As I already mentioned in the video: My next few uploads are going to be shorter and simpler videos. Nothing too special but I think they will be interesting anyway. Also don't forget to suggest more machines and tracks which could yield interesting results. Cya next month o/
Found another one that I think only insane people would use: the Big Giraffe-FX. It's simply no good unless you lean to Acceleration settings. Even racing it on 50% won't be enough. If it can't clear Twist Road, of all tracks, without requiring side attacks, there is no way it could even hope to touch something like Spiral. Plus, most aren't going to create that machine since cheat codes are required (you'd need Hornet-FX). Like Air Emperor-V2, it's a machine that shouldn't be entertained when going for Grand Prix mode. (Heck, even L + R can't help the machine much unless its on Acceleration settings. But at least it can snake).
The search for the truly awful machine is real difficult. It's not like any one machine is horrible in every course. But I will say that a good machine should be able to at least survive an entire cup. The other thing to factor in is how machines perform with certain balances. Some vehicles like Air Glider-V2 turn out smooth and great to drive. But can lock up if fully set to Max Speed. On the other hand, balancing it makes feel very identical to Deep Claw, just that it'll feel like skating on ice. Something like Quick Rider can complete a Grand Prix, but it is super fragile, and super slow. It probably won't be able to reach its potential unless the player is a strong racer.
It's a bummer we weren't able to hone down the path to the worst machine. I'm still interested in the leaderboard idea, but that would require a lot of participation from the public, and I'm not sure enough people would want to put in that kind of time investment...
I believe i remember making a vehicle so bad, it could not beat any GP on Expert no matter what i tried. Or even get top 10... I remember putting a vehicle with low acceleration and low speed together. I fell behind so fast on so many courses, there was no way to recover anything... The only thing i remember is going by the stats of Low acceleration and low speed, and go from there. Even if the stats arent accurate.
I think another interesting challenge to do would be to see what the worst custom vehicles would be in F-Zero X. It would probably be a lot simpler at least, since those machines are just defined by their 3 main stats + their weight (right?).
It's an interesting question if the EEE machine would have any use on advanced techniques and thus would have to be a more specific combo...but if that isn't the case, then it would be if a light or heavy EEE machine are worse in X
@@ArcadeStriker EEE can excel because low grip takes advantage of Slider mechanics. EEA (and heavy) on the other hand...the exact opposite. But not impossible to win with. Just hard.
@@custom-r yeah, an EEA heavyweight is basically just a much more fragile black bull. Honestly I think EEB would be worse due to it having less grip but still be horrendous at drifting, but I'm not an expert on high grip machines
im honestly surprised you managed to get the Muscle Cancer Z to perform well... i never made it work... hey... i guess it depends on the pilot as well..
