The Maono is the clear winner. It has a much more relaxed, virtually professional sound. When using it, you sound like you're in a room that's been treated for radio production. Compared to the Fifine, which has a harsh, hard edged sound you'd expect from a cheap mic, it's really impressive how much bang for the buck the Maono gives you.
The Maono sounds warmer and good voice over/podcast and the FiFine sounds slightly 'tinny' to me. Maybe its a cheaper capsule. The Fifine almost sounds better at a distance but id pick the Maono everytime.
Got Maono pm461s for less than 30usd. Come with complete kit, shock mount, pop filter and desk mount arm. At this price, if I only receive a stand I still wouldn't be mad.
1 Query - How did you connect your iPhone adapter with dual mic mount???? BDW this was an awesome video, thanks for showing everything in detail, without watching this video I wouldn't have realized that dual mic mount can also be used to hold a phone. It would be easier for us if you put up the links to those accessories (used for phones mounting), i haven't found any video on this dual mic mount which can be a good alternative for overhead shots. only the old videos which aren't working anymore, because they are just phone mounting video on boom arm but not the mic. in your setup it looks promising to have both on same mount. Can you please make a video on this?
I had the maono mic.. but I had to be very very close to the mic and then only it recorded my voice that also with clipped voice even in low gain doesn't work well.. if I be 5 or 6 inches away it recorded too too quite voice and most of background noise.. so is my laptop not providing power to the mic as it's an old laptop or what could it be??can u help..I wanted to record cover . But gave me bad experience
Mics like these are very sensitive to background noise. Try to make your room as silent as possible. And also do post processing to your recording /aka very very very basic audio tips.
Thank you for the review. I am going to choose to buy a mic between maono au-pm461tr and fifine k669b. I have decided to pick maono as you did. I checked that Fifine k669b is actually the same as T669 except for removing the arm and the filter, and still k669b is $10 more expensive than maono. And for the sound quality after watching your video, Maono wins in my opinion, so there is no reason for me to pick K669b over au-pm461tr.
I understand that the gain is equal between both mics but I think theyre both the same quality I believe the maono mic just has a lower gain and the fifine has the higher one so for example the sweet spot for maono is 50 and fifine 40, they sound the same but different levels of gain I found fifine a long time ago, it is a very good value, and then the price increased and I still believe its really good
@@MrAyrit In our home office, beside me is my brother. Both of us have our meetings and the noise is colliding. Hoping to find some mic that has good noise cancellations.
@@louisecarlomercado8046 I don’t know if this will do the trick on that. You probably need to look for something like has software specifically for that. Maybe even a shotgun style mic that is super directional, or a headset that you can get the mic right up to your mouth.
I purchased the Fifine mic with a tripod stand in March 2020. Worked perfect until last month. It wouldn’t pick up any audio. I then realized that the dial on the front had to be slightly pushed in to work properly. Idk how it broke but now there is tape there holding it in place.
Taklo I just went with a Vmoda boom pro mic. It plugs into your headphones and has a mute button, volume, and mic is by your mouth. Can use it on console and pc and you can use your favorite headphones as long as it has a detachable cable. @@danyfry39946 Good to know, well I already ordered this microphone because I do voiceovers and my Fifine Mic broke, This mic should come tomorrow so I can tell you if its actually any good.
Well, to each their own, but I pretty much only care that it is easy to use and sounds good. Looks aren’t of much importance to me when it comes to a microphone.
And can I connect it with my mobile phone and record? Do I need an OTG connector for that? How good will be the performance if I record a video with mobile using this mic for audio?
Those look like the correct models. I would not recommend them for use if they will be more than a couple of feet away from your mouth. You may be wanting more of a shotgun or lavalier set up for that.
@@MrAyrit hi i would like to ask which model is better for singing? Im stuck between maono pm au461tr or fifine k669.Both product is good and the price is almost similar in ny country

@@MrAyrit But that really concerns me! In the video you had to turn the FiFine mic down because it was too strong. But the Maono mic has to have both the dial and the gain on your computer maxed? @@kjb3532 yes, the Maono has limited gain, that’s probably it’s biggest con. You can hear the audio quality, if you don’t mind the Fifine, then go for it if you need the extra gain. If you’re going to be within a couple of feet, I think you’ll be fine. Plus, you can always boost it a little in post if needed (if you’re not recording live).
@@MrAyrit I definitely agree with you that the Maono has the better audio quality. I wonder if the PM-422 has the same issue with limited gain.
