@Google Sucks I actually found Arthur through MG videos lolol. In my mind they are two sides of the same coin, one having more emphasis on power and precision (Garstka) with Hnatek being a bit more jazz/improvisational oriented and generally having a lighter touch. They both have an intimate understanding of time, subdivisions and they are both god-tier in my book.
@@JeffPenaify That’s the transparency part. Some people might think this was done in one take (I wouldn’t put it past Arthur, as he is a fantastic drummer). What makes it so special is that Arthur documented the recording process and clearly shows that doing it in one take isn’t always necessary.
I love this. studios are really hard to capture the experiences you have inside of them and this is pretty good for that. plus its awesome drumming and sounded really good

I’m assuming it’s because of how crazy hard this piece is and it’s impressive af that he did this at all. So doing it in 1 take with absolutely no mistakes would be so many times harder.
Klyrics he said in the description that he didn’t film the overdub recording and on the video, that what you hearing at this part is probably an overdub take.
