Goal planning just suddenly makes sense to me now, and I am also going back to having a health planner to track meals, water, etc., because I do much better when I am accountable, and I have lots of washi and stickers already in my stash to use up. Great video!
I love watching your videos. Your honesty is refreshing and I learn so many great tips watching you. Thank you and please don’t ever stop creating videos!
I love the B6 size. I have been using the B6 Aura Estelle Daily Classic and love it but purchased the Sterling Ink half year in mauve. I missed the weekly view with hours and being able to write in appointments ahead of time without having to plan the week first.
Omg! We must stop this planner madness! Just last month, I came to a breaking point as I was juggling multiple planners. I looked around my craft room, realizing that I’ve purchased so many planners, stickers and tools that I only have a tiny space remaining to put my body in and actually do some creating. I was angry, embarrassed. I boxed most all of it up into plastic storage bins and labeled. Took to the basement. I just needed to start fresh and get a grip on this. I allowed myself one functional planner, one decorative planner (and still reluctant to even allow myself to do anymore decorating paper pages)! It’s insane. I went totally in a new direction…. PERSONAL RINGS. I have never really been a rings gal, but I wanted something portable, I wanted pen and paper only for now, a few stickers, a Moterm luxe cover. Set it up and to my surprise, I am really getting things done and loving the simplicity. I don’t need to save my tasks and to do lists to archive. I had to really dig deep and ask myself why? I journal in a Hobonichi and document life….I do NOT need to archive pretty pages with to do lists written on them! It’s fun, I know…. But it’s also getting seriously scary for me. Try the personal rings! Love your videos!
I can identify with your revelation. There comes a point when you realize there will always be pretty or functional planner things but you don't need to buy them all. Sometimes you just need to start over from scratch. Congratulations! It's so hard not to want all the things.
Becky I always appreciate your videos and a good chat with us! It really seems you've found what is going to work for you in 2023! I appreciate You breaking down your list with us as I truly need to create a goals list for my daily life, health and planner needs as well. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for you! I mean it your videos have gotten me through some ruff planner and emotional times and I will be forever grateful for you!! I'm so Happy to hear you're doing so great, that makes my heart so very happy Becky! 💖🥰💕🤗 I'm definitely looking forward to more Amazing videos to come and to see what 2023 holds for us all!! Big hugs 🤗 to you my dear friend!! 💕😊💜😍💕 Keep doing what your doing... You are Amazingly Wonderful!!! 💕💗❤💗💕
Hi Becky! I will be referencing this videos often. You gave a lot of good information that I need, all of what I have not been doing. I have just been winging it. I need to plan out what all I need to go in a planner. I have been printing pages that I think I want to go in my planner. Thank you so much for breaking down everything. I have been thinking of going from a Personal wide rings to a B6 rings. Hopefully I decide by 2023 if I want to change it up. I have used a B6 TN, then went to rings, don't know why I didn't just go to a B6 rings. Thanks for sharing! Vickie
This was an amazingly helpful video for me. Like you, I got bored of my long time friend b6 stalogy and went into standard but I did printable inserts and stuck them in a standard tn so I could test it out. It’s how I began planning but wanted a change to b6. Thanks to your video I have an idea as to how to figure out everything and hopefully not feel so confused or overwhelmed….maybe lol
I love your videos ❤ after watching this (the first time lol) I decided to stick with an A6 cafe notes by Nanami Seas because 1) that size is perfect for me at this stage in life, and 2) I really really hate bigger grid sizes lol if I could find a 3mm I would be all over it, and 3) I get bored so easily that having a blank grid to work with means I can try different layouts every week while still fitting everything in it (it’s my only planner - the other notebooks are journal-type). Thanks again for this!
I also bought the B6 full yr from sterling ink. She knocked it outta the park. So minimal and functional.. can't wait to get mine and can't wait to see how you set yours up. As always great video. Enjoy them all. ❤️
I do my budgeting in my weeks by printing off my spreadsheet per month and then sticking it in the notes pages. You could maybe add it to your funx weeks as it is a planner you are in often it means you can check in on your finances regularly
This was a great video. Very interesting to hear your thoughts on how to figure out what you want from your planner. I’ve not planned for 3 months as I changed jobs and haven’t got myself into any sort of rhythm yet. Thinking of going back to Weeks but still love my Stalogy. So stuck for now.🤷🏼♀️
i gasped when you said personal rings. LOL i got a cheap less than 10 binder on amazon and messed around with it before committing to a moterm. i've found planner peace by using a combo of pocket rings and personal rings. i switch to a different size when i get bored or need that size, and print out a different weekly, daily, monthly, etc layout and move on with my life, rather than feeling sad over my planner no longer working for me. lol
I’ve realized that I am a one planner gal. I need everything in one place, but I haven’t found a planner that is small and portable while also giving me enough space to write and decorate. I ordered the Sterling Ink planner, but it won’t fit all of the 1.5” stickers I’ve bought so I feel like I need a second planner to “pretty plan.” Finding the perfect planner is absolutely impossible!
thank you so much for this video, I have picked and got my planners that I am going to use in 2023 ... now I am having a little bit of regret on them, I did get only two... the first is an A6 stalogy full year; the reason why I got that planner is due to the cover that I go from hobonichia. I wanted to use that cover for next year. The second is the WEEKS planner from amazon, I had it before, it is undated and that is the one that I was going to use for my EDC. The WEEKS planner is the one I am having regret with...However being as it is undated I think I will just save it for my 2024 planner and brake down and get the hobo weeks in English.
I was looking forward to this video, I love seeing where you are with your planning. I have ordered a Cousin this year and it'll be my third year with a Weeks, which I love. So glad you are feeling good just now x
really helpful thank you, im so looking forward to seeing your plan with me in the Sterling Ink planner, I am sticking with a Cousin for 2023 but might then change to the Sterling Ink one as it looks so well thought out, it came out after i ordered my 2023 cousin! The pretty pink planner looks great for ideas to put in my cousin though.
I use A6, B6 slim, and A5. I also have an April start Weeks and an undated dashboard Happy Planner. I have ordered an A5 Cousin Avec for 2023. I will probably order a Jibun Techo Biz next week. I have put the Jibun Techo Days and the A6 Hobonichi Techo Avec on a wishlist.
For the first time ever I found planner peace this year and have been using a Kinbor a5 daily and absolutely love it. I was fully intending to use the same planner again for next year, which should be arriving any day now. I have had a few mad weeks though and have ordered a Kinbor a6, aura Estelle a5, sterling ink b6 and a Stalogy cut down to Hobonichi weeks size 🤦♀️. All because of FOMO 😖
Great video. This is really helpful to anyone new to planning or anyone who don’t want to get caught up with every planner out there. Thank you. Super excited to the new planners for 2023. The Hobonichi cousin was too much for me and the weeks I like it but didn’t love it. I’ll use the A6 for edc and the happy planner for everything and a financial inserts for it too. I’m using B6 rings switching to A5 for oct-dec and the weeks is my edc.
I could have made this video! I have done exactly the same this year. I tried loads of different planners and sizes and convinced myself I would use them…I started them, then stopped. I started off in pocket rings and have come full circle back to pocket rings. I have found my planner peace 😊
So far I love my hobonichi cousin a5 and plan to get it in 2023. There are so many goals that I have. I’m doing the same thing, breaking things down to the week/day. Thanks for sharing! We will definitely be successful! ❤️
So far you and I are right on track! I’ve gotten a hobo weeks mega, and the sterling ink planner full year. I will have a blank notebook and a ring planner as well in my system. Loved the chat. Glad you’re well!! 💜
I ordered hobonichi weeks mega as my everyday and everything planner on the go for 2023, it is my second year using a hobonichi. I also got the cousin for the first time and I intend to make it into my daily diary/journal ( I really want to journal daily and the date pages will "force" me to do that and hopefully it becomes a habit) with some planning in it and then I got the day free in A5 for work bc I don't need dated daily pages for that. For me the weeks is just the best planner and it is the only planner I really continously used throughout the year.
This video is amazing! It was so helpful!! I keep trying to decide if I want the sterling ink or wonderland 222….honestly I need to find out if I missed the boat w the sterling ink. I didn’t preorder and thought it would be up for sale again in the next several weeks but I could be wrong 🤔 I’m not able to find the Pretty Pink Planner…could you post a link please? Thank you again for this video! Fantastic!
I have spent the past month or so deliberating on my system for next year. I feel really guilty when I buy a planer I don't click with, so I want to avoid that for next year. I've decided on just the Take A Note weekly vertical, an A6 Daily for to dos, and an A5 1 day/1 page book for a daily journal. The only downside is seeing all the pretty new Hobonichis and knowing that I have no use for them. Saying goodbye to my Cousin is bittersweet, but practically it is more than I need. Alas, haha!
I am aware of that planner I used it years ago. I love the weekly layout that’s in the cousin I just dont like the dated dailies. That’s why I have purchased the Sterling ink B6 one this year. X
I've been in the A5 Cousin this year and it is just too big for me. B6 is really my preferred size. I'm debating right now between the Wonderland 222 planner/notebook combo or the Sterling Ink one.
It seems like the manifestation planner would be a good workbook. You can write out things in another planner or notebook. I like the self journal but I don't want to pay $120.00+ for enough books to last a year. Even though my current system costs more than that
Seems like you’re moving away from Hobonichi! I am too-this year I found that standard is my FAVORITE size, so I’m gonna copy you and cut down an a5 Stalogy. I didn’t like Travelers Company cover, though. I needed more inserts than three, so I got a Chic Sparrow off of the BST group. And…I think I’m sticking with it for the foreseeable future.
I really love the Cousin but I wish there was a size in between the original and the Cousin. I find the original to be too small and then the Cousin to be too big. I kinda sound like Goldilocks, this planner is too big and this planner is too small. But,someday I will find the perfect planner haha
@@Whoopsididitagainco When I got the email from Sterling Ink, I think I squealed a little because before I found the hobonichi I started with B6 inserts. Never let stickers choose your planner choice. Stickers can be cut down to fit the B6 easy. I was always cutting down standard size stickers for my cousin and it was super easy.
@@Whoopsididitagainco That’s very true and a good way of thinking about it. I think I’m where you were, I want to try all the planners and see what sticks. I will say the Sterling Ink planner is looking better by the minute haha.
@@Whoopsididitagainco Ok, after watching your video and seeing the breakdown on how you’re going to use the planners you have purchased, I broke down and bought the Sterling Ink planner.
