't the best ever; considering the 20 lifetimes jammed into his life it's understandable. I always took that quote as him saying John didn't ask him to sing the harmony live WITH him on the same mic like they did in the earlier days. Either way the supposed "debate " about whether it's Paul or John doing the harmony is baffling. It's McCartney singing 100%. Lennon didn't have that Fats Domino/Lady Madonna voice that McCartney has. I mean it's clear as day...
I think that was in reference to the keyboard part. Paul originally played it and John watched what he played. John later went back and did it again. That's the rumour I think.
Paul meant that he was reluctant to ask John in a way hey wouldn't have been before. Though McCartney did a lot of revision and arranging on this song. Seems to have slipped his mind that he did overdub his harmony vocal after all. Abbey Road was complete 6 weeks after John came in with the song so it's not surprising Paul didn't have long to internalize the experience!
Sounds good. One more thing you might consider doing is version where you insert the snare from one of the first two times it comes in, into the third time (about 2:40 ish). I think this was an oversight by Ringo and it has always sounded 'wrong' to me.
