- 28 years after Indian, Kamal Haasan and S Shankar are returning with Indian 2 (Hindustani 2 in Hindi). Joining them in this Lyca Productions' venture is Siddharth. In an exclusive conversation with CNN-News18's Titas Chowdhury, the trio talk about creating this magnum opus with a patriotic flavour and how they've inspired each other as professionals. Siddharth lauds praises on Haasan and Rajinikanth and Shankar reveals the one commonality between these legends. Haasan strongly reacts to the conversation around increase in actors' fees and how he and Rajinikanth are looking at good scripts today and not good payment.

That is because he had to manage his daughter's wedding amidst all this. His movies have been amazing throughout his career. However, trying to fit into the new era might be a huge challenge for him. Additionally, the music has received terrible feedback as the audience was expecting it to have the essence of Part 1. We'll have to wait and see if he nails it or fails.

nope. June 2 is when they are doing Tamil CBFC rating. ANd only then telugu and hindi CBFC censor will be done. So, iwth mere 11 days left and with international promotions flying between countries and states, he barely sleeps more than 3 hours. Unlike Hollywood we don't have 2-3 directors working together for a film. Unfortunately Shankar's assitant stood for shankar when he signed game changer tjhinking Indian-2 will never resurrect but when it did he allocated 15 days for Indian-2 and 15 days for Game changer until Ram charan took a gap for RRR oscar and paternity leave. Shankar assitant directed few scenes like how audience erupting for Senapathy in different towns etc.
Shankar is 10x hardworking than any director in the industry, and he still never misses any of his family functions like kids borthday, wedding anniversary etc. ofc, I heard these from multiple interviews.
Also, he is not fluent in English. He barely completed diploma in mech engineering. and omg some stick a sock in siddarth's mouth. Why is he jumping and answering others questions? He even interfere's with Kamal's answers.
Sidharth should keep quiet and avoid his hyper activeness and allow Shankar sir to speak

Govt should do a better job in preventing sales of illicit liquor. But if people still don’t understand what is and what is not safe for them and choose to drink methanol, then sorry, it is their fault. The 60 did not die in service of other people. They died because they wanted to get inebriated but didn’t want to spend more money. No one forced them to drink methanol.
Banning alcohol is loss of revenue and it will lead to smuggling n creating gangsters or existing gangsters becoming big. We need to understand the issues also..so govt owning alcohol shop is not bad , but the movies or any media should refrain from showing alcohol as normal but show alcohol only if script needs it n might be show what alcoholism can do..because what happens is more states ban alcohol the incentive is more for the smugglers,also it goes to illegal arms etc we just don't understand the enormity of it

With the victory of KALKI, I guess Shankar has tough time selling INDIAN2. If the movie doesn’t do well, he will go down as the director who has gone from riches to rags. The trailer is nauseating and the songs are below average.

True I didnt feel the anchor was disrespectful. May be she is comfortable sitting in that pose so that she can conduct the interview gracefully. Both Kamal Haasan and Shankar didn't feel uncomfortable as well. Had they felt disrespectful they would have responded accordingly.

After Kalki’s flop(not commercially but based on people’s review), next big budget flop is in making. Sankar’s times of making over the board expensive movies are over. Now it’s an era of low budget, realistic content and good returns. Even uneducated people have stopped enjoying all CG based unrealistic films. But these legends still don’t seem to get it.

Out of 100, more than 70 percent didn’t like the film. Prabhas who is a real hero does not even speak high of his projects because he knows it is nonsense but just takes it because he doesn’t want to offend people. So called celebs you mentioned above just at times tweet to show their support for their friends in industry like Rajini to Amitabh, etc. and it is mostly not even them tweeting. It may be costliest. That does not mean anything to us, the audience. What we check is, whether it is worth watching? So far, what we understand is, INDIAN 2 is not a film worth watching. Let us see what Blur Sattaui Ilamaran says it on 13 July 2024.
