    I'm a Canadian white tail hunter and we have some big fat white tail here, I have also hunted Texas and our small white tail are bigger then even then most mature in texas. Our hunts are a hard hunt alot of times but when you hunt for meat it's worth the time. Steven Rinella is an amazing human being and is very intelligent and well educated. I hunt for food for my family but cannot pretend to be anything like Mr Rinella. I support hunting and support conservation in my area. My children prefer wild meat and live a healthier life on wiod meat, I hunt for sustainable living and not for sport

    how can i learn how to hunt for free? who would teach?
    thank you for this. still listening 4 years later in 2019. cant wait to see more. this show has really increased my longing for learning how to hunt. i plan to move out west one day and learn

    53:26 exactly. Texas has the largest whitetail population in the US, but honestly, because I don't have access to a private ranch it's cheaper for me to go hunt Muleys in Colorado than it is to stay home and hunt Whitetail. ...more enjoyable too.

    bryan callen utah doesnt give you a mt lion tag but you can buy them over the counter for select units but a lot of regulations need to be followed

    Love the podcast guys. But a good friend of ours was killed bow hunting elk buy a grizzly bear just a couple years ago here in Alberta. Exact situation Steve's describing. Still keep it up we love your work

    I did a camp trip for a few days, ate a bird, not exactly sure what kind but it was a robin type just because there were so many and I wanted to see what they were all about. They taste like liver... so weird. Not bad, but not what I was expecting

    31:06 discussion of bear attacks. I think the problem of animals becoming habituated to humans in parks like Yellowstone are what contributes to Grizzlies posing a greater danger to humans. Personally, I feel safer in the National Forest than I do in a National Park.

    Why didn't Steve talk about supposedly getting trichonosis from eating rare bear meat? He has a RUclips vid talking about it and how bad it was for the whole group. I wonder whether he actually got it or not now.

    Utah did away with the resident small game license. Somin order to hunt upland, water fowl and small game you need to buy a combination hunting fishing license. Which is also the required hunting license you need to apply for the other tags Utah offers. As far as I know this only applies to residents.

    Wild animals = Indigenous species, or vice versa. And, I agree, limits to keep population in check is in our best interest's. Invasive species = Shoot those fish in that barrel. exp. invasive pigs in Texas. Waiting for the bounty.
