Extremely intelligent. He continued to learn new tricks even at the age of 10.
He lived 23 years. Yes, 23 human years.
All poodles / dogs are different.
However up keep on brushing and cutting are more for poodles.
They have sensitive skin tried multiple groomers but they always ended up nicking or rubbing him sore. So I learned to do it myself. Honestly not as hard as you’d think.
Enjoy your puppy! Love him and hold him tight. The time we get is never enough.
I have been the ‘Mum’ of 3 toys in25 yrs. and I would not ever want another breed!! Smart, sociable, and soooo loving- it’s in their DNA❤️❤️

she’s so cute, my parents would never let me get a dog but i still like watching random videos on how to take care of them lol.
We have a mini poodle, almost identical traits to Zuko. She is 4 now, still very puppy like, which is great but as you say she needs almost constant stimulation either mental or physical, she's not fussy which. She loves wildlife TV programmes, which is handy to get some peace in the evenings.
We have two Collies in her waking group, and she is way cleaver than both of them, even their owners have noticed. She is so alert we almost do not need to use a lead, we have no fencing between us and our neighbours, we only had to tell here twice not to go into their gardens, now she only goes in if they call her, usually with her ball to try and get them to play.

I have a miniature poodle who’s 13 1/2 he travels the world with me and thank god im a freelance makeup artist and can take him with me everywhere.
I love him so much and have such a connection to poodles ingeneral they are amazing dogs.
First I thought after donny I won’t get another dog because it feels like he’s the love of my life and no dog after will ever compare. But at the same time I can’t imagine being without a dog.
Any experience with owning a dog and getting a second one after that dog passed?
Well right now we are enjoying time together and he is still so fit and healthy- he will break the record of oldest dog- I’m sure ;)

Jennifer, I soo agree with you. Poodles are such good dogs. They are such people dogs. They totally love their person. I have 3 minature poodles. It's so much fun having more than one. I understand your schedule. I'm home so I can give them the attention they need. 🐩 🐩

I just took home our Toy Poodle x Bichon Frise named Sweetheart and she is just the best. Toy poodles are so affectionate, sweet and smart. What a price difference, Covid price we paid is $6500, its doubled. We are lucky that the breeder has done the toilet training and basic commands before we took her home.

you can use softer, plastic brush to avoid pulling their hair. The metal brush is for making the brushed hair more “foamy” and shiny. ❤️

I have a mini poodle and I love him.
My dark brown mini poodle, Winston so soooo naughty. He thinks he is the king of the world. Unfortunately, we got him 2 months before COVID hit, so he is not very used to other people other than his mommy & daddy. Because of that, he barks a lot at strangers. For a breed that is usually very playful and friendly to people, this makes us sad. But we have learned to respect his boundaries and not push his thresh of comfort. Fortunately, he loves dogs of all sorts of breeds and sizes sooo much.
It was very easy to toilet train him as well. Pee pads for 2 weeks. When we took out the pee pads, he never peed and pooed inside. 💝💝💝 No separation anxiety, just sleeps through the day when we are at work. 🌼🌼🌼

Constantly pulling things out of his mouth, even though he has plenty of chew toys of his own! But he’s such a little cuddler, I love him to pieces.
Once you have finished brushing, you comb through with a metal comb to make sure there are no mat left. Very important!

Expensive. Here in the Philippines they're like $200-$400 US only. But then maybe because we are third world. And they are the smartest, sweetest, and inexpensive to feed. Responsive and loving too.♥️ I got two(mini)

They are not really suitable for very young children as they are quite small as a pup and have delicate bones and need to be handled carefully ..young children don't always understand gentle xx

I know this is a weird question but i found a puppy poodle(i think, he have curly fur) and he dirty and was wearing a puppy shirt and he was small.

I have a registered toy poodle, they are from 4-7 bl. Max. No more than 10inc tall; yours looks like it could be a mixture of miniature and toy.

What should you do with the puppy when you go to work?
You wash them once every fortnight, and that’s different from what I know. I wanted to ask your basis for this? And how do u know if he needs to be washed? Doesn’t he get dirty or clumpy? I read somewhere that dogs that don’t get washed too often can have final infections. Thank u for a response
What shampoo and brush do you use for Zuko? Would you mind posting the products you use on him. I will be getting my puppy next weekend. Do you use a regular toothbrush to brush his teeth, any paste to go along with the cleaning?
