    I have these, love the cushioning for running, much softer and bouncier than Blast+. Another super soft one I like for daily wear is Mizuno Wave Sky 8. I hope asics makes a trail running shoe with this foam.

      Oh wow, I have to try out that mizuno. What’s your current favorite for trail running?

      @@Doctor_Jay Depends on terrain, weather, and how my feet are feeling that day. A couple of months ago I would've said ASICS Fuji Lite 5 since it's lower drop and gets me closer to the ground without sacrificing too much forefoot cushioning, but now that the ground is frozen solid I appreciate the extra cushioning from my Trabuco Max 3 more. On direct ice metal studs are a must, VJ Sarva Frost 2 is my go-to there.

    I recently developed a bakers cyst and terrible groin pain after playing squash and pickle ball, same day. I'm afraid to play now. What are the best shoes for me to buy. Thank you.

      ASICS makes a shoe called gel dedicate, also these novablasts would be good!

    Trying to figure out what to take for boot camp where we are on our feet 12 hr+. Would you recommend these or new balance 1080 v14 ? I am 180 6”2 and have a mid height arch

      Hey Carlos! Thanks for your comment, may I ask what your boot camp is for? Regardless, 12 hours a day for weeks at a time sounds like you’ll require some durability. Really you can’t go wrong with either shoe, but I personally would go with the 1080 V 14 since they have longer tested durability right now. I havent worn the blast 5 long enough to
      Know if it stands the test of time. Check
      Out my review on V14 if you can. You can order them right through the link in my video if you need help finding them!

    How does this compare to the 1080v12-v14? And the Saucony Hurricane 24. I’m a doctor too and I would want to run and use these in the clinic

    • @Doctor_Jay
      @Doctor_Jay  13 дней назад +1

      Hey Andre! Thanks for your comment! I think these shoes are a step above the 1080s in terms of cushion and comfort. However, I am currently wearing my V12s while writing this comment, they are a very durable shoe and still super comfortable. I can’t speak on the durability of the novablast yet because I’ve had them only for a few days. I’d try both out if u can.

      @ Thanks, doc! My 1080V12s are still in good shape but I can’t run in them since they’re too wide in the forefoot. Would love to have these or the 1080v14s or the Hurricane 24s as the replacement as my go-to clinic shoe and my easy day shoe paired with the Boston 12 for tempo runs.

    Is the novablast 5 good for metatarsalgia?

    • @Doctor_Jay
      @Doctor_Jay  15 дней назад +1

      Should be good yes. A shoe with good cushion and wider size is usually good for it. Wider size allows your metatarsal to not squeeze into each other. Extra padding at the metatarsals from a custom orthotic or custom pad made by a podiatrist like myself also help this.

    Got my pair yesterday to start taking running seriously. I was working retail recently and was wearing the Nimbus 26, and had really bad plantar fasciitis. The shoes didnt cause it, but I feel like the novablast 5s would have been better for my feet than the Nimbus 26, they're so soft but dont bottom out

    • @Doctor_Jay
      @Doctor_Jay  14 дней назад +1

      Aweseome!! I actually just got the nimbus 26. Do you think I should compare them
      Head to head in a video? Sounds like you’d pick the novablast any day over them

    • @GTR00016
      @GTR00016 14 дней назад +1

      @Doctor_Jay I have limited experience with the Novablast 5, having just gotten them, but so far I'd pick the NB5. I did preorder the Nimbus 27 for my recovery runs, as I heard they softened the foam. The foam in the 26 always felt a little too firm for my liking
