It's so funny but also kind of morbid and sweet at the same time. The plumbob only appears above sims you're actively playing and they leave it behind when they become unplayable. Such a nice touch.

That mysterious artifact that she found is a plumbob. the way i screamed!! the sims team went above and beyond for this ep, and i am so freaking excited to play it!!! i wonder if the color of the plumbob will change if your sim has bad needs when they pass on, so it could be either green, yellow, or red!!!

This pack seems so full of content, so many things to do and new lore to uncover and I love the new Grimtern career. I kind of wish the mortician was also a non-rabbit hole career - would be fun I think for sims to be able to care for graves and dig new plots and talk with grieving families etc. I suppose rabbit hole careers are easier to make for the game designers. I love all the new CAS you were showing off, that cute little ghost tshirt for the infant was so adorable. I can’t wait for this pack to come out!
Please keep doing the first experience videos, we would like to see first impressions and your spontaneous thoughts. Love the long video, what a great surprise to have on a Saturday. Great that the tarot cards need riddles to find, are gorgeous and can be used when the collection is complete - I do a lot of work on collections so I love that this one is more interactive and useful. This pack is going to be such fun and one that is going to be used often. Why don't all packs show this much effort? Well done Sim's team!

As someone who is mainly a builder, I appreciate the gameplay play-throughs so much cuz weirdly enough, I RARELY use Live mode!! I love CAS though but seriously I never have it in me to play in live mode long enough to discover the intricacies that you lay out in this video. Thanks so much! Lmao I love your dedication & enthusiasm cuz I am also sooo excited for this pack to come out!
I know I'm so thinking ahead, but seeing the dual-color split down the middle hairstyles has just made me think of the Nightmare Legacy... I think it would be so cool for Warren to use one of those hairstyles that's split white and black! White to kind of nod to his time as a ghost and his teen form randomizing with greying hair, and black/a darker color to fit with his more natural complexion!
I don't know if you noticed and maybe i'm just dense and wasn't listening well, but the "Mysterious object" when thomas departed, it was his plumbob and it just made me like, go "Woah, recognizing there in the sims??"
Another thing that Maxis did that I like is the ability to turn a ghost sim into a regular sim while in CAS. It makes it easier to dress them. In the past the clothes would take the essence of the ghost form, make it hard to decide if I want to use it. Yes, in the living world the clothes will still be ghost looking, but at least it nice to see the clothes clearly before deciding to put them on a ghost. Good job with that Maxis. I like it.
If my sister died and one day a guy rang my doorbell and said "Hey, it's me, Sylvia, but I'm Victor now!" I would be like "Bestie, did you really just fake your death because you thought it would be less hassle then coming out as trans?" 😭
They changed Nervous Subject's name because he hasn't been adopted by the Beakers in this timeline, so he still has his birth name instead of being turned into a guinnea pig :(
Sims 4 is a different universe. It has no connection to the original lore. Nervous was called Nervous when he was a toddler in Sims 3 and still lived with Olive. His name made him iconic and shows the staple Sims humor we all love. Nyon is basically the Sims 4 version for its own alternative lore. Like Bella or the Landgraabs, etc. The Sims 4 developers made the explicit choice to not honor the original lore. They simply used a few known characters. There is no logical way to make it canon after 10 years. That’s just my opinion as a veteran simmer. I’ll definitely change his name right back. ☺️

I love this video layout. a long video with direction and rhythm. it's so helpful for me, it gives me the background noise I need and it can last multiple days watching bit by bit. I watch so many of her videos to background process sims info. sometimes I can do moresimsie but it's not structured in a way that's helpful for me. please make more like this

Cool idea maybe? Ghost house. When a sim dies and you want to keep them around as a ghost but don’t want them in your household but maybe want to play with them occasionally, make a ghost house where all the ghosts live together. Edit: Also this would be nice if you wanted to make a sim reborn but wanted to do it a few generations down the line and don’t want that ghost in your household in the meantime
im less than 90 seconds in and im already so pleased that you can make ghosts in cas BASE GAME now, this is going to make setting up storylines so much more convenient !!!
Yes, and the ability to toggle occults is so helpful- the amount of times I’ve been almost done making a sim and then realised I forgot to make them their occult first 😠😂
As a non-binary sim myself, I always feel so happy when I see Lilsimsie making NB sims, using their correct pronouns and feeling excited for them, instead of making them a bonus background member of the family 😊
