Firstly thank you so much 😊 for providing such good quality video lectures through a platform which is easily accessible to everyone. I’m a jee aspirant and I’m in 11th. In the initial days of my jee Physics lectures I couldn’t understand anything and didn’t have affinity towards physics at all. But then when I started watching your videos things changed drastically and I improved a lot. You are doing a great job you are the best physics teacher ever I have seen in my life. Keep uploading such videos and sir please finish the whole jee syllabus before 2021 because this is when I’m going to give my jee exam. I’m dependent on you for physics as I don’t understand completely what my physics coaching teacher teaches in class. And sir a very humble request please please increase the frequency of video lectures of physics.

so,agar waise yaad rakhna hai...so can we replace n2 by n1 and n1 by n2 in the formula... usse bhi aa rha h...as wo to sirf ek notation hai...
Exactly same problem which I have faced right now. I got confused between n1 and n2 ,as alakh sir techaed us in real depth and apperant depth.
Then I start looking at the comment section, & I finally found you.
n2/n1 = d/d' where n2 is R.I( refractive index) jidhar se light aa rhi hai and n1 R.I of medium jidhar ko light jaa rahi hai.
So what is the solution to this problem? Please help

There is a problem (error) in usage of formula, because, in the derivation we have already considered sign convention for u (object distance) and we use sign convention during it's application which gives incorrect answer.
