Just swinging by the comments to let ya know that we're actually expecting TWO more job reveals for Dawntrail, in addition to the Viper! When Dawntrail was first revealed, they announced that it would ship with two new jobs at launch (the now-revealed Viper along with a still unknown caster archetype). And then at London FanFest this last weekend they just announced that a *third* job would also be added during the 7.XX patches, this one planned to be another "limited" job like Blue Mage. All of which means we can still expect some big time reveals at the Tokyo FanFest this coming January.

Ah, I guess the double ended sword is a bit like Zidane from FF9? I think that was referred to as Thief Sword. Pretty sure more recent depictions of Zidane show that his daggers connect together rather than being a totally unique weapon.
It's indeed lock to lvl 80 because the job start at lvl 80, you also need to buy Dawntrail to unlock the NPC giving you acces to Viper in one of the 3 starting major city (Ul'dha)

Butterfly comes to mind with those weapons, and honestly this class looks pretty fun from what I read about it
