Hey, Mattip, this is really tight! I always enjoy hearing SNES Rainbow Road remixes, and this is easily among my favorite of the many I've heard.
The instrumentation is very bright and vibrant, with the hard electro leads, a bit of chiptune, and that cool down-pitching synth used at the beginning. The bass is sick, too, and has sort of a warmer synthwave-type sound, which grounds the piece quite nicely.
Awesome work with the percussive elements, as well! I'm a fan of those pitched tom fills, and the transitios in general are tight! The way you keep mixing up the rhythms in each section gives the song a nice amount of variance, and I love how you've also incorporated SFX at key moments, like the countdown and "GO!" sounds at the start, and that item roulette leading into the Starman interlude.
Speaking of which, that was a really creative idea, and I love how seamlessly you integrated the Starman theme into your Rainbow Road arrangement. It feels like it's not an easy transition to pull off, either, but it's such a neat twist. And the visuals look great, too! I love how they sync up with SFX in the song - that extra bit of effort really goes a long way!
Once again, excellent work, man. I hope this reaches a wide audience, and it certainly deserves to! 🌟
