@Da Real Killa Kotik Chickatilla Based on what I've seen of him, he's really lonely (romantically), and by talking about other's love, he compensates for it. I could be wrong but as I'm single all my life, hearing about love, makes me hopeful too.
"Sometimes, love is a 6-way plug". That is a key quote in this entire podcast. Life is short, and the one thing we could all hope to find as humans, is someone that understands us to the point to where no one else outside would understand us. That is when you know, you are living at the pinnacle of life regaurdless of your personal successes, or your wealth.
I have been chomping at the bit for this episode! I love Dr. Feldman Barrett! She's such a cool person and love exposing my daughter to such brilliant woman. Which coincidently, today is her birthday and looking forward to sharing this episode with her!
i very much enjoyed getting to know Lisa. I would really appreciate hearing more kinds of conversations in this vein. It's nice to hear from a very intelligent woman and see how they express themselves semi casual conversationally. It's very rare and I am grateful. Take care
I absolutely adore how much genuine information I can get on recent events like the virus and election news off lex and rogan. Way better than the industrial media complex imo.

Absolutely love her, thank you for having Lisa on again. I enjoyed your first conversation profusely and watched the Huberman/LFB on Instagram as well (and will be devouring her new book soon). As per tradition, you were able to have a totally unique conversation with her, as you do with all of your guests. Thank you for hitting it out of the park every time you step up to the plate.
Hey Lex, just watched your show with Lisa Barrett. It was pleasant with a good comfortable flow, like two old friend’s catching up. Interesting switch from your other guest.::Hoping you have her on again soon. Loved your thoughts about relationships, breaking up and Vegas! Lex, I hope you never change! Your such a welcomed change giving your viewers a great variety in entertainment selection. It’s really nice to see a person who’s not afraid to be his true self. It’s making you one popular dude, stand strong, your the best!
This second interview with Lisa Feldman Barrett was thoroughly enjoyable and educational.. I love your style of questioning, Lex Nobody else is showcasing these types of conversations with scientists.
Hi Lex, just wanted to let you know I really enjoy your conversations. Before I never really listened to a podcast, but yours captivated me by both their great guests and some of your personal convictions that shine through regarding love and empathy since they reflect my own. It's very wholesome to have these topics discussed by people of large intelligence in so many different fields. Keep up your great work and thank you for sharing!
lex back at it again i feel weridly addicted to these podcast or maybe its just a youtube addiction haha regardless amazing convo as always, all the best lex and lisa
Both Lex and Lisa were trained within universities. That does not represent all they are or all their knowledge but university can be a great place for training in your chosen field. You get to meet many professors, almost all of which are deep experts in their field. Moreover, both conducted their research within a university. Years of research and reading changes you in ways that are hard to predict.
@@Jacob_A_OBrien great professors and conducting research 😅😅 not in india bro.The professors come and read their ppt and that's about it and research is absolutely 0.
Brilliant Conversation Lex fridman and Lisa Feldman ; on fascinating topics of the senses and perceptions that are always a phenomenon worthy to explore.
I enjoyed this conversation. I didn't really expect to listen to a love story on Valentine's Day. I feel a bittersweet feeling listening to this. I think that I've closed myself off from finding love anymore. But, it was a really sweet love story. I felt it. I hope that all of Lex's dreams come true. He's a special guy.
Another great podcast Mr Fridman. Lisa Feldman Barrett is a great guest. Love listening to you both, you really bring the best out in people. Your questions are great, I guess your genuine interest and feedback bring out great responses from your guests.
2:15 just listen to the lengths she went to to find a husband after she had secured her career (!) and was already divorced once (!) - and then, after how many (?) failures / fallen through candidates she is finding the man who she’s plunging into multiple hour long conversations with (>20h/ “equivalent to five dates”), meets him in person, introduces him to her friends and then still denies “love at first sight” - (Lex is our hero and is saving my day / my world model by being insistent here until she comes up with “The rock and the ocean” / Maine in December story.) 20:56 The rock and the ocean (- and a bit of prelude of “I feel like I’m falling in love with you”) 23:20 still no love at first sight? “Well... the brain is a predictive organ... - it’s filling in all of the gaps.” But isn’t that what love is? 24:38 always see the best in each other 24:58 when you find somebody who not just appreciates your faults but loves you for them, maybe even doesn’t see them as a fault 26:01 “the optimal margin of illusion” / “When someone says ‘You’re not who I thought you were!’ - Well, whose fault is that?!” 28:48 does knowing how the sausage is made distract from the experience / make it less magical? vs Babies in the park 32:19 The two rooms (- Lex answering his own question differently than Lisa)
First off Lex you are great! Your conversations are intriguing and compelling. You offer a very unique and valued perspective on various subjects in life and gave me the best fashion tip I've ever received. Now I have to decide what suit to buy 7 of, along with a great option for my nutritional needs as I do plan on at least trying athletic greens.

Last year I found your podcast and now I can't live without it. Such a thought provoking show 🤔 love it. ❤️❤❤ I'm about to have 20 years of marriage. LOVE is the answer
I wonder if Lex reads the comments 🤔 This conversation is great! You can tell Lex has been honing his conversational skills. He seems more calm and balanced, in turn the conversations flow. Nice!
This reminds me of one of his appearances in Joe Rogan when they had only been in conversation for about five minutes and then Joe says “you’re a romantic guy, you should get married.” And he’s right. And whoever it is whenever that happens, is a lucky person, whoever has him as a friend even, is a lucky person. The same for Lisa. Great people. They inspire me.
I enjoyed this interview. I do say it's quite easy to make a girl happy. Really liked the wall plug gift share. I also appreciate the wording of people lying to themselves in front of you. Thank you Lex and Lisa.
