Customizing a Cut Capo for my Bourgeois guitar

I just got a new Bourgeois Touchstone OM guitar and the nut width (string spacing) is wider than all my other guitars that the standard Short-Cut works FINE on. So, the only way for me to play like I normally do on this new guitar is to make a capo like I used to 25 years ago. In fact, I think the last one I cut by hand was at the NAMM show in like 2004 or 2005. Our shipment was either delayed or not packed correctly and we got to NAMM with absolutely ZERO Short-Cut Capos! I didn't even have one in my guitar case! So we took a Kyser Drop-D capo and hunted around other booths until finding someone with a hack-saw so we could have a capo to demo! Good times
