Its probably called Poison Girl because potassium cyanide has a bitter almond smell. Amethyst macerates that off note away, I think. I hated it at first but then gave it another chance a few weeks later and loved it.

Hey my hun, wow, love this video. Amethyst is ( in my mind) the most seductive of all the perfumes, I had a giggle when you said not first date perfume but say number 5 when you are about to get married. My mind ( I have such a vivid imagination) saw a couple going out for the 5th date and she is wearing Amethyst and he falls so much under her spell, he proposes on the spot as he is enchanted by her scent. I am censoring my imagination as I could see a whole story there 😁😄 . It remains my big love of dark magical powerful Arabian fairy tale perfume. Modest Deux smelled nice to me but did not make me go 'wow' and so it is macerating, I know I had a very new batch. I will check it soon again as it will have had 6 months by January or February. I knew I should be in love with it, but it just was not yet there , if you know what I mean, this was before I had heard about how M E fragrances can become more beautiful with maceration. Now I am longing to check out just to see how it is going. Gerry is starting his summer vacation today, sadly we have showers forecast for a week or so, hope we can go to the beach and swim in the ocean etc during the holidays. Let it sit for a while. I'm feeling the same way about the Sublime so I'll let it sit. I hated Ana Abiyedh Rouge when I first sprayed it. So I let it sit for 2 months and now it's all I wanted to use.

Modest Deux definitely gets stronger. I've had it nearly a year. Hadn't worn it for months but noticed when doing decants recently.
