So amazing to be watching this go through all its phases (so far). Getting to see it start from just a fissure, and the watching how it keeps building up structures. Don't usually get to see these things in the making 😊❤
Don't forget to mention that smoke came from BOB immediately afterwards and a little lava on top of that . Maybe some more changes will happen this WE.
The subsequent episode began at 09:19:10, but at 09:20:04, a new vent opened in the crater wall, and the lava fountains from the central vent then did not get significantly higher than the crater rim. So it seems that the new vent allows the pressure to be released continuously. Perhaps the violence of this event led to the formation of the new opening. It is really amazing to watch this evolution.
@@The20027 This will likely form a shield volcano over the coming months/years. Which means its altitude will eventually be high enough for the lava streams to reach populated areas. So yes, it can definitely have an effect on people and animals.

@@Levo42691. I'm sure she meant exactly what she said, and her post makes more sense than yours. Volcanoes have been erupting all over the planet for umpteen millions of years. How come you think that this one is any different?
In 1783 another fissure volcano on Iceland called Laki erupted. It was shooting lava fountains as high as 1,400m. This eruption was so large that it altered weather pasterns all over the globe, causing famines in Europe, Northen Africa, and even India. The Mississippi river froze as far south as New Orleans, and many historians credit that volcano and the resultant famine as a key component to the start of the French Revolution.
@@smashexentertainment676 Are yall the ones that use dams and pumps to kick the free loading ocean off of your new land? If so, just build a mountain. That seems totally within your wheelhouse.
Can someone give us an accurate measure of how high the crater walls are now? The height of the ejecta from the first shown fountain is at least 2 and a half times the height of the crater rim. I've heard estimates of the rim to be 200 meters. That would make this display at least 500 meters ( or about 1650 feet) high.
Seriously doubt it's that high but until there's some scientific study/measurement it's all anyones guess which I think these claims are...pure guesswork.
@Wreck and Carey It's already preserved. Think about it. I'm dun here as it really isn't important accidentally stumbling on someone's arrogance that she can show better than nature. I had to say sumthin. All the best.
Nar was the most impressive volcanos of late, massive out flows, such a large scale eruption filling whole valleys.was the most interesting by far,I followed it daily.
Is this a sound overlay? It vaguely sounds volcanic/seismic, but the volume level and timing don't match up with the visual events. It actually sounds like a heavily distorted audio on loop. I've seen other live reports and it sounds nothing like this, and I've watched other vids and livestreams with VERY similar sounding audio. Same loop cut, too.
All these changes in activity tend to support my conjecture that volcanoes don't change by small percentages but rather by exponential changes, e.g., by 2X, 4X, 8X, ... or 1/2, 1/4, ... and that's what makes them so unpredictable and dangerous. This volcano started out distributed and rather gentle lava flow that draw crowds to see it up close -- but look at it now, a single dominant vent erupting violently! Be warned, at any moment it could become much bigger and more violent - and it probably will. I would not like to be anywhere near it when it blows.
Um....I don't know if anyone is noticing this but. I get the feeling the pressure is getting higher on that volcano. When will the pressure get too high? And then...pop! Not just a small oozing vent.
Would love to see that.. Live in South Africa on a small farm.. That would be my dream come. True.. Enjoy and appriacte every moment those of you you get to see it live

Love how it goes up as molten rock and fall back down as solid.
I noticed that to.
Still landing as molten rock, you can tell where it lands because its still glowing orange-red.

This is so amazing! Thank you for keeping all of these online. I have been enjoying looking back at all your videos!
It’s so fascinating how it builds up.
Looking for a time lapse.....
That's what she said.
Definitely the strongest and highest burst we have seen.
And soon after that the pulsing stopped, only constant flowing now.
Nearing the end maybe?
Don't forget to mention that smoke came from BOB immediately afterwards and a little lava on top of that .

Sorry, they tell me there was another small earthquake and RAG-NAR returned to pulsing again.
True
Back to bursting as of today!

Holy geysers, Batman!! That was epic! And now Bob is back? This is better than any reality show ever. :D
I love how the darker cooling lava, combined with the blue of the sky, gives certain parts of the fountain a purple/pink tint.
What a stunning volcanoe!

Wow, we can’t even see the very top of it because the camera angle didn’t go that high up! Impressive!
Impressive lava fountain, the biggest I've seen so far
It's surprising to me how quiet it is for being so visually spectacular.
the effect of molten rock getting darker and colder in the air, so amazing
I bet that's a spectacular thing to witness in real life, over a thousand foot high hot glowing orange geezer, fascinating
You mean geyser 😂 ….. if I saw a geezer that big made of lava I’d think that the Marvel comics had come to life 😅😂😂 🌋👍🏻😷
It’s amazing how much this looks like red water.

This is badass! Thanks for providing such fascinating footage!!!
AWE-SOME!!! Some of it may be coming back down as small pebbles, I would imagine. Amazing sight 👍👍
I am going to attempt to paint an eruption with watercolor. The colors are amazing.
Why paint when nature paints?

Man, the amount of pressure required to throw _that_ much molten rock _that high_ and for that long is just staggering.
There must be a magma chamber very near the surface.

Honestly, I have a lot of trouble imagining a volcano spewing lava over 1000 feet into the air. It literally looks like a water geyser but lava.
That is lot of pressure 😳
Probably like landscapes on the Earth a few billion years ago!
yes, except much smaller and much fewer.
