Everyone says Dire Straits best live stuff was the alchemy tour but this takes some beating. The only disappointment is they didn't do Tunnel of Love, check out their performance of that from 1985 at Wembley Arena absolutely epic
I still love the earlier Dire Straights but not too keen on the later folk/country orientated stuff but I guess he's knocking on now and like me your tastes and influences change.
I was there, this and Simple Minds were the only good bands on that day for me anyway. Shame Simple Minds only did a couple of their tunes as I remember it.

It takes great humility for a big rock band to allow a big star like Eric Clapton to be on stage with them.
I would say it took more humility for EC to get on stage with MK.....Both great players but MK more inovative guitar player.....
